So my friend _panic_at_the_party_ an I were listening to the bluecoats 2016 show Down Side Up in the locker room. I hear one of the girls say something about 'gladiator music' and I let it slide bc I didn't want any crap going down. So as he's walking out, this girl is walking out and says
Have fun fighting that lion or whatever.
And I just sit there wondering to myself how people are so closed-minded. I also didn't appreciate the comment and wished she would've said to just turn it off instead of saying something like that. So I go back to the gym and say-very politely mind you-
I'm sorry, but I don't appreciate you stereotyping me and my music, so I would appreciate it if you stopped. It is not gladiator music and I'm just listening to music I like. Yes, I heard every word you said.
Her eyes go wide and she covers her mouth and she says
Oh no. Maybe because I was talking to you!!!

I almost cussed this chick out.

I started to say something again and one of her clique goes
Why does it matter? We're in high school.
The girl says I'm sorry I was voicing my opinion, which is a thing I can do so if you have a problem with it I'm sorry.
She starts to go on but I say Yes, I'm just voicing mine. (And Hun, that wasn't an opinion that was being stereotypical and not caring about others)
And I left bc if I had stayed I would've punched her.

So there's my story for the day. The moral is don't mess with band kids. And don't be stereotypical. So thanks guys.
