Chapter 6
It happened late.
Everyone was supposed to be asleep.
Hanjin was sitting on the couch, legs tucked under him, waiting.
Dohoon joined him quietly.
They didn't even speak before Hanjin shifted closer, curling against Dohoon's side.
Dohoon wrapped an arm around him automatically.
Comfort.
Safe.
Hanjin looked up.
"You ever regret it?" he asked softly.
"No."
"Even if it gets complicated?"
Dohoon tilted his chin gently upward.
"It's already complicated."
And then he kissed him again.
Longer this time.
Still gentle — but more certain.
More confident.
Hanjin's fingers tangled into Dohoon's hoodie as he leaned in fully.
They didn't hear the footsteps at first.
Until—
"...Oh."
They jumped apart.
Kyungmin stood at the hallway entrance.
Silence.
Hanjin's heart nearly stopped.
Kyungmin blinked once.
Then twice.
"...Relax," he said calmly. "I'm not blind."
Dohoon stepped slightly in front of Hanjin — protective without thinking.
Kyungmin smiled faintly.
"As long as you're both okay, that's all that matters."
Then he walked back to his room.
The door clicked shut.
Hanjin let out the breath he'd been holding.
Dohoon turned to him.
"You okay?"
Hanjin nodded slowly.
"Yeah... because you're here."
And Dohoon pulled him into another hug — tighter than before.
