"RUBY WAS WHAT!" Robotnik yelled at Louis, who was in shock.
"D-dad," Louis stuttered "can you calm down, I'll send a few of our toughest animals to search for her, ok? Please don't kill me."

Robotnik's rage soon starts to subside, "Ok, James, but if you don't start recruiting, then I'll take away your lab privileges." Robotnik lectured.

"Yes dad." Louis replied.

Nero and Cody watched the whole conversation, their blood turns into ice and their hearts sank. They've witnessed the kidnapping, but didn't want to go out and search for her.

Meanwhile at the place where Robotnik's animals hang out...

Nero's POV

I lay down on the huge king sized mattress in the hang out with Cody. My heart was pounding faster than light and I was immobile, like a statue.

Asgore came up to me, "Hey Nero, what's up, and why the shocked look?", he said.

He jumps onto the mattress beside me and Cody. "Did you hear about what happened to Robotnik's human cub, Ruby?" I asked.

"I do, Cody told me all about it.", he replied.

I gave Cody a death stare, "It was supposed to be a secret." I growled, Cody shrugs.

My legs felt like spaghetti noodles as I stood up near the gong used by us for announcements in the hangout. I gulped nervously and kicked the gong with my hind legs. The loud chitchat of all the animals in the cave soon quieted down and all the attention was towards me.

"I...I...h...have...", I stuttered.

"Could you spit it out already!" Duchess yelled.

"I have an important announcement," I said, "Robotnik's human cub, 'Ruby', was kidnapped and our master, Louis, is gonna recruit some of us to go rescue her, do I have any volunteers?"

There is nothing but silence.

~a few hours later~

"But, what would the wild have to offer us?" Trent asked.

"Hmm, lets see...", Cody said "diseases and wild animals that'll rip you to shreds."

"Thank you, Cody." Trent replied.

I looked at them, "guys, I think we have the vaccines for those diseases." I said, "anyways shouldn't we get recruiting."

"I'll go grab the foxes, and all the other dogs, and some of the big cats." Cody said.

A huge stream of relief escapes my body, I'm gonna be going on a journey without being lonely. I was excited.
