Forbidden
Our bodies entangled
Limbs bumping into limbs,
Our hearts pounding madly
Skin against skin.
We stand awkwardly,
too close together
In this dark, hidden space.
We whisper,
Murmuring words of
Love and patience—
Oh, so much patience!—
As we share the same air
And quietly kiss
And render sweet caresses
And tremble in hushed tones,
Focused and forced,
Feverish and forbidden,
The world out there
Completely unaware.
