Chapter 14

It's time for the part. The Christmas party that Dipper invited you. You were looking at your closet, "There is nothing to wear."

Usually you don't care what you look like but this was a fancy party and you don't want to make a fool of yourself. That would just be horrible.

There was a knock on your door. You look and saw your mother. You smiled, "Hey Mom."

"Hey, sweetie. This just came. It's for you." She came in with a box.

"Me? From who?"

"Doesn't say."

Then Mom smiled, "Is it from a boy?"

"Mom!"

Mom chuckled, "Just playing with you sweetie." Then she set the box down. That is when you notice this bruise on her arm. "Mom? Where did you get that bruise?"

Mom looked down at her arm, "Oh! I must have ran into the book shelf. You know how a cluz I am."

You hummed, "Yeah..."

"Anyways, do you want to open this up?"

"Sure."

Together you and your mother opened the box. Both of your eyes widen. "Oh honey!" Mom gasped out as you pulled out the amazing dress. It was a green dress with the white fluff of Christmas and a red ribbon was your waist will be. "It's beautiful!" Mom gasped out.

You couldn't believe your eyes either. It was quite beautiful and you never had this fancy of a dress. Mom reached in the box too see if there was anything else as you stared at the dress, eyes still widen and jaw dropped a little.

"There is a note." Mom announced. She opened up the small little note and read it out loud, "Here we go, sweetheart."

The shock of the dress just went away, when Mom read 'sweetheart'.

Dipper Gleeful.

"There is no name....and sweetheart?" Mom then gasped, "You have a boyfriend!"

"He's not my boyfriend." You growled.

"Oh? Then why does he call you sweetheart?"

"It's this nickname he calls me. It's nothing Mom." You tried to explain but your mother wasn't buying it, "Honey, when someone says 'sweetheart' that is a sign of something."

"Yes, yes, I know. He likes me."

Mom's eyes widen, "He likes you!"

"Yes but I don't like him back."

"Oh honey!" Mom cried out, "You are just lying to yourself! I could so tell that you like him too."

"I do not! He is a selfish spoiled little rich boy that is a huge jerk and care for nothing but himself. He's just doing this to please himself. That is it. He's just toying with me for his entertainment."

"A selfish spoiled little rich boy?"

"Yes! He's is a selfish spoiled little rich boy! He is used to getting all that he wanted and now...I'm going to make sure that he isn't going to get me."

"So he's rich..."

"Mom! It doesn't matter if he has money or not! I'm not interested in him!"

"Okay, okay." Mom replied. Then she gave a warm and gentle smile as she grabbed your hand, "It's whatever you think or do. I'm with you."

You smiled back, "Thank you Mom."

Suddenly Dad came in, "What's going on here?"

"Nothing dear. Just...talking about the party she is going to." Mom replied. She looked away from him, like advoiding his eye. You notice that something was in his coat pocket but couldn't tell what it was.

"You better get dress." Mom replied, "So you'll be there on time. Don't want your friends to wait too long now." Mom then got up and left the room, closing the door.

You realize that something was going on. Mom was advoiding your father and she's been acting strange. Dad been a little strange too...but Mom was right. You needed to get dress and get ready...for the death party.

Hardy and Pacifica so owe you for this!

You came down stairs and only your mother was there. She smiled, "Oh honey, you look so beautiful."

"Argh, that means I have to change." You faced back up the stairs.

"(Y/N)!"

You chuckled a little as you finish coming down the stairs, "But-"

"I don't care if that boy is going to fall in love with you as he sees you. I don't care what you think or he think. You got to impress people. It's a fancy Christmas party and I don't want you to look like a fool." Mom placed her hands on her hips.

You sigh, "Alright."

"But, it you happened to go under a misotoe..."

"Mom!" You snapped. That what happened last time and that is why you were in this mess.

Mom chuckled a little, "Oh alright." Then she pulled you a hug, "Have fun, honey."

"Is Dad coming down?" You asked, looking towards the stairs.

"No. He had a hard day at work...and so he's just went to bed early..." Mom then grabbed your shoulders, "But he hopes that you have a great time."

You smiled, "Alright." Then you kissed your mother's cheek and she kissed yours and you headed out.

Usually you can just walk to where ever you want. The town was small enough that you could just walk. This time the Gleeful Manor was more out of town and up on a hill and you were wearing a pretty dress. So you had to drive up there.

As you drove up to the small hill, the house was light like a Christmas tree. There were the Christmas lights hanging from the house and the house inside just light up. You found a place to park and headed pass the gates. The house was so fancy. High walls to keep people off of the property, big yards that was filled with: grass, bushes, flowers, water fountains, and trees, and about a four story house.

You were surprise how much space a small family needed. You went up to the front doors were a man was waiting, holding the door open. He looked familiar but you couldn't remember his name. It's been months since you were last here...after your accident with Joey.

You were next for this line.

"D-Do you have y-your invitation?" He stuttered.

Oh crap. You forgot yours at home. You didn't think that you have to bring it.

"I...um..." You couldn't find your words.

"She's with me."

You looked up and there was Dipper. He was dress in other clothes; it was actually a black nice suit with a Christmas broch. He looked....even more handsome than usual.

The man shakily nods his head, "Y-Yes M-Master."

Dipper grabbed your hand and pulled you into the house. "I knew you would have forgotten the invitation." Dipper comment.

