I have to thank you all so much. I saw I had almost 3k views on this story and I teared up.

I didn't write this intending to get a lot of views, or for it to even be popular, I originally wrote Noona as a way of dealing with my jumbled thoughts and emotions as the man who assaulted me was getting off of probation. It's a horrible feeling knowing the protection order that was in place during that period is no longer in effect. 

To know you took time out of your day to read Noona makes me ecstatic and I thank all of you so much.

Sexual assault is real, victim shaming is sadly also real. So if you know someone who has been raped or sexually assaulted please never tell them it's their fault, or that they in some way caused this.

If you have been sexually assaulted or raped, please reach out to the nearest helpline or hospital. They are trained to help and they are miracle workers. Also, I know I say victim, and that's because at the beginning that is how we think of ourselves. We think 'why me', or 'if I wouldn't have been there or done that then this wouldn't have happened'. You are not a victim, you are a SURVIVOR. Every day that you get up after an ordeal like that one is one more day where you are not allowing circumstances that happened to you dictate your life.
