Yato POV

So I was right! Toukenai's body became rigid, and she screamed

"You bitch!" Her eyes began to tear up and she said again

"Just run, Yato!" Tears ran down her face and her expression softened. Then it turned angry again.

"So you are in there." I smiled "At least I know you'll be ok. Sekki!" Yukine darted into my hands, the twin katanas glistening. I remember... the other heart was on her right side? "Strike there, Yuki!" I yelled to my regalia.

"Okay, Yato." He whispered back, his voice shaking with fear and sadness.

We went back and forth, fighting her, regalia swords to glassy dagger. She grabbed me by my throat.

"Agh-" I reached to my throat, letting go of Yukine. She threw me across the hall and into the wall. I stood up shakily, rubbing my neck. I slid back down the wall. She stood over me now, her eyes glowing blood red. Then she froze. Her eyes shot to the dagger, and she stabbed herself. She pulled out the dagger and stabbed herself in the chest. She dropped the dagger and stuck her hand in. Quickly, she pulled out a heart. It was black, and pulsing with red energy. She crushed it in her hands, ashy blood dripping from between her knuckles. As it hit the floor, it sizzled. Her hair began to regain its regular aquamarine blue color. And her eyes turned into a pale yellow. She gasped, and fell to her knees. She clutched the wounds as blood dripped down her clothing. I stood up

"Toukenai!" I ran over to her and pulled her onto my lap. she coughed, and blood ran down her chin. I held her close, her warm breath brushing my ear. She got up, and pulled me up with her. She smiled, and the wounds closed. The only discernible marks were scars where she had stabbed herself and the holes in her jacket. She wiped her mouth clean of blood and pulled me in for a kiss. It was short, but filled with love. We both smiled at each other after, and Yato called for Yukine to revert. 

"YOU FRICKING PERVERTED GOD!" Yukine was blushing like crazy even though he hadn't been kissed. I reached over and kissed him on the cheek. He blushed even more and blood flew out of his nose like a waterfall. 

"OW! HEY! YOU'RE THE PERVERT!" Yato shouted back, rubbing the back of his neck. Toukenai seemed to be trying to stiffle a laugh. Hiyori walked out into the courtyard with us. She saw what happened, and smiled.

I slept in the same room as Toukenai that night. We both changed into our pajamas and crawled into our futons. Later that night, she said to me

"Yato?"

"Yeah? What is it?"

"I'm cold. Can I join you in bed?"

"S-sure." 

She crawled out of her own bed, and I scooted over to give her space. She was small, but her body was muscular. She smiled at me, and I blushed. I don't know how to react when someone has a look that happy on their face. 

Toukenai POV

He was blushing as I smiled at him. I snuggled into his strong arms, and he held me. He was built well, but had almost no muscle to speak of. I guess that's okay. It doesn't bother me one bit. I'll still love him either way.
