Tyrant
I should have known from my very first breath
I will not be chosen if I didn't take from the world what I want —
And yet, you'll curse me still, call me names
If my image isn't enough, target my body instead.
Make a mockery of the family name
Turn loyalty into a fantasy suited for the feeble
But you were the one who placed me on the throne
And put the diadem upon my brow
So why do you call me a tyrant now?
If you loathe me so, then kill me now
Give me the fatal blow and send me to Hades
But don't you dare weep at my wake
You shall only look pitiful, a farce
I cover my eyes away in shame; what an embarrassment you have become!
I am not heartless if you have torn out my heart
Why blame these unfeeling eyes when you have made them grow cold
Take away my joy and put its onus upon me
Where is the truth in these, the justice?
The burden on one side has truly grown heavy.
I know a day will come
When you are but a mere name in my tale
No one will remember your deeds or merits
Only my association will be your fame
Time sees all and Time is patient and you will reap what you have sown.
