CHAPTER 8 - A fight with a grass shinobi

A big gust of wind came blowing, Sakura and sasuke couldn't see anything, not even their other teammate Naruto being blown away.

Once the wind went down and they could finally see, sasuke looked around to see who did that wind attack. But as he was looking he couldn't see anyone yet. he turned to see if sakura and Naruto where ok, but all he could see was Sakura. 'where did Naruto go, sasuke thought.

"Where's naruto, Sakura?" Sasuke asks

"I don't know, when I opened my eyes he was gone" Sakura says

'Great, he must've gotten blown away just now, what a loser'

"Kekeke, now that one of them is gone, I can have my fun" a dark figure appeared behind the trees, wearing a grass nin headband.

"Who are you?" Sasuke turns to look, where he heard the voice

"Yeah and what have you done with naruto" Sakura shouts

"Don't worry, he's probably having fun with my little pet or the other way around, kekeke" said the grass nin.

"What do you been, where is he" Sakura shouts, her voice a bit shakily.

"You shouldn't worry about that brat, you should worry about yourself" and with that said, the grass nin took his earth scroll and ate it in one gulp by stretching his jaw & using chakra to seal it away with so many other things. "I see by your reaction that you would love to get your hands on my earth scroll. I bet it would go nicely with your heaven scroll." he finished with a sinister smile.

That's when it hit them a dark malevolent presence seeming to draw the life right out of them. "well, when this is all over one of us will have both scrolls..." Sasuke and Sakura couldn't even move they both felt if they twitched the wrong way this Grass ninja would kill them without a sweat. "and the other.. will be dead" the grass ninja said in the sickly sweet tone of the grass genin.

"Who... are... you, no genin... could be... this strong" sasuke managed to say in long breaths

"Don't worry you'll find out soon or later" said the grass ninja, doing a few hand signs.

It turns out it was a genjutsu that the grass nin did. they both started seeing things, terrible things, they were frozen in fear. sasuke realised that it was nothing but an illusion but he was still frozen with fear, so to over come it he stabbed himself, which seemed to work, he was free again. once the genjutsu was lifted and struggled to fix his thoughts in proper order he finally managed to kneel down and spew his lunch all over the ground in front of him.

Sakura was in a state of shock, she could even move.

" I expected you to be more of a challenge how disappointing." With that oorochimaru launched the two kunai at Sasuke and Sakura killing intent reaching an apex.

They could barely breath let alone move from this strong killing intent but they had to or else they would be dead once the two kunai came. looking at Sakura you could differently tell she couldn't move, as well as sasuke but he had to try otherwise they both would be dead, so he used all his strength and will power to move, which it worked.

Now out of breath the grass nin seized this opportunity and flash stepped behind Sasuke, biting his neck, sasuke screamed in pain.

"This is my parting gift, it will give you power but come find me if you want to know how to control it" and with that he left the two genin by them selfs and soon after met up with an old companion, anko.

Sakura had managed to get an unconscious sasuke, far away from the place where they fought that creepy grass nin. now she was under a huge tree.

'Where are you Naruto, you really have a terrible time to disappear like that' Sakura thought to herself, while she placed a wet cloth on sasuke's forehead.

After that she set a few traps but they didn't seem to work when sound shinobi came to fight the uchiha. Sakura fought the best she could but she wasn't good enough, when she thought it was the end, she saw rock lee come out of the forest and fought the sound shinobi, he was doing good but after a while the fight turned against him, he was losing and that's when lee's teammates and the Ino-shika-cho team came and they fought but as they were fighting they all felt an evil presence, they turned and where surprised to see sasuke their with these weird markings on him. He managed to brake the arms on this one Sound nin, after that they ran away, not wanting to fight him. Sakura hugged sasuke from behind, wanting to turn him back to normal and not that blood thirsty killer, which lucky for them he reverted back to normal.

"Thanks so much for saving us" Sakura thanks them

"Yeah it fine don't worry about, it was nothing" ino says

"Really, if I remember correctly, you were hiding in the bushes for a long time deciding if you wanted to help" shikamaru said, raising an eye brow

"What are you talking about, you know I would have helped anyway" ino says nervously.

"Well anyway thanks" Sakura says again " is lee going to be ok"

"Yeah he should be fine but his hearing may not work for a while" neji says examining lee

"Yeah lee can be pretty strong, he will be up before you know it" tenten says

"I'm glad" Sakura says, wiping away the tears in her eyes

"Well that aside, where's Naruto" shikamaru says, wondering where he is.

"Yeah, now that you mention it, I haven't seen him since we entered this place" choji says, opening another bag of chips and eating them.

Everyone turns and looks at Sakura and sasuke. sasuke who is now standing behind Sakura, looking a bit confused as in wants going on right now.

"Umm... well there was this grass nin who came and fought us only he was much more stronger then all of us, well anyway he made this huge gust of wind, we could see anything, when we were finally were able to open our eyes Naruto was gone, we haven't seen him since, right sasuke" sakura turns to sasuke and he nods a yes.

"I hope he's ok" Sakura looks down

"I'm sure he's fine, he never gives up" choji says, munching on his chips

"Choji's right, I'm sure he's fine and just looking for you guys, we should go too" shikamaru says, while turning around, leaving

"Your right, lets go choji" ino says

They left, now one other team remaining.

"We should go back to, considering we are enemies in this test" neji says helping an almost conscious lee up and leaving with tenten who was on the other side

"If we see Naruto anywhere, we will tell him you guys where in this direction" tenten shouts back, leaving back into the forest

"Well should we go look for naruto" sakura asks

"That dobe is most likely going to the tower, knowing we will go there" sasuke says

"Your so smart sasuke" says a happy sakura "come on let's go"

"Hn" was all sasuke said.

After that they managed getting both the scrolls and was walking towards the tower, when they ran into kabuto after that they were In a genjutsu but they managed to beat the rain ninjas and was making their way to the tower. It took a few day but They finally got to the tower after but They still couldn't find Naruto. but since they were there they went in, Sakura read what was in the wall and both of them opened the scrolls. there was a poof of smoke and Their stood iruka.
