Chapter 25
(A/N: when does school start for you guys? Or when did it start? I start Monday and lets just say: the fml level is higher than the Military Police)
Fuck this place. Fuck it in the ass, with a cactus. This is the last place Levi wanted to be.
School. Satan's personal playground.
"Oh Levi cheer up! It's the first day!"
"Shitty four-eyes. How can you be so fucking stellar right now?"
Hanji was practically jumping as they walked up the pathway to Trost High. Trost was apparently the number one high school in this state. It's education ranking in the top ten and it offers a wide array of classes.
He hated it already.
"How can I not! This is Trost High! It's a playground for education."
"It's a playground for Satan."
Hanji punched his arm. "Stop acting so grumpy. You already know me and then Ymir! Two people."
"It's not that you crazy ass. It's the fact that I had to get up so fucking early." He growled.
"Because you need beauty sleep." She rolled her eyes. "And my mom said Eren will be here. Sophomores and juniors share the same lunch this year."
Eren. He hasn't seen or talked to the kid in a week. Hanji's mom said that he "needed space" so the only person that's been able to see him was Mikasa. Levi's been craving his presence.
"How's the brat been?" He glanced over at her.
"I don't know. Every time he came over my mom or dad rushed me into my room. And when I tried to go and spy either my mom or dad was in front of the office, guarding. And no matter what I did I couldn't bug any information out of them. Plus they locked the office!"
"Damn..." He mumbled. They quickly walked to the Arts building for "junior orientation". Which basically meant we give you your damn schedule, you meet your fucking teachers, and then you scamper your ass out. That's it.
As much as Levi hated to admit it, he loved the layout of the school. It was set up on a big-ass campus. Like a college. In the center of the campus was the administrative building and stemming out from it were four buildings: freshmen, sophomore, junior, and senior. And stemming from those were the Arts building, Gymnasium, and Cafeteria. The freshmen building didn't have anything stemming from it but the sophomores got the Cafeteria, juniors got the Arts, and seniors got the Gym. In the front of the school were two parking lots: student/visitor and faculty. The student/visitor parking was split into three sections: visitors, juniors, and seniors.
So all in all it was a nice layout, it was the amount of students that turned Levi off so much. This school had to he three times the size of the one in California. Making its population almost a thousand. That's too many dirty ass people.
When they entered the building Levi felt like he was going to have a breakdown. Hundreds of dirty, sweaty teenagers were milling from the auditorium, to the chorus room, to the drama room and all over the fucking place. And he had to battle his way to the end of the hall to even get the schedule.
"So many people! It's amazing!" Hanji stared in awe at the germ infested people. Of course she liked it. Hanji loves being around people, even if they don't love being around her.
"This is fucking disgusting. It's like they don't bathe." He wrinkled his nose in disgust.
"Oh they bathe, you're just too much of a clean freak to notice." Hanji took Levi's hand and pushed their way through the crowd until they reached the "information" table.
"Hello!" An overly perky blonde in a cheerleader uniform was behind the table, along with a red-head in the same getup. "We haven't seen you two before, you must be new student!" The red-head picked up a clipboard. "Names." She said in flat voice. Apparently gingy here wasn't feeling the school spirit.
"Levi Rivaille."
"Hanji Zöe."
They were quickly handed their schedules and rushed out the building back outside. "Lets see what's up!"
Hanji looked down at her schedule, excited. (A/N: since this is all made up their courses are too. no judge) It read:
Homeroom- Mr. May
1st Period- AP World History: Mrs. Nemec
2nd Period- Algebra II: Mr. Humphrey
3rd Period- AP Chemistry: Mr. May

5th Period- Physical Education: Mr. Stegar
6th Period- AP Psychology: Mr. Braxton
7th Period- Spanish II: Ms. Ozera
"Yay! All the courses I applied for! What about you Levi?"
Levi looked down at his schedule then looked at Hanji's. His was:
Homeroom- Ms. Deeley
1st Period- Chemistry: Mr. May
2nd Period- Algebra II: Mr. Humphrey
3rd Period- Language and Composition: Ms. Deeley
4th Period- World History: Mrs. Nemec
Lunch
5th Period- Physical Education: Mr. Stegar
6th Period- Photography: Ms. Poppy
7th Period- American Sign Language I: Mr. Grey
"Pretty much what I signed up for." He mumbled, showing her the paper.
"Yay! We have math and P.E. together!" Her eyebrow raises at the language he'd chosen. "You know that you've already completed the required two years for a foreign language, right? Or is that for different reasons?"
"I did it because I wanted too, that's why."
"Sure..." She smiled widely, a glint in her eye. "Lets just go find our little friends."
Once again pulling Levi along, Hanji made their way to the Cafeteria. Sophomores were milling around, creating a less chaotic vibe than the juniors did.
They immediately found Armin, who was looking over his schedule.
"Hey Armin!" Hanji rushed over and hugged the blonde. Over the summer they've bonded over their excessive love of knowledge and learning. Weirdos.
"Hanji! And Levi! It's felt like forever, but it's only been a week." He smiled brightly.
"I know right! Anyway, where's everybody else?"
"They're inside all talking."
"Mikasa and Eren too?"
Armin shook his head. "Mikasa is but Eren is in the admin. building."
"Why would he be there? He's a sophomore, so he should be here." Levi stepped next to Hanji.
"Well because of the whole he won't talk thing the school has put him in a small class of deaf people. Because they use sign language there. He hates being there though. Only three other people with him. The only time I get to see him is lunch, P.E., and ASL."
"Why is he taking sign language if he already knows it?"
"The school won't let him take anything else. They think he'll hold back the other students." Armin had slight disgust in his voice. Apparently he wasn't too keen on the idea.
Hanji whined. "I only get to see my little titan at lunch? Bullshit! Complete bullshit!"
Armin's eyes widened at her words. "Hanji! Don't curse around here. The principal has ears everywhere."
"Sure, and I'm fucking Madonna." Levi drawled, rolling his eyes.
Armin suddenly had a look that you get when you remember something. "Oh, Levi! Check out my schedule and who my English teacher is." Armin handed over the schedule.
Levi took it and scanned over the paper, finding the class. His eyes widened in disbelief at the name printed there:
Mr. Rivaille
"Oh fuck no!"
