That's Shadow up there! read on!

It was leaf bare. Barely any prey and huge blizzards. I was once a kittypet along with my mother and father. My father thought it was a good Idea to join this so called BloodClan. We joined But I never wanted to go. I heard rumors that if a cat did not obey the Clan's leader, witch was Scourge, he would have you killed. And the rest of the Clan was forced to watch. If you were lucky, you would be chased out. Scourge would always do the killing. Right now, scourge is going to kill my dad's best friend. Boulder.

Scourge walked around Boulder.

"What should we do with you?" he asked. Boulder didn't reply. "Since you did not obey orders," Scourge continued. "We should kill you!" Scourge lunged at boulder, nipping at his ear.

"Wait!" My father, Shadow cried. "We don't have to kill him!"

"You have pity on him, eh?" Scourge asked.

"Yes. I do." Shadow said camly.

"Shadow!" My mother Dusk, called. "Don't do this!"

He glanced back. "I have to."

"It's okay" I said, trying to comfort her. "He is strong and brave. He'll get out."

"Traitor!" Scourge howled. Boulder backed out towards Dusk and I just before Scourge attacked. He lunged for Shadow's underbelly. Shadow dodged just in time. He clawed at Scourge's side. Scourge howled in pain.

"I will kill you!" Scourge yelled in anger. He swiped at Shadow's face splattering blood everywhere. Shadow, half blinded, swiped at Scourge, missing and stumbled. Scourge jumped onto his back howling out in victory.

"Dusk!" Shadow choked. "Take Thorn and Boulder and get out of here!"

"No!" Dusk whispered. "I can't leave you." Then without warning, Scourge did the killing blow, swiping at Shadow's neck. Shadow lay there. Dead. Blood swirling around his neck.

"Come on mom!" I cried. "We got to go!"

"O-okay" She said. I could tell she was in big shock. I had the same.

I never wanted it to happen. But it happened. Shadow, My father. Was killed in cold blood. We slowly padded out of camp with Boulder trying not to be seen. Unfortunately, Scourge spotted us.

"Hey," he called. "Where do you think your going?" the others stared at us.

"Run!" Boulder shouted. He pelted out of camp. We followed.

"Follow them!" Scourge shouted. He took the lead of his cats and followed us. Snow started to fall. Lightly at first, then, it was like a blizzard.

Yes! BloodClan will never be able to find us!

"Stick together!" I called. "We can't get lost!" I ran towards dusk. I heard her panting heavily.

"I can't go any farther" she panted. I looked at her. Her belly was swollen. She's having kits? I really need to find a place for her to rest. I looked around for some spot to take shelter. There was a cave covered in snow.

"Come on!" I called. We trudged towards the cave with the snow attacking our insides. Finally, we reached it and we padded into it. The coldness outside wasn't as bad inside but we could see our breath.

"Welcome to home sweet home" Boulder mewed, looking around.

"Let's rest." I suggested. Immediately, Dusk curled up and was soon fast asleep. I curled up beside her. Exhaustion soon overwhelmed me and I was fast asleep.
