Chapter five: the dead
"But you're dead," said Harry. Draco and Ron turned to stare at Harry in shock and the mayor raised her perfectly arched eyebrows. Teddy smirked and leaned back, his eyes following them, like he were watching a tennis match.
"Harry Potter, we meet again," she said, "And this time, you seem to have brought along a brand new ridiculous theory. I am dead this time?" She laughed, a loud high pitched laugh that made Harry want to be sick.
"I killed Sirius Black! I killed Sirius Black!" She ran along the corridors, her laughter echoing, ringing in Harry's ears, "Are you going to kill me now?" She said, still laughing, as they arrived in some kind of main area, with a fountain and statues in the centre.
"I-I'm sorry...um I..." Harry didn't know what to say. The vision was fading fast and he knew it was nothing but a hallucination but it had seemed so real.
Ron nudged Harry, and he realised that the mayor, Bellatrix, was still speaking to him.
"Thank you, Mayor Black," said Draco Malfoy.
"Mayor Black?" Asked Harry suddenly. No, that couldn't be right. Harry shook his head, trying to clear his mind but failing terribly.
"Yes Mr Potter, dear?" She replied, but Harry continued shaking his head, trying to think.
"None of this is right," he said, taking a step back, "This is all wrong. So so wrong," he continued backing away, "No...no no no...this isn't my life..."
Ron laughed, thinking it was a joke, but Harry continued walking. Suddenly, he turned and fled.

"He's waking up," Hermione said as she organised the flowers in their vases, "Just as you predicted."
"I don't like the word 'predicted', I prefer 'assumed' or 'foresaw'," he said, standing up and dusting his suit, "I must now leave to work, he'll find out in his own time."
"What if he doesn't?" Hermione cut in hurriedly, "He may be the chosen one but that doesn't mean he's smart, or particularly bright."
"Those two words mean exactly the same thing," he said, as he stepped out of the door, and Hermione smiled sheepishly. She walked over to the side of the room, to the pensieve, and waved her wand once.
"Hermione please! Listen to me! This is unreasonable! I don't know who is making you do this but I know that this isn't what you want! They have you under a spell!" Hermione stared coldly at Harry as he struggled against his chains. She looked away from him for a second, then turned back.
"You're wrong Harry. This is exactly what I want. Maybe if you take a moment to think about it, you'll realise that this is what you want as well. Just imagine, Harry!" She said, her voice going from angry to desperate, "You could I forget about all of this! About the war! About Sirius and Lupin and Tonks and Fred! About everyone!"
"No! They deserve to be remembered! It's what they would have wanted!" Shouted Harry, but Hermione simply turned away, closing the door.
"Tell me when you've changed your mind," she said, "In the meantime, you'll be staying there."
