seungcheol had been worried over the same thing all day, yet he still didn't have the confidence to do what he's so worked up about.

the problem is, he and jeonghan are running out of time to finish their project. the teachers had decided that in order to make the assignment more "interesting", the students were expected to start an entirely new project. the catch is, they have to come up with that project themselves.

while rather painstaking, the change isn't necessarily a problem except for the fact that he and jeonghan haven't even came up with what they're going to do for their project. the boys were far behind everyone else, who were already working on their new projects, and needed to spend extra time together in order to actually finish.

the obvious thing to do would be to work together after school, but seungcheol's absolutely petrified over the idea of actually asking jeonghan to meet up with him.

so many "what if's" and scenarios went through seungcheol's head, and they all ended with jeonghan brushing him off, the boy dying alone without a job, and three cats and a pack of instant noodles being his only possessions.

although it's completely absurd, the tall male was afraid of his crush not wanting to get with him after school in order to finish their project.

it was in the midst of this worry when he felt a light tap on his shoulder. seungcheol knocked himself out of his thoughts, and slowly turned around only to be met with the gaze of the exact boy who's been in his thoughts.

"ah, there you are! i've been looking for you everywhere. i noticed pretty much everyone else in our class are already working on creating their project for chemistry, so i was wondering if you'd wanna meet up at the coffee shop down town so we can brainstorm ideas on what to do," jeonghan asked the taller boy with a beautiful smile.

"o-oh. yeah, that's fine. i was thinking we should do that as well, so this works out great," seungcheol stuttered out, chuckling awkwardly. jeonghan nodded in agreement before telling the other boy a time and walking off.

seungcheol was overjoyed. not only did he not have to bring up the conversation, but he's going to be at a café with jeonghan. who goes to cafés together? couples. couples go to cafés together. even if they're just going to be talking about school work, nothing could ever stop him from thinking about their little meet up as a date.
