The streets of Manhattan were dead quiet. The city had been evacuated immediately after it was discovered that an alien robot was coming. There was not a single person left in the Big Apple. Well, actually that last statement wasn't exactly true. There was one human hiding in the city. Problem was, it was kinda hard to hide when one was fifty feet tall.

Trembling all over, Daisy jumped at every sound. She was beyond terrified at this point. Her heart was racing. The young woman was afraid that it could potentially explode. Peering around the Empire State Building, she looked around for any signs of danger. Luckily, there were none. Breathing a small sigh of relief, Daisy took a step forward.

A beam of red energy struck the ground at her feet.

Yelping, Daisy tumbled backwards. Knocking her head against the pavement, her vision blurred. Rubbing the sore spot while she rapidly blinked her eyes, the young woman slowly looked up. The giant alien robot monkey was there, towering over her. Its tail was morphed into a cannon. And it was getting ready to take another shot. Gasping, Daisy rolled out of the way in the nick of time. Scrambling to her feet, she broke off into a dead run towards the Brooklyn Bridge. The robot followed close behind.

"Guys!" Snowball shouted, still stuck to the robot's foot. The robot took a step. When it picked up its foot again, the shapeshifting blob cried out, "Help me!"

Step.

"Please!"

Step.

"Help- ooh, carrots-"

Step.

"No! Go back!"

Step.

"Ay caramba..." Tiberius muttered, flying high above. Even at an altitude of a thousand feet, he could hear Snowball crying out for help down below. The bird monster had been observing the alien robot, trying to find its weakness. He couldn't see any. Huffing, he flew down and landed on the street just as Chloe emerged from the sewers. Her wet clothes clinging to her soaked fur, the cat-like creature panted heavily as she murmured, "That robot... it's too fast..."

"If you exercised like me, you wouldn't have that problem-" Tiberius was saying when both monsters heard something up the street. They turned their heads just as a city bus struck them. At the wheel of his improved method of transportation, Ozone shouted, "Get in! I have a plan! I'm gonna drive up alongside the robot and then one of you is going to toss this bomb into its cannon!" As he was saying that, he held up a live bomb. Chloe's eyes widened as she shouted, "Are you out of your mind?! You'll kill us all!"

"Guys! You made it!" Snowball cheered before the robot took another step. The rest of the monsters looked up just as the giant alien robot monkey lifted its foot. Delighted to see his friends, Snowball flung himself off the robot and crashed into the bus. Unable to see, Ozone accidentally drove the city bus into the Hudson River. A moment later, water exploded into the air as the bomb went off under the surface.
