I need you guys' opinions.
I asked my art teacher to critique some of my pics, and this was one of them.

Her critiques were:
-Marking (Mark making techniques)
-Graduation (blending the fur)
-Show a contrast of dark and light.

So, I was trying to decide a dark colour I could use, given the theme of the character; auroras and snow.

Well, as I was looking through Google to try and get inspiration, I realised something.
Here's her fur

They don't look like eachother.
Auroras are more neon, whilst mine is very pastel.

Now, I have two options.

Option 1-
I change her appearance drastically, using neons to replace the pastels.
That, and many aspects of the body would be changed to avoid too much neon and keep your eyes from bleeding.
Seriously, just Google neon palettes. My eyes burned.
Here's an image of a concept idea of the redesign.

Trying to use blacks, greys, and silvers to make the colours pop more, but I might use the other concept's colours.
Also, the pen neon yellow is where the aurora patterns would be added.

Option 2-
I change her magic.
An idea for this change could be chromokinesis/colour manipulation. Perhaps she could change the colour of her fur, like a chameleon, and use it for camouflage.
Or maybe even emotion magic, and the colours of her fur indicate a mix of her own emotion and the emotions of those around her, or what emotion she's inflicting upon another.
