There were many things that Jon noticed about school.
1. There was an abundance of bullying even with all the "WE DONT TOLERATE BULLYING" signs in the halls.
2. Teachers played favorites and they weren't hard to spot.
3. There were actually a surprising number of super hero teens who went to the school.
One of them being the Damian Wayne- aka Robin.
Damian was a good student. He did all of his homework, volunteered to do almost everything that was needed, and was INCREDIBLY snarky.
A lot of peers hated him.
They thought he was a snobby rich kid, a goody-two-shoes, etc.
Jon hadn't talked to him much. Only an occasional "hi" if they happened to bump into each other in school.
And the occasional grapple to the ankle and yank down to the ground so he could get ahead of him in a chase- though Jon didn't like to think of that often. Every time it happened it was always when he wasn't paying attention.
The thing was- Damian didn't really have many friends there in the first place. Actually, Jon didn't see him talk to ANYONE, besides his family members who would come pick him up.
The brown boy didn't seem to mind the negative attention from the students as he was perfectly aware he was better and smarter than them.
No one could've guessed what would happen in the near future.
Anyways.
Jon sighed heavily as the bell rang signaling the end of the day. Today he would be getting a chance to go on a mission with the bat family.
It was a rare team up but it was because both family had stakes in that particular problem.
The boy would've loved to get to know Damian more but- well, the boy didn't seem to like Jon for one, and for another- Batman was adamant about the supers staying away from the bats.
Though Jon was a bit insulted he guessed he understood.
He stood up from his desk and watched Damian adjusting the strap of his messenger bag before looking at the watch on the underside of his wrist.
"Ah- hey!"
Damian looked up and furrowed his brows, "what do you want, Kent?" Ooh. Hostile.
"I was thinking- since we're working together anyways,... did you want to walk together?" Jon asked curiously.
"No need, Alfred is waiting to pick me up, plus we live in entirely different directions," Damian commented before just walking out.
"Oof."
