Never Go Back

Read only if you want to understand what's sorta going on in my NaNoWriMo book. This word count will be nothing once I complete Two Worlds Collide. Also, I wrote this a while ago. It's not my worst writing, but it's BAD.

"Seirra, where are you?" The mean Mistress, Ms. Sharp called. The girl she was talking too happened to be working on a book called, The World We Do Not Know About. Lilly, the shy friend of the girl quietly spoke, "Mistress Sharp wants you Sierra." The light skinned brown haired orphan girl, Seirra snapped out of her thoughts and hid the book she had been working on. She called back, “Coming Mistress Sharp!" And in a hurry ran down the stairs and shouted, "Here I am!" "Never mind, you can go to back to your room!" Mistress Sharp told the creative girl. Seirra climbed back up the stairs to all the orphan's room, then Mistress Sharp called after her "And don't come down till I tell you."

I can’t seem to do anything right! The thirteen year old thought sadly as she started to cry. “Stop your waterworks,” said the bully of the orphanage, Kathreen. “Please, just go away.” Seirra spoke numbly. “Yes leave her alone.” The sad orphan jumped up, startled, and a smile crept slowly back onto her face, replacing the rainy day frown. “Kaden! You didn’t have to stand up for me you know.” “Yes, but was I about to let you two start another fight?” the brown haired boy chuckled. “Well I think you might have kept quiet.” Kathreen stamped her foot as a cloud of anger followed her out the door. “Don’t listen to her.” Kaden said, then stalked away leaving Seirra alone once more.  Well I can handle being alone for a while. She closed her eyes, but when she opened them she gasped. She was in Kascia from her book, The World We Do Not Know About.

The stars in the sky shimmered and danced at Seirra’s arrival. A magnificent horse padded up to the girl, her mane and tail, sparkled teal in the starlight, while her body shone a midnight purple. “My name is Stargazer.” The horse spoke. Spoke! But horses don’t speak! Oh, in my book they do! “Hi Stargazer, my name is Sierra!” The horse snorted, amused. “We know who you are. You created this place. All us animals, well the good ones at least, thank you.” The mighty horse bowed.

“So…” Seirra trailed off, uncertain what to say.

“We need your help girl.” Stargazer snorted.

“Why Stargazer?”

“Asadior.”

“Now come, to my hut to sleep.” Stargazer trotted away with Seirra tagging along. When the horse and girl were snuggled in, Stargazer’s eye caught something shiny on Seirra’s wrist. “What is that?” Stargazer asked. “Oh my locket, it has a picture of my parents before the cliff.” Seirra paused.

“What happened child?” Stargazer gently asked.

“Well we were on a hike one day and I slipped off the edge of a cliff. My Father grabbed me and pulled me up. And once he made sure I was safe, the cliff crumbled sweeping my Mother and Father with it.” Tears were streaming down Seirra’s eyes as she finished. “Oh how I miss them.” She cried herself to sleep, nestled into Stargazer’s back.

Seirra woke up with a start. Where am I?  She thought, then remembered, Oh right I’m in Kascia. “Rise and shine Seirra the sleepyhead.” Stargazer spoke amused. “So about this Asadior…Who is he?” Seirra asked randomly.

“He’s the king of evil that’s who he is.” Stargazer looked ashamed.

“What is it Stargazer?”

“You’ll find out soon enough. Now let’s try to find that King.”

“Wait he’s a king?” Seirra spoke puzzled.

“Well he claimed the throne now that Queen Libbi died.”

“Oh that’s terrible.”

“Yes it is.” And with that they walked farther and farther away until they were tiny dots walking into the horizon.

As they were walking the girl and horse stopped to a halt as a white tiger leapt out of the bushes and dug its claws into the ground, as it skidded to a stop right in front of them. “Who’s this? Stargazer? This can’t be the child!”

“Yes, this is Seirra, Shade.”

“Fine.” Shade rumbled as he sliced open an invisible shield of some sort and stepped inside, Stargazer followed the tiger. “No I won’t go in there!”

“It’s ok, child, Seirra.” The beautiful horse corrected herself.

“Get on with it.” The grumpy tiger spoke, his voice shaking the girl. “Ok if you say so.” Seirra’s voice shook. As she stepped into the shield, Seirra felt a cool breeze lift her long brown hair and place it gently back onto her shoulders. The field inside looked alive as the breeze blew flowers that looked like morning glories. Seirra gasped, “Shundeays!” The word escaped her mouth as she flung herself into the beautiful flowers!