"Well how was I-"

"Supposed to know? It is your first real fancy party." Dipper finished. You didn't say anything. Dipper hummed before saying something, "You look very nice."

"You picked the dress..."

"Yes but it fits you perfectly. It really highlights your curves."

Your cheeks got redden. "Uhhhh...."

Dipper smirked, "Speechless, sweetheart?"

"I....um..."

"Mr. Gleeful." An older couple came up. Dipper looked up and we stopped as the couple came up to us. "Look how much you've grown! Such a handsome young man you turned into." The older lady smiled as she reached out and pinched Dipper's cheek. Dipper seemed annoyed. He pushed the lady's hand away, "Yes, Yes, and because of that I'm not a child anymore...I won't be needing that."

The older lady chuckled, "Why of course."

"So who is this lovely girl?" The man asked.

Dipper smiled as he snake his hand around your waist, "My lovely date, (Y/N) (L/N)."

You gave a faint smile, still hoping that the red on your cheeks wasn't there.

"Where did you dugs this girl up, eh, boy? She's not any other girl..."

"She's not and that is just how I like her. All the fire and stubbornness is just perfect for my princess." He kissed the side of your head.

Chills ran through your spin. You promise your friends that you would give him a chance. You still don't like this whole thing, but you can't do anything about it. One, you were in front of other people and yelling or hitting him would just cause a scene that you don't want. Two, the promise. So you're stuck with the chills and gag.

The two older people eyed you weirdly.

"Now if you excuse me, Miss (L/N), owes me a dance." Dipper bowed his head as he pulled you towards the dance floor.

"I don't want to dance with you." You growled.

"Would you rather talk to those people or dance with me?" Dipper asked as he faced you.

"I got a feeling that you don't want to talk to them..."

"Would you?" Dipper asked as he warp his hand around your waste more and pulled you close to him, "Now you can tango but can you ball room dance?"

You smirked as you placed your hand on his solder and grabbed his hand, "I can do just that and more." Then you start to dance.

"Who are those people anyways?" You asked.

"Mr. and Mrs. Thomas. Co-workers of my fathers. Never been a fan of them. If you think I'm a snob, then you don't want to meet them."

"I don't think that you are a snob...just a cold hearted jerk."

He smirked, "Rather be called a cold hearted jerk than a snob."

"I wouldn't bet on it..."

"Well it's the cold hearted jerk that you fell for...so..."

"Fell for? On please...I haven't fallen for you at all."

Then he dipped you, "Then why did you come?"

"I-"

"Or wore the dress I gave you?"

"Because-"

"You have so fallen for me."

You glared at him as he pulled you back up, "I don't know why people are saying that. It was just a kiss, it was nothing! Doesn't mean that I liked you."

"Oh look who brought up the kiss." Dipper smirked, "I wasn't talking about the kiss..." Then he got close up to your face, "But since you brought it up..."

You shoved his face away from yours, "That is what started this! That dance...."

Dipper hummed, "Oh yes, the dance...but is that how it really started? Could it be the night that we meet?"

"I meet you before that night."

Dipper rolled his eyes, "We never really 'meet' before that night. That was just walking down the halls and seeing each other. That doesn't count. No, that night is when we first meet. I saved your life that night. Then you saved mine."

"I wanted to give ride of the blackmail you had on me..."

"I believe that is not all of the reasons...You did stripped me down..."

"To only keep you alive! You pervert."

"Shhh. People can hear you know?"

You looked around and could see that some people were watching. Your cheeks redden in embarrassment. You then faced back at Dipper, "I hate this...."

Dipper chuckled but he just lean in and kiss your forehead, "Don't worry, my princess..."

"Now you moved on with the nicknames?" You growled, trying to keep the urge to hit him down.

"Of course, my dear."

Finally the song ended and you pushed Dipper away from you, "I...uh...going to get a drink."

"I can get it-"

"I'm not useless, Gleeful." You then headed to the drinking area.

"Of course you're not, princess." You manage to hear him reply.

You then headed to the drinks, chugging down the cup of punch. You shivered as you set the cup down, "I can't do this...I can't do this....I'm sorry my friends but I can't do this. There are just these chills...he's such a creep....I can't do this anymore. Bug me all you want...I'm not doing this anymore. I can't...I don't like him at all and this is just getting out of hand."

Then you look towards the door way. There could be a chance for you to just escape. This had already gone too far. You thought that Dipper would just move on with this little crush but now he was falling more in love with you. You could tell...You didn't want this at all. You can't have this.

You then looked back and could see Dipper busy talking with someone. You could see that he glanced around. he was looking for you, hoping that you would return so he could get out of the conversation.

You took this chance to escape. You then headed to the door. Hoping that you could pass the servant by the door...almost there...suddenly a hand grabbed your arm. You yelped after being stopped, thinking it was Dipper.

Looking to see who grabbed you. It wasn't Dipper. It was a different man. He was older and his eyes were blood shot.

"You were just dancing with Young Gleeful weren't you?" He asked. You can smell the alcohol from his breath.

"Huh..."

He pulled you closer to him, "You were! Weren't you!"

"Yes! Yes! Okay! Just let me go!" You tried to get out of his tight grip.

"He think's your special....You'll do!"

"What?"

Then he jerk you closer to him, your back to him, and he wrap his arm wrap around you and he pulled out a knife and press it against your throat.

Mwahahahaahahah!
