❝mom,❞ chenle cuts the woman off from the other line who's rambling about things he should bring and what not to forget to put inside his bag as they were now on their way on their three-day vacation at a resort whom he's quite familiar already. ❝i brought everything.❞

"you sure? how about snacks? i hope you brought your favorite snacks with you. i know how hungry you can get during the ride. did you forget? do you want us to catch up with the van and bring you your favorite—"

the omega let out a stressful sigh that caused for the woman to pause from speaking. chenle rolled his eyes, not knowing what to feel about how his mother is making this vacation perfect for him. his father isn't anything less than how his mother is acting. in fact, his father almost even hired bodyguards to watch over them, which the son refused immediately. their intentions were good but his parents surely are having a hard time trying to adjust to the change.

he didn't know whether to appreciate their efforts or not. they still have done so much to ruin his life and he can never forget that, the scar has already been made. but then, it's still his parents, they still raised him despite of not doing a great job at it.

❝i'm fine, jisung placed them inside the bag before i even thought about it.❞ he replied after seconds of staying silent.

but chenle didn't pay attention to the emotions she showed at the call, the way she pronounced his lover's name caught his attention more. ❝mom, it's jisung. ji sung, not cheesesung.❞

the son may not see it but the mother from the other line flinched at how stern the young omega's voice is. usually, she'd lash out on him for using that tone on her but now that she had her eyes opened to another light, she can't help but be scared that maybe she angered or annoyed her son.

"c-cheesesung." she repeated, still failing to say the pure blooded's name.

holding back from raising his voice at her, chenle shut his eyes tight and decided to just give in. arguing with his mother at this lovely vacation wouldn't be a great thing to start the day with. ❝bye, i'll end the call now.❞

"w-wait! your dad says hi. take care, a-alright?" the son stayed quiet as he listened to what his mother wanted to say. "call us when you get there. i l-love you."

❝hm..❞ he hummed, not really sure whether to also say back the same words she had said to him. he was about to say his last goodbyes but a poke from his arm made the omega turn to the side, only to see the pure blooded pointing at himself while mouthing some words. that made him chuckle, finding him adorable, but his expression soon changed when he went back to talking to his mother on the phone. ❝jisung says hi too.❞

it didn't take chenle another second to finally end the call he had with his mother for the past few minutes.

❝wah,❞ the tanned male, that's seated from the opposite side of the couple, then shoved some chips inside his mouth as he went to comment his friend's attitude towards his mother. ❝never knew you'd ever talk that way to her.❞

❝i'm still mad.❞ but unlike before, he slowly is trying to like the change even though his parents is obviously struggling to adjust.

renjun, who's being squeezed by two alphas behind, then peeked his head up from the backrest. ❝but they're still your parents.❞

that remark made both donghyuck and chenle roll their eyes. and there, they actually thought that it would be the smaller omega who's supposed to have more braincells than the two of them.

❝well, at least they got to offer their beach house for us to stay in.❞ renjun mumbled, folding his arms across his chest and earned a coo coming from the two sitting beside him.

the van stopped in front of a familiar house and the door swung open, revealing an omega that had his brows furrowed and lazy eyes staring at them. donghyuck was about to greet their friend that they came to fetch but the two from behind him already beat him to it.

a bag being placed down to the space beside him startled donghyuck, making him almost drop the bag of chips he's holding. hissing, he glared at the two that's settled behind him.

❝but,❞ as much as he wanted to be with the two, he actually pitied the tanned male that's sitting alone. turning his head to donghyuck, the omega only motioned his hand and shooed him away. although, the tanned male already reassured yangyang that he'll be alright. getting tired of bending at a tight and small space, the omega heaved out a sigh, ❝alright.❞ before making his way to the two who then snuggled close to him as soon as he seated himself down.

even though donghyuck felt like his friends were being taken away by their own partner, or partners, he managed to keep the complains all by himself. it's not like he also hasn't done it before when he and mark were still together— stiffening at the thought, the tanned male started shaking his head to forget about it.

checking his phone that keeps on ringing, chenle came to a decision to shut it off since his parents would never stop sending him messages about how he should take good care of himself and that they hoped they'd enjoy their stay at the beach resort.

and now that they are back together, relationship stronger than ever, he can't help but appreciate how jisung is still with him despite of everything.

❝chenle is crying?❞ renjun stood up from being squished by his two boyfriends and was about to fight the young pure blooded for making his friend cry but he was being pulled back down by the two.

❝sit down, little spoon.❞ jeno said, holding him his small waist.

meanwhile, jaemin giggled while burying his head down to the omega's shoulder. ❝it's their talk, let's not meddle with it.❞

jisung stifled a laugh as he saw donghyuck sulking from his place, feeling bad a bit as he couldn't do anything with his situation, before putting his attention back to chenle beside him that's still sniffling. he had a small smile plastered on his face as he continued to wipe his tears using his thumb until there's nothing left aside from his eyes still red from crying.

it was as if just a moment ago they were blasting to some loud gaycity music and now that those sentimental songs came up, the van became silent. sound of light snores and cracking of chips were heard. donghyuck was still wide awake and checking his eyes at everyone, he scoffed at how they were clinging to their own partner(s).

the beach house available for them actually has three large room with bathrooms available for each. the room can accommodate four to five people with two king sized beds available and since everyone already knows who they'd want to share a room with, it was up to donghyuck to choose as to which couple he'd end up sharing. at first he wanted to stay on the sofa but chenle insisted to share a room with them. the tanned male didn't want to go in between their relationship since he knew that they were still coping up with things, thus leaving him to his next choice which is renjun's room that he's sharing with jeno and jaemin.

he wanted to go with yangyang but he heard gossips about how wild xiaojun and hendery can be and he didn't want to witness that. he didn't know that both jeno and jaemin are equally the same.

❝come on, i heard they are playing beach volleyball.❞ the omega had excited steps as he made his way towards the door.
