it didn't shock chenle much as he was being taken to school with a car personally owned by that prestigious institution. although, chenle did miss feeling spoiled for once. he missed it but he was glad that he got to be independent the moment he ran away from home.

with his eyes staring outside of the window, his mouth went agape when the campus came in sight. he had seen pictures of how it would look but he didn't actually think it would be this big. the next moment, chenle was going to find out that their campus has a garden somewhere. the chinese then shook his head, not wanting to look like an idiot in front of the driver.

❝is this going to be your first year?❞ the man in front that was driving asked, glancing by the rear view mirror for a short second before having his eyes back on the road.

chenle opened his mouth and was about to say something but then gulped down his words when he had caught a scent of an alpha. he just then realized that he was inside a car alone with an alpha. he was too focused on his phone and probably would look outside to be familiar with the surroundings from time to time to even notice it.

composing himself down, chenle managed to pull off a small smile. ❝it is.❞

the man then let out a chuckle. ❝i hope you'll enjoy it here, sir..❞

❝chenle will do.❞ the boy said as he asked the driver to just call him by his name.

not wanting to bother the male any further, the alpha just nodded his head and continued to drive that made chenle furrow his brows once they passed by the campus that's surprisingly already filled with students. the car then made a turn and chenle saw a building that made him gasp silently in awe, eyeing that building from the top down to its entrance.

❝this will be your dorm, chenle.❞ the driver had said. ❝would you prefer to have a tour around the campus first?❞

it then snapped chenle back from his thoughts once he had realized something, ❝i haven't gotten my keys yet and also the number to my room.❞

❝that won't be a problem. i'll first leave your things by the desk and then i'll drive you back to the campus.❞ the man passed chenle a polite smile before going out of the car and walking around to the trunk to get the student's suitcase and bags.

chenle sat there quietly as he followed his eyes to the alpha that got inside the building with his bags and suitcase with him. he then pressed his lips into a thin line before leaning his back on his seat. he heaved a relieving sigh and waited patiently for the man to come back.

but a certain observation made the omega have the corner of his lips curved up. ❝he seemed nice.❞ he hoped that everyone here are also as nice as him.

then again, he wasn't there to make friends. he just had to survive the college years and graduate with flying colors. after that, he'd be able to find himself a stable job. he'd start off small but he knowing that he'd have a good title coming from this school, he'd probably get into a high position in his first job. chenle couldn't help but be excited for his future. he actually had come this far without having his family to help him and control him from everything he does.

chenle's eyes opened once he heard the car door opening and he earned an amusing chuckle from the man.

❝i'm sorry, did i wake you up?❞

shaking his head, chene reassure him with a smile. ❝you didn't.❞

silence then took over them as the car started to move. chenle only had his eyes outside as he could see couple of students walking around and some were sitting at the benches being provided and chatted. it actually made chenle frown. he knew his main purpose was to graduate but he actually wanted to make a friend, at least just one. he didn't want to look lonely walking around the campus without anyone to talk to.

as his thoughts were piled up, they had finally reached the campus in just a blink of an eye. as chenle was about to opened the door, the man at the driver's seat spoke.

❝would you want me to accompany you, chenle?❞

god, chenle did wish that everyone would be this nice around here. but then, he knew it would be impossible. this place is packed with alphas and he knew it was rare to find one that's actually nice. not wanting to burden him, ❝it's okay, you can just wait here for me.❞ he told him.

actually, it wasn't okay. the moment he got out of the car, he was met with a parking lot filled with different kind of car. expensive ones if you ask chenle. not only that, he was lost and he didn't know where to go first. he didn't want to look obvious and worry the man inside the car that brought him to school so he started to walk away to a direction that seemed like a way to the front of the campus.

his hands were sweating as he took doubtful steps. he then made a turn and failed to see someone also walking towards his way.

causing for the two to bump.

❝i'm sorry—❞

chenle shut his eyes tight as he waited to have his back meet the hard rock ground but instead, he could feel an arm being wrapped around his waist tightly to hold him up. peeking as to who he bumped, chenle opened one eye and he could have sworn he met an angel that came from heaven.

❝i was busy reading this manual book given to me.❞ the other said with a chuckle, still holding chenle with one arm. ❝sorry, i didn't get to see you.❞

the omega's brows furrowed as he found the person he bumped suspicious. sniffing in a subtle way, he was confused as to how this person didn't smell like any other alpha he had met. aside from that, his figure didn't call out being an alpha. but then, he caught him with one arm so chenle shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

❝are you perhaps new here?❞ the person asked, letting chenle go as he noticed him looking uncomfortable.

nodding his head slightly, chenle still stared at him. ❝i'm actually finding my way towards the chairman's office.❞

the person showed an excited smile, ❝i just came from there! getting your dorm keys?❞ he questioned, tilting his head to the side.

deep inside him, chenle was relieved that this person looked nice enough that could bring him towards there. ❝yeah, would you mind showing me where?❞

❝not at all! oh, and by the way..❞ the person held out his hand and wanted to initiate a handshake. ❝i'm xiao de jun, you can call me xiaojun if you want.❞

he looked like he could do no harm, maybe chenle can actually consider him as a friend. or an acquaintance, since they just met. ❝chenle, zhong chenle.❞ he then held out his hand and took the male's hand for a handshake.

