Chapter 21
"Eren..." Levi looked at the boy who was sitting on his bed. Overwhelming guilt coursed through him. He didn't mean for Eren to witness a fight between Peter and himself. "Brat...I'm sorry okay."
Eren didn't even look at Levi. Not until he felt two fingers under his chin that guided him directing into Levi's gaze. Levi was very close...and Eren didn't mind one bit.
"I'm not going to beg you for fucking forgiveness. But I'm apologizing here, and I rarely do that. So accept it." Levi leaned in closer, their lips barely apart from each other. Eren felt his mind go fuzzy and he closed his eyes, expecting a kiss.
Levi smirked. "Accept my apology?" He breathed against Eren's lips. He knew what he was doing to the brat, and he liked it. Eren nodded and reopened his eyes, a shiver running down his spine. He wanted to kiss Levi more than anything, but he had Joey. Joey who he has been dating for a year. Joey who had kissed him plenty of times. But Joey didn't love Eren the way Eren wanted to be loved. But leaving him wasn't an option.
Levi pulled away. "Great. Because I don't like people being mad at me." I don't like you being mad at me.
Eren smiled slightly and leaned against the wall, his mind was still slightly fuzzy. Why didn't Levi kiss him?
"I didn't kiss you because you have a boyfriend. But if you didn't..." He let the sentence trail off, a smirk on his face. He took pride in the blush that spread across Eren's cheek. "Well brat, if you're going to stay over do you want my bed? I can take the floor."
Eren nodded his head and sighed.
I'm going to the bathroom.
"Got it." When Eren disappeared into the bathroom Levi breathed out. What was he doing? He barely knew this brat, yet he wanted him. Is it because he was actually missing Erwin? That he needed to fill the void? No, he wasn't going to have a void filler. Besides, the brat was in a relationship already and he could tell that Eren wasn't getting out of it anytime soon. As much as he wanted to beat the shit out of Joey he knew that Eren would just get pissed at him.
When Eren came back in he smiled at Levi and sat in the desk chair. He then started messing on Levi's computer. "What do you think you're doing brat?" He stood up and saw that he was just adding himself on Skype. "Why did you do that?"
I figured if we ever got lonely this would be a simple solution.
"I guess that makes sense." He nodded. "Are you tired? Because my bed is open for you." Levi pulled Eren out of the chair and sat there instead.
Where will you sleep?
"This chair. I've done it plenty of times." Eren sat on the bed and looked out the window above the bed. There was a figure running down the street and to the door. I wonder who...
The sound of the door opening and heavy footsteps bounding up the stairs already have away who it was.
"Levi!" Hanji's voice sang out. "Let me in! I have exciting news!" Levi sighed and got up, letting the brown-haired bomb in. "What is it four-eyes?" He closed the door, locking it again.
"You can't call me that because you have on your hipster glasses." She stuck out her tongue and turned, seeing Eren.
"And why is my little titan here?" She jumped onto the bed next to Eren, causing him almost to fall off the bed.
Levi sat back in his chair. "Why're you here? That's the question." An annoyed tone laced his voice, as it almost always did with Hanji.
"Ah yes! Well, I was talking to my mother and she said that we can take you and another friend to Cali for spring break! And I was thinking Eren here would be perfect!" She wrapped her arms around the tan skinned boy.
"That's great and all, but I don't know if Eren could come." Eren then cleared his throat, directing their attention to his phone.
I would love that. I'll get back to you on it.
Hanji clapped her hands together. "Great! It would be so much fun if you came with!"
Eren smiled at her brightly. It's been a long time since he felt so...wanted by people. He had his current friends but they didn't treat him like this. Like they really wanted him around. But Hanji seemed genuine.
Hanji glanced over at Levi and saw a look. A look that he didn't even give Erwin.
"Levi, can I talk to you in private?" She stood up before he could protest. "We'll be right back sweetie!" She pulled Levi out the door and down the hallway into the guest room.
"What the fuck?" He hissed at her.
"You really do like Eren, don't you?" She started at him intently, trying to read his expression.
"Yes I like the brat. He's not annoying, like some people." He shot at her, crossing his arms.
"No, do you like him! Like you wanna push him against a wall and-"
"Shut up four-eyes! I don't like the brat in that way. He has a boyfriend."
"But admit it! You want him either way. You've known the kid for a week and he's making you feel this way."
"He isn't making me feel anyway!" He snapped at her.
"Or are you just interested in him because you miss Erwin?"
If looks could kill Hanji would be splattered against a wall. "Hanji-"
"I saw the pictures on your wall. Of you two together. You miss being with him."
"What makes you think that bullshit?"
"Because I know you better than anyone Levi. You and Erwin and a great relationship and you miss it. You didn't want to break up with him, did you?"
"I-" he looked at her and sighed, giving in. "Fine. I didn't want to break up with him. But we had too, and you know that."
"Yes I do, but listen Levi. I know you like that boy but don't you go crawling to him because you miss Erwin. Go to him when you actually care."
"I don't crawl to fucking anybody." He growled. "Just stay out of my business."
Hanji laughed and poked his cheek. "You know I can't do that."
Levi rubbed where she poked him. "I know. I fucking know."
"Come on. We have a cute little boy to attend to." She walked to the door. "And you got to admit, he's got a cute ass."
"Four-eyes!"