“Yes, now um, Seirra, step into this ring of water.” The tiger spoke as he revealed the ring. When Seirra stepped into the water, it surged up and around her but what was odd is that she could breathe, she was stunned. Wow! Some of this stuff is not in my book at all!  She was still, then she felt Stargazer pressed up against her. Stargazer’s flank moved up and down as she inhaled and exhaled, then Stargazer’s flank fell still and they were in a different place. Jagged peaks rose up around the girl and horse. “Where are we Stargazer?”

“Sapirena Peaks.” Was all she mumbled.

Seirra tripped on a jutted rock and crashed to the ground. “Child! No!” the startled horse broke into a run leaving Seirra behind. Seirra looked up to see Shade. “Shade! Help me!”

The tiger tilted his head one side to the other, “Shade? That fool. No, I’m General Marca!” the tiger swished his tail. “Grab her, Crait, Dyn.” Shadows emerged on either side and lifted her off of the ground.

Seirra woke, sore, scared and bound. “Untie me now!” Seirra’s feeble voice reached the head tiger. “You’re a fighter aren’t you?” Marca rumbled with laughter. Two more tigers strolled up beside their leader, one black with sky blue stripes, and the other was orange with black stripes. “I’m Crait.” The orange tiger spoke.

“I’m Dyn and that’s my brother.” The beautiful tiger waved her tail at Crait.

“Why am I here?” Seirra asked dazed.

“Asadior wants to see you.” Marca said, his deep voice commanding.

It was close to sunset now, and the midnight colored horse was still running. Stargazer halted and turned around. She hung her head. Now I’ve betrayed two of my friends. She stopped thinking and   shifted her body back to the direction of the sun, and ran, ran faster than any horse had ran in that world. If I want a true friend then I’m going to try my hardest to get her back. Even if it means giving up my own life. The determined horse was running straight to the battle station.

Night was rising and the two moons were shining ever so bright as the hopeless girl looked up upon them. I wish I hadn’t come here. But if I hadn’t then I wouldn’t have met Stargazer. Marca stared coldly at the girl in the night, his green eyes, like chips of ice. Stargazer ran away, but she was still a good friend. Seirra thought and then she saw Dyn stir. Something about the way that tiger acted made Seirra know she might have a way to escape.

Stargazer was trotting and panting as she neared her friend’s hut, Kuma’s hut.

“Oh, hello Star!” Kuma said as he picked up a vegetable and tossed it into a basket.

“Seirra she was captured. By General Marca.”

“That brute, I’ll send troops and join the battle myself!” Kuma yelled in anger.

“So you’ll help me then?” Stargazer asked.

“Yes, Star, Yes.”

Dyn stood up. “I know that I’m not you, Marca, but what if you and Crait go and get reinforcements.”

“Why is that?” Marca spoke as he stretched his legs.

“Well if Seirra is this important then what if Kuma attacks?”

“Kuma, my greatest enemy.” Growled Marca, “How would he find out?”

“Stargazer, I saw her run away.”

“Crait, with me, now!” the two powerful tigers dashed out of the makeshift camp.

Stargazer was running, running again. This time not alone, but with hundreds of animals, from her own kind, horses, to tiny mice, all wanting to destroy the kingdom and the evil that lied within it. We can win this battle! Stargazer’s heart seared with joy and hope. Kuma was riding on her back as she ran. He leaned against Stargazer’s neck and encouraged her saying “You are a good friend and fighter.”

“Wake up girl.” Said the tiger shaking the girl. Seirra blinked and looked up, Dyn was standing over her.

“Oh sorry!” Seirra sat up surprised to be unbound “What?”

“Climb onto my back then climb up the tree. Seirra obeyed and she obeyed just in time.

The sharpness of the night hid the running animals. “Halt now.” Stargazer spoke to Kuma, “This is where she was captured.”

“Boah, try to sniff out Marca and Crait.” Kuma beckoned a wolf.

“Dyn was with them.” Stargazer spoke softly.

Dyn was hidden in the tree along with Seirra. A tall horse came trotting in with Marca and Crait following. The horse had a rider on him, a tall man with a black suit and a red cape over his shoulders, and his head was covered with a hood. The cape was torn so bad Seirra could just imagen all the battles the person had been in.

