Far and away from the

world that sees

stands a bankrupt tenement

of a soul deceased

Lying in a lonely cul-de-sac

In a neighborhood of enemies

Jesus at the curb, discarded with belief

How can He forgive such offense?

How in the world can there be recompense?

Supernaturally, in our stead
