A/N: This chapter is sad. Like really  sad. Further proving I'm actually Satan. Just a fair warning.

It had been nearly eight hours since she left Xavier to Rhys. Zephrine had been doing anything to keep her mind away from it. She had eaten until she couldn't eat anymore, explored nearly every inch of the castle, even went out and did some training with the knights.

And still no word on Xavier. The sun had gone completely down when she decided she'd go up there and check.

"Zephrine!" Rhys jumped as he closed his door. "I was just coming to find you."

"Where is he? Is he alright?" She moved to walk past Rhys.

"Listen, Zeph..." Rhys held an arm out and gently pushed her back as a few knights walked by.

"Answer me!" Zephrine's heart nearly exploded with its racing.

"The king wanted me to give you this." Rhys whispered as he reached into his pocket, lightly placing a small object in his sister's hand. "It's the royal seal."

Zephrine said nothing, just fell to the floor, staring at the little cylinder that had just confirmed her worst fears. She was too much in shock to even let a tear fall. Everything seemed so far from her, like she was alone and everyone was yelling at her from miles away.

"It's still too early to tell, this is just in case his condition worsens." Rhys's mouth moved to the words, but Zephrine couldn't hear him.

Then, without even realizing it, Zephrine was standing, attempting a charge past Rhys, who caught her, kicking and screaming. She pounded on his chest with all the strength she could muster, tears flowing heavily now.

"Let me see him! I demand you let me see him!" She saw Eetu's face, arrow right between his eyes, the king and queen's heads. They were all dead because of Vana, she refused to lose Xavier as well. She kicked Rhys in the shin, and he almost let her go.

"Help me!" Rhys yelled to someone behind Zephrine. Caius then joined the mix, encasing Zephrine now from both sides.

She suddenly stopped fighting her brothers, stopped writhing in their arms, and resumed her position on the floor, sobbing violently.

"Zeph... are you okay?" Caius sat down on her left, and Rhys on her right.

Zephrine looked at both of her brothers, back to the damned seal, remembering how she felt when Xavier had kissed her, and suddenly, without warning, all she could say was, "I'm in love with him."