“You said the girl and Dyn were here!” The man’s voice thundered. Marca bowed, but responded angrily “They were, my lord.”

Then a horse came charging out of the trees, charging up to the competitor, the man in the red cape met the other horse and rider eye to eye. Both horses and masters reared up, and in that moment it seemed magical to Seirra. Then the horse who had just came out jumped, Seirra gasped. “STARGAZER!” Seirra shouted.

“Quiet!” Dyn spoke “You have this stick thing.” Dyn grabbed a part to something and gave it to Seirra through her teeth. “What is it?”

“Don’t know!” Dyn replied. The man in the cape turned towards Seirra and in the moonlight she caught a glimpse of the face. She shivered, “Crait, go get her.” Then Dyn roared and leapt down from the tree, “You’re going to have get through me first, brother!” Dyn growled fiercely.

“What do you think I should do, Asadior?” Crait asked menace in his hiss.

“She’s a traitor, KILL HER!” Asadior spoke coldly.

Crait jumped up, and Dyn jumped up to meet him. Seirra gulped as Asadior let out an eerie cry and animals came running out of the bushes. The rider on Stargazer’s back whooped and more animals lumbered into the clearing. Animals were fighting their own kind horses to horses, snakes to snakes, and so on. Where could Stargazer be?Seirra worried, then she saw Stargazer, fighting!

Seirra grasped the staff in her hand and jumped down from the tree into the midst of the battle and since there was no other human in sight she started hitting animals who had an A shaped mark on their pelt, standing for Asadior. Seirra twirled the staff in her right hand then passed it to her left. “No time for showoffs here.” A mouse squeaked to her. Man, that mouse is mean. Then she realized the mouse had a point. She ran to help a horse with a teal mane, Stargazer. Stargazer was battling another horse, the man that was on her back had disappeared into the battle, same as Asadior.

Seirra stabbed the horse in the leg, the horse collapsed muttering something and shakily stood back up and ran away stumbling and limping. In that moment Stargazer looked at Seirra, and Seirra returned the look of thankfulness. Stargazer raced away back into the battle but as a different horse.

Foul breath reached Seirra’s nose, Seirra whipped around and found herself staring into green eyes. “Asadior…” she whispered.

“So you’ve heard about me, have you?” the rank stench came flowing out of the evil man’s mouth. He pulled an evil looking spear out, Seirra grabbed the staff from her back and swung it around just as Asadior brought up his spear to drive it home. The spear met the meatal staff with resistance like nothing ever seen before, Asadior was flung backwards onto the solid earth below. Seirra was frozen with fear and joy.  Seirra then snapped out of her frozenness and ran towards the man on the ground, and raised her staff to hit Asadior, but Asadior was faster as he rolled out of the way. Seirra’s staff hit the bear ground but caught a little bit his cape, giving it another tear. Asadior jumped back up onto his feet and hurled at Seirra with his spear, she blocked it once more and grabbed his wrist. Asadior yowled in rage as he tore free from Seirra’s grip. Asadior threw his spear into the air and it landed.

Seirra crumpled to the ground her tears and blood mixed together staining the ground a watery red. Her foot had been hit sending waves of pain through it. “How brave are you now, girl?” Asadior taunted the pain filled girl.

Seirra put her hand on her foot when she picked her hand up it was red, she felt sick. Instead of giving in to Asadior, she grabbed her staff and stood up. Pain soared through her but she forced herself to stand. “I’m braver then you think, King!” tears still streamed down Seirra’s freckled face as she threw her staff at him, he ducked, but it hit General Marca.

“NO!”  Crait released his grip on Dyn and ran over to Marca. “No, Father! Who did this?”

“Her.” Asadior pointed at Seirra with her staff. “But I’m already taking care of her.” The battle between the animals had stopped, dawn was rising but Asadior was already coming towards Seirra with her staff pointed at her. Seirra didn’t move, she couldn’t, she knew she didn’t have a chance. Suddenly the man that rode Stargazer flipped over her and met Asadior with a thump as he took a sword and fought with it against the meatal staff. “Kuma, you know I have won.”

“Yes, Asadior but this girl is ours, I wasn’t going to let you kill her.” Asadior called to his horse, Darknight, and rode away his animals following.

