Personality- Patrick is an extremely nice guy. Niceness is his whole thing. He's always nice to people, no matter the circumstances, really. Well, he has a breaking point, if someone is annoying the heck out of him or just being plain mean. Then he might get a little defensive, but he hardly ever raises his voice. Most of his comebacks are in sarcastic, sassy ways, or just deadpan. He'll tell someone how it is, whether they like it or not. He won't usually do that with his friends, as he doesn't want to hurt their feelings, but if it's someone that's making him mad, he will. If someone has the nerve to upset him or someone he cares about, he has a right to defend them or himself. He would never physically hurt someone though, like punching. He would never do that. He has very good control over his temper, and he doesn't remember any time that he's actually lost it. Except when he was a little kid. That doesn't count. Patrick is also pretty soft. His feelings get hurt easily, which is kind of a dilemma for him. But usually, he's good at coming up with a comeback. Sometimes he'll just ignore it, sometimes he might cry, or sometimes he might get a little angry. Seeing him angry is a very rare sight, you should definitely be scared if you do. He saves his anger for when he'll need it. He won't often lash out on somebody, unless they're actually driving him nuts. Then it's usually just sarcastic, sassy remarks. He's very selfless, often caring about others more than himself, but he's also aware of his own needs, and makes sure to care for himself too. He can also be a bit reckless at times too, usually when something's bothering him, he's upset, confused, or scared. Those are often the times he gets reckless. He'll charge into things without thinking, doing a variety of different things. It usually ends up with him hurt, emotionally or physically. He's usually very good at thinking through situations and coming up with the best possible plan, but sometimes, he just isn't.

Likes- Patrick is very big on music. It's something he absolutely loves. He plays guitar, piano, drums, and he sings. Singing is probably his favorite, as well as guitar. Music is his way of calming himself down, whether it be by playing it or by listening to it. It gets him away from his thoughts, and that's what he likes. He also really likes baby animals. He doesn't care what animal it is, all baby animals are cute to him and he loves them. Also, he just really likes mermaids. He doesn't really know why, but something about mermaids makes him really like them. The tail? Maybe. The scales? Maybe. He just likes them and has a small dream of finding a mermaid some day.

Dislikes- Patrick hates thunderstorms. Thunderstorms, rain, all of that. It freaks him out and makes him panic. The loud noises don't help, and he often has to just go hide under a blanket or something, or do something to block out the sound. Usually just rain is fine, it's the loud noise of thunder that gets to him. He also really doesn't like meat, which is why he's a vegetarian. He doesn't like it because of the thought of the animals dying and all of that, and it just isn't appealing to him for that reason. So he just doesn't eat it, and that includes fish.

Backstory- Patrick's biological parents were a young teen couple, not even out of high school. So, when they had him, not ready for the responsibility of having a child, they gave him up for adoption. When he was two, he was adopted by a sweet older couple. They took care of him and raised him well, and he sees them as his parents, not ever feeling the urge to seek out his biological parents. When he was 18, he moved out and went to medical school, to become a doctor. He graduated when he was 23, and now works as a medical intern at a hospital in Chicago.

How Are Your OC and Mercedes Friends- When Patrick was a new doctor, his first patient was actually Mercedes, who had come in for some food poisoning. He was really nervous, but he took care of her and they bonded while she was there, so he gave her his contact information and they kept talking.
