Chapter 27

Levi was pissed beyond all reason. Why was his father teaching here?! Last time he checked that man was in Oregon with his new family, not wanting Levi.

So now Levi was marching down the hallway of the sophomore building, searching for the son of a bitch's classroom. He ignored the odd looks he got from the other students. It wasn't everyday you saw an angry "vertically challenged" junior storming down their hallways with murderous intent.

Now get him wrong. Levi really appreciated that fact that he could at least keep the family name, but when the asshole just shows up at his school with no warning shit will go down.

When he found the English classroom, which was oh so ironically by the ASL classroom, Levi wasted no time barging in.

"What. The. Fuck."

There standing right in front of him was a very shocked Logan Rivaille. Upon comparing the two there was a stunning resemblance. Between the same ink-black hair, stone-gray eyes, and sharp, defines facial and body features they looked almost twin-like. Except the height. While Levi stood at an astoundingly short height of five-foot-three, curtesy of his mother, his father was a little over six feet tall. That made no difference to Levi. The glare he can emit from his eyes was enough to make any person feel small.

"Why're you here!" Levi practically growled at him, slamming the door shut.

"Levi! I didn't know this was your school."

"Yeah and I didn't know that my fucking father would be teaching here! Last time I checked you were living out your damn life in Oregon with your perfect family."

"I moved." He said simply, as if it explained everything.

"No shit Sherlock. But you knew I lived in this city, or state for that matter. And last time I checked you said "I don't want anything to do with you anymore"." Levi remembered those words clear as day when they were said to him over Skype. That's also when he decided to flip his father a very angry bird. That was the last time they even talked and that was three years ago.

"I did that for your own good. My wife and I had a new baby and we didn't need anymore problems-"

"Problems? So I'm a problem to you? Because you turned me down I've been stuck with fucking Peter!"

"To be honest with you Levi, yes you are a problem. Look at you. You're snarky, ill-tempered, disrespectful, and foul-mouthed. Peter and I are still in contact and I've heard about you in California. I couldn't imagine having to raise you and two other kids."

"Care to insult me more? And I don't care about your reasons. You left me!" Pure rage burned through him. His father LEFT him. Threw him aside. Cast him into the shadows. And the man didn't even know how that fucked Levi up.

His father sat at his desk and sighed, resting his elbow on the wooden surfaces and rubbing his chin. "I had to make a choice Levi: you or my family."

That blow actually physically hurt Levi. "So I'm not family anymore?" He snorted. "Fuck you too." He turned abruptly on his heels and left the classroom, ignoring his father's calls after him. Levi made a quick escape out of the building and made it in front of the admin.

He leaned against the building's wall and sat on the ground. His father didn't want him. Peter didn't want him. Nobody fucking wanted him.

"Excuse me."

Levi was about ready to deck whoever it was when he saw it must be a receptionist. Still, decking her seemed like an option.

"What?" There was a bitter bite in his words that made her actually flinch.

"You can't be sitting out here like this. If you want you can come inside and sit on one of the couches instead. Much more comfortable." The words she said were like requests but her tone was an obvious order.

"Fine..." He stood up and walked in the building with her. She pointed over to a small waiting area with a few black couches that was across from the large desk with a couple more women behind it.

"Sit there." She studied my face. "You seem agitated. Do you want to see the guidance counselor?"

He seemed agitated? Normally his face was an unreadable mask. But she saw past it. "I'm fine." He bit back at her and sat on one of the couches.

"Suit yourself." She went back behind the desk and back to work.

It was official: Levi loathed this school with the fire of a thousand suns.