All of the dead animals Seirra didn’t recognize except Marca. Not far away Dyn was lying on the ground her eyes glazed. “Not Dyn! She saved me!” Seirra tried to make her way over to the tiger but her foot kept her from moving.  “Child, I’m sorry I ran away.” The soothing voice of Stargazer made the ache inside Seirra die a little.

“Seirra are you okay?” Kuma asked. Seirra shifted showing him her injured foot. “Oh that’s nasty. You need shundeay ointment!”

“There were shundeays in Shade’s secret garden.” Stargazer told Kuma.

“That’s why I’m here!” Shade said through a mouthful of flowers.

“Thank goodness you’re here!” Seirra spoke with relief. I forgot that shundeays were healing flowers!

“Can you walk okay?” the question was asked about a thousand times. “Yes.” Was always the answer. Seirra was healing quickly thanks to Shade and his shundeays.

“Why did you run away?” Seirra had to know the answer.

“It’s about time you found out, Asadior and I were friends, best friends before he turned evil. When he turned evil he offered me a spot as royal advisor, I said yes, but later I gave plans away to Kuma for a battle that was to happen. Later he found out…. and yeah, that was the end of it. Branded traitor forever I was lucky not to be killed.”  Stargazer turned her hide to Seirra to show her the almost invisible crossed out A.

“That’s horrible!” Seirra cried.

“I will understand if you do not wish for me to be your friend.”

“Never in my lifetime would I do such a thing as dump my rescuer!” Seirra flung her arms around Stargazer herfriend.

Seirra traveled back to the battleground while her foot was healing Kuma and his troops had buried their lost animals and Asadior’s animals. In the battlefield Seirra was searching for the staff that was the only connection to Dyn.

Stargazer had to tell Seirra something that no other thing could hear. “Is this your staff child?” Stargazer was standing over something meatal and shiny.

“Yes!” Seirra exclaimed joyfully. “What did you need to tell me?” Seirra asked question in her voice.

“You have a power, everyone here does and it’s forbidden to tell anyone what that power is. Mine is running. I can run faster and farther than any other horse on the planet.” Stargazer bragged. “YOU!” Seirra pointed her finger at the horse in an accusing, joking way, “You just told me your power!”

“Yes, I did so that you know I’m not faking it! I think your power is ultimate fighting, I mean Kuma is very skilled, but you had no training but you’re like the best fighter EVER!”  Stargazer exaggerated. “Yes, you are a skilled fighter.” Seirra saw a shadow move. The same rank stench reached Seirra’s nose once more, she felt evil, hatred and darkness. Asadior…

The man she had hoped never to meet again was right in front of her. “Come and fight me, Asadior!” Seirra challenged the glinting green eyes that stared at her.

“Seirra! No! Jump on my back!” Seirra listened but was too late.  Asadior grabbed the helpless girl and shoved her to the ground. It all happened in a flash. She was bound once more, helpless, and beaten once again. I must escape! Who knows what Asadior will do to me! Seirra felt like giving up, but she wouldn’t. She would always fight, she would never give in to such evil, she would never lose sight of hope, she was a warrior, fierce, strong, brave and loyal, forever.

“Leave, horse!” Asadior ordered Stargazer.

“If you think I’ll leave my best friend, well you’re wrong.” Stargazer snorted. “No you may not have-”

“I don’t want my job back, I’m talking about Seirra.” Asadior’s eyes hardened, but Stargazer returned the stare without flinching.

“Darknight!” Asadior yelled. A strong horse came thundering in, his muscles flaring with energy. “Yes, my lord?” Darknight acknowledged.

“Fight her, I’ve got the girl.”

Darknight reared up and came down so hard on Stargazer’s back she collapsed and shuddered. “You are going to regret the day you were born, traitor.” Darknight whinnied. I can’t lose Seirra again, I must fight! Stargazer told herself, but her body screamed for rest. Stargazer stood up slowly and spoke defensively but calmly, “No one will ever beat Seirra!”

“Really? Asadior just proved you wrong. Oh, what are you trying to do? Talk me to death?” Darknight said sarcastically, “Because I fight.”

“Let me go!” Seirra fought for freedom that seemed so sweet.

“No why would I?” Asadior answered.

“What made you become so evil anyway?”

