-The next morning very early-

Uni's p.o.v

I rolled out of my bed as my alarm clock went off. Cory was already up and ready. He had the backpack he packed on and he was standing by the door. I got a shirt and pants out of my dresser and looked at Cory. He looked at me with a 'really?' Face,he stilled turned and left my room so I could change. I quickly got changed then put the backpack on and walked out into the hall where Cory is.

We walked downstairs and out the front door. I looked over at Cory and he had his map out. He put it away and began walking towards where the forest ends. I quickly followed him. When we got to the edge of the forest there was a path I hadn't seen before. He walked down that path. We slowly got deeper and deeper into the forest. The sunrise began to give some light so we could see better. The forest was still dark. All you could hear was our feet on the ground and some leafs crunching under our feet. 

"So,where exactly are we headed?"

"Um,we're heading to the crystal river. It's the place where we can find the easiest item. That's why we're getting the crystal first."

"Oh,so how long will it take to get there?"

"I'm not sure,but I'm assuming around another 2 hours."

"How do we get the crystal?"

"It'll be in the river,the river grows crystals is it. It quite interesting actually. Anyway I'll just grab one and then we'll be on our way to the second easiest item."

"How many items are there?"

"Fifteen counting the crystal,"

"That's kinda a lot,"

"I know,but that's what's needed,"

"Where is crystal river anyway?"

"It's deep in the forest,that's pretty much all I know on where it is other than the fact that if we follow this trail it's supposed to lead us there,"

"This is going to be a long trip,"

"You bet!"Cory said. 

Tommy's p.o.v

Nick shook me awake.  He was all ready to go.  He was wearing a dark blue hoodie so he could be out in the sun. I hopped out of bed and put my yellow hoodie over my shirt. I didn't bother changing my pants. I grabbed my bag and went downstairs. I made some toast real quick and ate it. I left a note for my 'mom' and then we were off. Nick was leading the way. Soon we reached the forest. There was a path that led into the forest. Nick began walking down the path me following behind him.

"Where are we going?"

"Crystal river,it has the easiest item then we can make our way to the other places with the other items,"

"How many items even are there?"

"Fifteen,"

"Fifteen!"

"That's what I said,"

"How long is this going to take?"

"I don't know,a while."

"Whatever,"

"You didn't have to come,it was your choice,"

"I know,and I don't regret this,"

"And why's that?"

"Because it'll help you,"

"I mean yeah but, why does that matter to you?"

"Because Nick,you're my friend,"

"I guess,"he said. We continued to walk down the trail. The sun was already up even though it was still quite early. Nick had his hood up so he didn't get burned. This was going to be a really long trip.

Jon's p.o.v

I was already up and ready for the trip. Dawn was still asleep so I went downstairs and ate some breakfast. It was still pretty early even though my parents already went to work. I told them I'd be gone for a while and they actually agreed. I was exited for this trip. I get to go on a cool adventure and it helps someone. As I was washing my dish I heard someone come down the stairs. I turned to look at the stairs and saw dawn. He walked over to me.

"Ready?"he said adjusting the strap of the backpack on his shoulder.

"Yep!" He chuckled and we walked to the front door. Dawn walked out first then me. I locked the door and dawn started walking down my driveway. I ran after him. He led us to the forest,there was a trail that led into it. Dawn walked down the path. I caught up to him.

"How many items are there?"

"Fifteen,"

"Wow! Why so many?"

"I don't know,"

"Hmm, it's worth it though,"

"Definitely,"

"So,what are you going to do when you become human again?"

"Hmm,actually I haven't thought about that yet. I mean I don't have much to go back to. My family is probably gone so all I could really do is finish high school and get a good job."

"That's it,No kids or significant other?"

"I mean I don't really know, it's hard to find people that'd like me. Most people enjoy people that are socialize. I don't talk much so people don't really like me that much."

"What? How could people not like you?"

"I mean not many people are interested in people like me,"

"That's stupid!"

"Wha-"

"People like you are amazing! You, Dawn are amazing! I don't know how anyone could not like you!"

"Thanks Jon,"he said hugging me.

"You're welcome dawn!"I said with a huge smile on my face. We broke the hug and continued to walk. As we walked I decided to grab dawn's hand. He looked at me and I smiled. He smiled back and looked forward. This trip will be worth it!

-2 hours later-

Cory's p.o.v

We finally made it to the river. It was absolutely beautiful! There were huge trees with vines hanging from them. The water was a beautiful aqua and you could see through it. It looked like a place out of a fairytale. I knelt down beside the river and stuck my hand in. I found a crystal and began pulling it. I pulled my hand out of the water after I felt a sting on my hand. I looked at my hand and saw it was bleeding. Uni quickly took notice and got bandages out. He wrapped it around my hand. He smile don't at me then he went to get the crystal. But this time when he grabbed it,it slipped out easily. Are you kidding me?! My face had a look of frustration. Uni chuckled and put the crystal into his backpack. He helped me up to my feet.

"Where to next?"

"The flower garden," we hopped over the river and walked towards outer next destination.

Nick's p.o.v

We made it! I rushed over to the river and knelt down. I went to grab a crystal when I remembered that only humans can grab the things. I looked around for Tommy but he wasn't there. A wave of worry washed over me. I looked around frantically. 

"BOO!"someone yelled from behind me.

"AHH!"I screamed turning around quickly. Then I realized it was just Tommy. I growled as he laughed.

"Tommy,can you please get the crystal?"

"Why can't you get it?"

"Because that's how it goes,only humans can get the items."

"Oh..." he said. He then grabbed the crystal I was trying to get before and he went to put the crystal in his back but then he stopped. He stared at the crystal amazed. He smiled at the crystal and put it away.

"Where to next Nick?"

"The flower garden,"

"What kind of stupid name is that?"

"I don't know Thomas,I didn't make it p."

"Sure you didn't,"

"Are you calling me stupid?"

"No,"

"Whatever,we should get going,"

"Lead the way!" Tommy said. I sighed and stepped over the river. The path continued thankfully. It shouldn't be to long until we get to the garden.

Dawn's p.o.v

Jon and I arrived at the river. I knew that Jon had to get the crystal. I sat down by the river and closed my eyes. I could hear the water running and the wind blowing. It sounded beautiful. 

"What are you doing?" Jon said quietly siting next to me. I opened my eyes and turned to Jon.

"Just enjoying the view,"

"I guess this is quite beautiful,"

"Um,Jon I need you to grab one of those crystals,"I said pointing to a batch of crystals.

"Mkay,"he said. He leaned forward and grabbed a crystal. He yanked it out and smiled at me. 

"Here!" He said handing me the crystal. I put it in my backpack. I pushed myself up and helped Jon up.

"We should get heading off,"

"Where?"

"Our next stop,the flower garden,"

"Sounds pretty,"

"Probably is,"

"Yay!" Jon said. I smiled at him. I stepped over the river easily. I turned around to Jon. He was still on the other side. Jon moved his leg to step over but he couldn't reach across. I sighed and stepped back over the river. I picked Jon up bridal style and stepped back over the river. I looked down at Jon,he was blushing.

"T-Thanks,"he stuttered. I placed him down.

"Let's get going,"

"Yeah!"
