Rouge Cur's POV

"Woohoo! That was awesome, Carrots!" Nick Wilde exclaimed. His bunny partner, Judy Hopps, rolled her eyes and sighed. "Nick, it was pretty nice to work on that case and finish it up as quick as that, but I'm sure it won't be that easy anymore." She said.

Nick stopped and calmed down. He was being OOC. "You're right. Gotta stay calm." Nick stated. Judy smiled. "Good! Stay calm, but always on your feet! Now... think fast!" She threw a quick punch which he easily caught.

"Stop trying, Carrots." Nick smirked. Chief Bogo came up to them as they entered the briefing room. "Hopps! Wilde! I have something for you!" Bogo said.

"Hmm? What is it, Boss?" Nick asked. "Is it a day off?" Judy asked excitedly. "I think you can read minds, Hopps. Yes, it's a day off." Bogo replied. Judy smiled and Nick smirked.

"Well this'll be fun." Nick said. "Ooh! Yes! Thanks, Chief! C'mon, Nick! Follow me!" Judy dragged Nick to her apartment. "Alright, just sit down while I make arrangements." She said proudly.

"Okay? Carrots, where am I?" He asked. Judy face-palmed. "Sorry! Forgot to tell you we were going here! This is my place. I need to pack my bags and make a call, so multi-tasking. We can stop at your place after this." Judy took charge.

"Whoa, you thought ahead, Carrots." Nick said, impressed. "Good." Judy simply said. She dialed a number and the phone only rang once before they picked up.

"Hey mom, dad," when Nick heard that he stopped playing with Judy's pencil and looked up, shocked, "yeah, Chief Bogo gave us the weekend off and I was wondering if me and my new partner could come over. If he agrees." She looked at him expectantly.

Nick just nodded. "He said yes, so would it be fine?" Judy asked. "Sure, sure! That's fine! We can call Gideon Gray over with some of his cake!" Someone on the line says.

"Mom, it's okay. Gideon doesn't have to come over." Judy says sweetly. But her mom wouldn't take no for an answer. "But he would happily come over! I'm pretty sure your partner hasn't had his pastries yet!"

Judy sighed. "Alright. Love you guys. Tell my siblings I'm coming over. Bye." She hung up and looked at Nick happily. "Nick, we're going to Bunnyburrow!"

"JUDY!!" Multiple voices yelled. The ground at the Bunnyburrow train station started to shake. "What was that?" Nick asked warily. "My 275 brothers and sisters." Judy replied.

"Wait, 270 what?!" Nick asked. His eyes grew to the size of pinballs. "275 siblings." She said simply. "I'm lucky I'm an only child." Judy walked out bravely and was tackled into a hug.

"Judy! It is so good to see you!" A voice called out. Nick guessed it was her mom and dad. "Mom! Dad!" She somehow managed to get out of the hug and gave her parents one.

"Jude the dude! Judy! How ya doin'?" Her dad asked. "I'm fine. How about you?" She asked. "We're great!" Her mom answered. "Well, uh, mom, dad, this is my partner. Nick Wilde."

Nick waved uncomfortably. "Why, sweetie, he seems like a lovely partner. We're not the only ones working with a fox now. Why, speak of the devil!" Her mom exclaimed as a truck with a pie on it rolled up.

"Gideon!" Judy said. A plump fox with a baker's outfit on jumped out of the truck. "Judy! I brought another pie as celebration of you and your partner!" Gideon exclaimed.

"Ooh! Thank you! Now Gideon, meet Nick Wilde, my partner. Nick, Gideon. Gideon, Nick." Judy introduced. Nick held out a hand. "Nice to meet you, Gideon."

Gideon took it happily. "It is so nice to meet you as well. I'm surprised Judy took a fox as a partner considering her bad history with foxes but I see now why she picked you. You seem pretty nice!"

Nick's head was spinning by how fast Gideon was shaking his hand. "Thank you?" Once Gideon let go Nick started breathing again. "What do you mean by history?" He asked once he composed himself.

"Uh, nothing! Nothing at all! How about we get that pie now, Gideon?" Judy cut in nervously. As Nick watched them walk away he started thinking. What was that about? He thought.

Gideon jerked away once they were out of sight. "What was that about? Why did you say that?" He asked. Judy sighed. "Because if he found out you bullied me he wouldn't be too forgiving and he would feel bad cause he is a fox too."

Gideon sighed and nodded his head. "Guess that makes sense." He said in defeat. "Good. Let's keep it this way." They got the pie and brought it to the table. "Eat up!" Gideon said as they started to eat.

"Mmm! This is good!" Nick exclaimed. Gideon looked at him happily. "Why thanks! It's carrot flavored." Nick smirked. "Carrots?" Judy face-palmed. "No. Just stop. Now."

He laughed. "Sure, sure. It was fun while it lasted." The rest looked at them confused. "Well, alright! Time for karaoke!" Judy's dad exclaimed. "Nick? Call me Stu." Her dad said.

"And me Bonnie." Her mom ensured. "Sure thing, Stu, Bonnie." Judy giggled. "C'mon! Let's go!" She pushed Nick into the house.
