Fandoms
Fandoms are weird.
PJO/HOO: We ship a character with a brick.
YJ: We ship a hat with the floor. (And a character with paper. And a character with puberty. And the same hat with the character that wore it. Just look up reasons to ship YJ, you [probably] won't regret it.)
Grayson/Nightwing: His fricking individual butt cheeks literally have canonical names.
Not to mention the entire premise of 'fandoms.' We're literally squealing over fictional characters in fictional scenarios that are likely never going to actually happen. And often have creepy, usually angsty or sexual fantasies about them, and sometimes post those fantasies online for the world to see. If you think about it, we're creeps and stalkers. We know our favorite characters' deepest, darkest secrets, and we just toss them around like airplanes. And we change those characters into whatever suits our strange, imaginative needs.
On another, totally unrelated note, I'm rereading Nightwing comics at present, and every time I see him, I think Omigosh friggin Nightwing it's friggin Nightwing he's so friggin hot Nightwing is bae friggin Nightwing he's soflippinfijnSCDOANqiYedhbiaGrwuboIciywarGboucgaVwodyEcdwunx
And whenever the plot remotely diverts from him I think Oh no you don't you frigging bleck who needs to get their priorities straight give me bae or face the consequences of NOT GIVING ME MY FDJDFHsKAOSHAJFNKZEHRICIRSJSJ BAE.