“Choice, I decided that I should be the ruler, not Libbi, my sister. But sometimes I regret my choice.” Seirra saw him look away, with the look of shame in his eyes. “But you can change right?” Seirra whispered “If I did, the animals good and bad wouldn’t take me in, and everything would be chaos.” Asadior slid his hood down to reveal spiky blond hair. He was human… Human! He looked like a friend in that moment.

Darknight was losing, badly limping around he fell on his side, “I surrender.” He said gasping for air.

“Do you?” Stargazer asked.

“Yes, I do!” Darknight spoke stepping away from Stargazer.

“Go back to Asadior then!” but Darknight was already limping towards the bushes were Asadior had disappeared.

“And so what if it was chaos?” Seirra argued, “You’d be free of this life!”

“Maybe, but no, I must stay true to my claim of the kingdom.” Asadior spoke as he slid his hood back up over his head. “And enough of this changing thing.” Asadior looked at Seirra sternly.

As Darknight fled Stargazer wondered how she would get Seirra back. Asadior must be taking Seirra to his Palace. That’s it! I can get into the palace through the secret entrance! Stargazer remembered!

“Ah, Darknight. Wait, Darknight? What happened to you?” Asadior looked surprised

“Um, Stargazer beat me.”

“How?”

“I don’t know, my lord.” Darknight answered submissively.

“Well then, you need to go over to that tree.” Darknight trotted over to the tree that he was told to stand by. Asadior ran and jumped up onto the strongest branch with incredible strength and flung himself onto the dark gray horse. “Come over here girl!” Asadior called.

“My name’s Seirra!” Seirra spoke through gritted teeth.

Stargazer was slinking through the undergrowth as she was drawing nearer to the entrance she heard footsteps from her own kind.

Stargazer listened carefully to the voices. “Get her to her cell.” They must be talking about Seirra! I have to rescue her! Stargazer said to herself.

Seirra was beaten, thrown into a cell she was back where she started, ragged and torn. She sat down on the floor of her chamber and played with her brown hair twirling it. If only…

Stargazer made sure there was no guards when she entered the palace. Stargazer stopped in an eerie hallway, as she looked around she saw movement, Stargazer snapped her head in the direction of the movement, surprised. Kuma?

Seirra started crying, her tears gathered in a puddle. Seirra looked into the puddle at herself, Seirra’s brown hair fell down on either side of her face. She glanced down at her ragged and torn clothes, but they weren’t torn or ragged. She was in a black suit of some sort and there was an orange mark on it and the mark looked like a croissant moon. Stargazer wears this mark too and that guy named Kuma, all the good animals wear it! This is the sign of the good! Seirra’s hair was also pulled into a braid, and her smile back upon her lips.

“Kuma? Is that you?” Stargazer asked in a whisper.

“Star? Why are you here?”

“Seirra was taken.” Stargazer answered Kuma. “Why are you here?” Stargazer whispered confused

“This is a secret, Asadior is my son, he doesn’t know.” An odd silence was broken by a gulp from Stargazer “Libbi was your daughter too.”

“Yes she was Star.”

A ladder was thrust down Seirra’s cell. “Climb out girl.”  Seirra clambered up the ladder and stood face to face with Asadior. “Your friend is here.” Was all he said.

Kuma was tied up and standing next to Stargazer when Seirra entered the room. Where did Seirra get that suit with the symbol? Asadior sure didn’t give it to her!“Seirra! Where did you get that suit?”

“I don’t know! But it’s so good to see you Stargazer.”

“You too Seirra.”

Seirra was relieved to see Kuma and Stargazer, even though Kuma was tied up. Why am I glad to see them here? I need to fight! Fight for the freedom of the whole kingdom! To fight for my friends. Asadior will never have full power over the kingdom, so let’s not start now!

“Seirra, the reason I brought you up here was to fight, after Stargazer and Kuma fight of course.” Asadior grinned

“Fight you?” Seirra clamped her fists into balls.

“No their own kind, Kuma will fight me though.” Seirra had never had hate in her mind let alone at someone, but that all changed that very day.

Asadior pushed Seirra into a chair like item, with binders on either side of the chair where the armrest would’ve been. Asadior put Seirra’s wrists into the binders and clamped the binders around her arms and wrists. “All you get to do is watch.” Asadior laughed. Seirra’s hate for him had been a spark now swindled into a flame.