❝chenle?❞ xiaojun let out a giggle. ❝you're quite cute.❞

that made the omega's face heat up, retrieving his hand quickly after the handshake. ❝t-thank you.❞

❝please don't put any meaning to it,❞ xiaojun grabbed the male's hand and dragged him along to where he was supposed to be headed to. chuckling when he saw him turn red. ❝i already have a boyfriend.❞

that made chenle shut his mouth up before letting out an expression, ❝oh.❞ not expecting hear that all of a sudden. well, what was he expecting? he looked like an angel, it's impossible if no one had tried hitting on him.

xiaojun only laughed before pulling chenle a little bit too harsh, ❝let's go!❞

after having a discussion with the chairman, jisung got out of the room and finally had fresh air to breath. he felt like he was being suffocated inside there. he had to actually sit there for full thirty minutes, which felt like a whole century for him, just to listen to the rules and regulations that he had been hearing over and over again for the past two years. it's like hearing jaemin remind him always not to drink because he was still a baby, even if he isn't anymore. well, the chairman is jaemin's father so jisung could guess where jaemin got that nagging attitude of his.

at least he finally got his dorm keys, that was his purpose being there.

he went separate ways with both jaemin and jeno since jaemin had to first rush to the gym and check if everything was in order for the entrance ceremony and jeno just simply wanted to be with his boyfriend. he had no idea where they are right now but he's just glad that he won't be seeing them make out out of no where.

"xiao, is this the way?"

"the way to your heart?"

rolling his eyes, jisung started to walk to the opposite direction once he heard students flirting from the other side. he didn't bother to look back and continued to drag his lazy feet out of the building and just go back to the dorms. he still left his bags at the front desk and he knew that if he doesn't hurry and settle his things inside his assigned room, he's going to miss the entrance ceremony.

he wouldn't mind that at all, but jaemin would. he'd receive another earful of nagging coming from him if he misses the ceremony.

❝why am i even scared of him?❞ jisung squinted his eyes as he wanted to squeeze his brain to find out the answers.

he's a pure alpha for god's sake, he can dominate jaemin any time. okay, not in a sexual way, jeno would dislocate his limbs if that's the case. just having the thought of jeno slowly killing him just made him shiver in fear. but as he was saying, he shouldn't be scared of jaemin scolding him at all. jeno is on another page. he, too, was a pure alpha like him so jisung can't do shit to him unless he'd want to die at an early age.

but even with jeno being a pure alpha, jisung envied at how his parents doesn't force him in to anything. they don't pressure him to do well, he us just naturally good at everything. and best of all, they don't really mind if jeno would have an omega lover. that boy is just lucky to have met an alpha along the way, and that would be jaemin.

and being clouded with his thoughts all about how he should learn how to be proud of where he stands, he didn't even realize that he had already reached to the dorms. the familiar looking building made jisung groaned in annoyance for the nth time of the day as he is now thinking of possibilities as to who his roommate is.

❝park jisung.❞ the alpha immediately said once he had entered the lobby and made his way to the front desk to get his bags.

a lot of the students were still hanging out there instead of making their way towards the gym. what annoyed jisung were the eyes he's receiving coming from the female alphas being there. he didn't want to acknowledge the fact that he gained popularity within two years. he has been with jaemin and jeno all the time, the two's name would be heard everywhere. not to mention that jaemin is the son of the chairman of the school, of course he'd be known inside the campus.

jisung quickly took his bags and took a polite bow. ❝thank you.❞

but before he left, he saw a black bag that had a familiar keychain on it that caught his attention. snapping himself back to his thoughts, he shook his head and just gave the woman behind the desk a small smile. he then left there and didn't bother wasting another second to jump inside the elevator, taking the chance of it being empty.

❝wait—❞

he heard a shriek coming from the outside but before he could take a look as to who owned that high pitched scream, the door closed.

strange, that voice sounded familiar.

the alpha just then shrugged it off and pulled his phone out from his pocket while twirling his dorm key from his other finger. it didn't take him a minute till he had reached to a specific floor and when the elevator doors were opened, jisung strode his way down the hallways, putting his phone back inside his pocket.

❝one two six, one two seven,❞ jisung stopped right in front of a specific door as he read the dorm number carved in a silver plate that's placed on top of the door. ❝one two eight.❞

at this moment, he didn't try to guess who his roommate is. he just wanted to throw his bags down and just take a short nap. he was still tired from the hangout last night with jeno.

twisting the door knob, jisung's forehead creased as the door was unlocked meaning he didn't have to use the key he had. maybe his roommate was already inside? shrugging his shoulders, jisung slowly opened the door and immediately froze there.

he couldn't believe what he was seeing right now.
