Camping Adventure! -Chpt 8
I went to wake up Rufioh and Tavros. Once the two angels were awake, we ate dinner. "cAN WE UHHHh,,, wATCH PUPA PAn?" I got excited, suddenly reminded of the fact; we have a tv in the camper! I verbally agreed and rushed into the bedroom. We set up the movie and got comfortable. I was snuggling Tavros on my left, with an arm around Rufioh on my right. The Summoner was laying beside me on Rufioh's side.
I yawned, and before I knew it, I blacked out along with everyone else. 'I can't wait for tomorrow.' Was my last thought.
I woke up to find that I was alone. I yawned and stretched feeling a sudden rush of energy for the morning, I got up and walked out to the fridge and started making some eggs. I made a delicious breakfast for me and the boys. "The boys...?" I asked myself looking around again, only to be met with the same sight; a slightly messy vacant camper. I slowly shrugged it off and ate. I was only half way done my over easy egg when I heard a clank outside. I raised a brow and put my fork down, standing up to go check ou the noise.
I walked to the door and opened it, then poked my head out and looked both ways. There was nothing really out of the ordinary. I turned and put my shoes on, then walked out of the camper down the two steps. I turned and shut the door, then continued on my way. I kept walking around the trailer park. Not seeing anyone at all, I kept going. "I know it's kind of early, but nobody's here..???" I thought out loud. I stopped in my tracks and slowly turned around. Still nothing. I let out a slightly tense sigh. It's too quiet, and too vacant. I took a left and made my way to the beach side.
Looking around for anything at all got me nowhere. There were boats and canoes tied to the docks, but still no people. I furrowed my brows and let out an annoyed sigh. Spinning on my heels I walked back to the trail to continue. Next stop; the gas station. There's no way that place could be void of humans and trolls. The cashier had to be there at least. My walking pace began to speed up as I felt a familiar tight squeeze in my chest; anxiety and anxiousness. My thoughts began to take over my conscious. "What if they're not there? Did they leave me? Did I do something wrong? What if they went outside and got attacked by a bear? What if I get attacked by a bear?!" My breathing became a bit more laboured, and since I was so deep in thought I didn't notice someone walking in front of me.
Apparently he didn't notice me either; we crashed into each other. I fell on the gravel with a slight "scrrgh" noise. The collision snapped me out of my thoughts and I managed to catch the man's bag before it hit the ground. My eyes widened slightly and I whined "Oww." I pout ever so slightly. I then offered the man his bag. "I'm so sorry miss!" He said. "It's fine. I should've been looking where I was going." I responded. He shook his head then offered me his hand while using the other to grab the bag. I smiled and took his hand, pulling myself up. "Thank you..." I paused looking at him. "Andrew. Andrew Burtai." He said offering a smile. I nodded "Andrew." He had short messy blonde hair and valley green eyes. He seemed a bit thin, but overall athletic. He had freckles every here and there and a bright smile.
"Do you know where everyone is?" I asked whilst brushing myself off and looking around. "Not really. You're the first person I've seen all morning. Where ya heading...?" He asked. I shrugged slightly "(Y/N) (L/N). And, well I'm just looking for some friends. Can't find them though.. Actually, I should probably continue looking. It was nice meeting you!" With that I began to walk away. "Wait!" He shouted while grabbing my wrist. "Here, take my number. Call me if you need anything." He said then handed me a small slip paper. I smiled "Thanks Andrew. See you later!" I said while slipping the paper in my pocket, continuing to walk along my way again. I made my way to the little confection shop and walked in. The smell of fresh pastries, coffee, and breakfast sandwiches hit me as I opened the doors. My mouth began to drool and my stomach growled, then I realized; I hadn't finished my breakfast. I let out a hasty sigh under my breath and looked around. Seeing no customers but an middle aged woman in the back corner of the shop, I turned and walked out of the shop. "Where could they be?!" I asked myself in slight frustration.