Stargazer had won her battle but now it was Kuma’s turn. “This is a battle you won’t win old man.” Asadior spun his spear in the air, Kuma drew out his sword. “Even if I do lose I will be free of this burden I carry.” Seirra didn’t understand. What burden would he have? I mean, like the worst burden anyone could have hear would be to have… Would be having Asadior as your son!

In a short time, Asadior was winning. Kuma was bleeding badly and his sides were heaving in and out as if he didn’t have any breath. “Kuma, watch out!” Seirra yelled but it was too late, Kuma was laying on the ground, lifeless. Seirra’s hate fanned into a fire now. “Your own father.” Stargazer whispered. Seirra had been right.

Seirra was released. Asadior threw her staff to her. Seirra caught it gracefully. “You can give up now girl, or you can fight me to your death. Which will you choose?” Asadior questioned.

If I’m gonna do anything it will be fight. Seirra had made up her mind, and she wasn’t going to give up. “Asadior, you must know something…”

“Whatever I do, I will never go back, I will never go back to being hurt by you, I will never go back to being torn by you, but most importantly, I will never go back to being beaten by evil. I will fight!” Seirra leapt towards Asadior staff held tight. She hit his spear with such force, Seirra was flung backwards but she was quick, and back upon her feet. “Trust me Asadior, you won’t win.”

Asadior smiled in an evil way, “Of course I’ll win. I won last time.”

I will not lose this time! Seirra vowed silently.

I wonder what this suit can do? Or if it’s just decoration!Seirra jumped, just as Asadior swiped his spear past where Seirra had been a moment ago. Man, that was close! Maybe this suit can do something! Seirra jumped towards Asadior, but her suit made her jump over him. But Seirra had quick thinking and hit him with her staff in the back. Asadior crashed to the ground moaning in pain. “Asadior, do you surrender?” Seirra questioned.

“N-N-No!” he gasped, breathing heavily.

“Stargazer, are there any other spies here?”

“Yes!” “Well can you go find them?”

“Of course!”  Stargazer raced away.

“Asadior, you have to face the fact that you’re beaten.”

“Never.”

“Asadior, you’re no longer the king, I won.”

“No you didn’t.” Asadior was furious.

Stargazer came trotting back with some animals. “The Evil King was beaten!” One mouse squeaked. “Yes, he is beaten!” Seirra said as she scooped up the tiny creature in her arms.

“Put Asadior in a cell and guard him.” Stargazer ordered the animals as the animals scuttled away with Asadior in the middle of them, Stargazer looked solemn. “Why do you look so sad?” Seirra asked the beautiful horse. “It is time for you to go home, Queen.”

“Bu-But I can’t leave you!”

“Seirra you know you have to.”

“Can I ever come back?”

“Yes you can.” Seirra looked into Stargazer’s beady eyes and said,

“I will come back, and soon.”

“I know.” Stargazer spoke.

Seirra was back on her bed in the orphanage. It was real, really real! Seirra was amazed to find Kathreen sitting on her bed, her face in her pillow crying. “Kathreen, what’s the matter?”

“My mother caught a sickness, and Mistress Sharp got the phone call and she told me…” Seirra had forgotten that Kathreen was not an orphan.

“Told you what?” “My mother got the sickness real bad and that she died early this morning.” “Oh Kathreen…” Seirra started crying too.

“Kathreen! Come down to do the dishes.” Ms. Sharp called.

“Coming.” Kathreen said through sobs. Seirra followed Kathreen through the door, but Ms. Sharp stopped her.

“Where are you going?” she spoke gruffly.

“To help Kathreen with the dishes.”

Ms. Sharp didn’t say anything just nodded her head in response.

“Kathreen I’m here to help you.” Seirra spoke as she entered the kitchen.

“Of all those mean things that I did to you, you want to help me!”

“Yes, I do want to help you.”

“Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you!” Kathreen said joyfully as she flung her soapy hands around Seirra her happiness lighting up the room, like a wildfire spreading all around the orphanage.

“Never thought you two would ever work together.” Kaden said from the doorway.

“Me neither to be truthful.” Seirra laughed.

“Um, guys to add to the excitement, there’s five inches of snow outside! Ms. Sharp said we could play in it after you were done with the dishes.” Lilly jumped up and down as she told the orphans.

“Then let’s all help Kathreen!” Kaden suggested. “Yippee!” Kathreen whooped.

Seirra smiled to herself. I love being here but I do miss Kascia and Stargazer.
