I take a few deep breathes before walking back out again. Though it has only been days, it feels like years. So much has changed. My heart hurts, everything hurts, but I can't escape. My world has done a complete 180 and I think it will remain like this forever. I let out a sigh before forcing a smile and moving to my next class.

Shyla manages to find me as I am walking to my next class. "Hey silly, why didn't you wait for me like you always do?"

My mind goes blank. "I uh... had a lot of things on my mind." Really that's the best you got?

"...Okay? Wanna talk about it?"

"No." I answer quickly hoping to put a stop to this conversation.

"Hey did you see the news? Apparently-"

I shut her out. I love Shyla to death, but in this moment, I just want to escape, escape into the background. Unnoticed. Unloved and alone.

We turn into our next class and sit in our usual seats. The buzz of people speaking grows louder as more and more people enter the room. And finally, the class starts.

Classes drag on one by one until school is finally let out. I sigh and pick up my things and walk out of the school, avoiding my friends, and especially avoiding Rogue.

Not like he'd try talking to me anyways.

In the beginning I would always walk or take the bus home, but not anymore. I walk over to the designated area that he would pick me up. Isolated and far away from the sight of any wandering eyes.

On cue a silver car pulls up and I open the back seat with a shaky hand before crawling inside. I set my things on my lap and my head drops.

"Hey cheer up darling. Your day couldn't have been that bad."

I hate him.
