How About No?
This is something I'm noticing, and being bothered by.
I was going through and re-reading my work on Through My Window. This pops up for me almost all the time.
"Recommended for you: Lots of Marrison shipping stuff."
Someone even added the story to a Marrison reading list.
HOW ABOUT NO.
Please don't misunderstand me here. Mairin and Alain are one of the best pairings I've ever seen in a TV show. Mabel and Dipper Pines are probably the only pair I've seen beat them.
BUT THEY ARE NOT MEANT TO BE SHIPPED.
Just, why?
Honestly?
The two are friends, yes.
But would you ship Bonnie and Ash or something?
Because that's how I think Alain and Mairin are meant to be portrayed.
Mairin is supposed to be the annoying little sister who wants to do everything her big brother does, yet Alain is like the big brother who doesn't want to let his sister in on how he feels. Like that he should be a role model for her.
That, I think, is MUCH more accurate than Marrison.
Also, they are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AGES.
Common sense people!
Long story short: Alain and Mairin. A great pairing. There is some special relation between the two.
Romance?
Soulmates?
NEVER.
I rest my case. *Slams gavel down and flips hair as leaves the scene*