I began to walk back to the camper when I heard the soft whistling of the wind in the trees. I froze for a moment to listen to the soft sound, but it instantly clicked that it wasn't the breeze. My eyes shot open and I saw light bronze zip through the tree tops. Not knowing what else to do, I chased after it. By the time I lost it, i had ended up right in front of the camper. I gave a very confused look and walked inside. My quarter eaten breakfast lay plated on the table. My stomach let out another loud growl and I concluded that I can't continue walking around on an empty stomach. Sticking to my thought, I walked over to the table and looked down. I picked up the plate and put it into the microwave, closing the small door and setting the time to thirty seconds. I waited for the time to run out, then I grabbed my plate full of warm food and sat down. I ate, then put my dish in the sink. With a content smile, I walked into my room and put on a pair of (pants/shorts/leggings/etc) and a comfortable shirt.
I walked outside yet again, only to see the three boys walking back to the camper. A shocked expression painted my face and I met them half way. "Where were you guys? You've been gone for over an hour! I was starting to think something happened to you!" I exclaimed. "We're f1ne doll. Don't worry. 1 took Ruf1oh and Tavros down to use the washroom, then Tavros got d1stracted and chased after a deer. 1 got to h1m before he went to far, but then we were lost. That's when 1 flew up to see where we were. Then we walked back here." The Summoner explained softly. "My heart felt weird, maybe it's because what he said?" I nodded in understanding before ushering everyone back into the camper. "As long as you're all okay. You can just heat up your breakfast." I said.
The afternoon flew by and before I knew it, it was one o'clock.
I sat down on my towel, which moments prior I had nearly placed onto the sand. Laying down with a soft grunt, I let the warmth of the sun envelope my skin. I heard someone lay beside me on their own towel, but I didn't bother looking up. "You're not go1ng 1nto the lake?" I heard the all too familiar voice ask me. "No, not yet." I responded. Stretching slightly. A yawn escaped my mouth and I laid there in peace for a while. I could hear Rufioh and Tavros playing in the water, making me smile. "I missed this. It's too bad I had to grow up and move out, my childhood was amazing. Sometimes I wish I could relive those memories." I thought to myself.
I sat up suddenly, startling The Summoner. I gave him a sly smile then I ran into the water. I heard him let out a chuckle, then get up. I dove under the surface of the water, and swam around until I needed to take a breath. I arched my back to turn where I was headed, then used my legs to propel myself forward. Breaking the surface of the water, I breathed in deeply. My eyes scanned the shore of the beach only to see The Summoner, he had water droplets on his skin indicating he was in the water moments ago. There was another man in front of him, and he looked disgusted. I began to make my shoreline. Their conversation began to make sense as I could hear it better.
The man acknowledged me and growled. "Is this your slave? He doesn't belong here. Especially in a public place. You should never let him have such privileges. And what are those filthy things doing in the water? None of them even have any fresh scars? Why the #### are you treating him like a nor-"*SLAP*
The loud sound of me slapping the man echoed across the shore. My eyes were glowing with a fiery rage. One of which unknown to the troll behind me. The mans eyes widen as a red mark instantly appeared on his face. "You. Will. NEVER. Speak to MY FAMILY like that EVER again. What kind of world do YOU live in to think treating an innocent LIVING person such a way should be a normal thing?!" I screamed. Without thinking of my actions, I turned very quickly and hung my arms around the summoners neck. I pulled his face to mine and left a short but sweet kiss on his lips. I pulled back letting go, then I growled at the man. "If you don't leave right NOW, I can assure you, you will not favour what'll happen to you." I hissed furiously.
The Summoner stood behind me wide eyes with a deep bronze blush painting his face. He softly reached up and touched his lips, then looked at me with a smirk on his face. He let out a soft chuckle and the man frowned deeply and gave one last grossed out look (which was returned with an angry hiss from (Y/N)-) before walking quickly away.
