"So..." I trailed off, eyes taking in every detail around me. "Where are we going first?"
Tsunade smiled, turning back to face the village with a small skip in her step. "I was thinking I could show you the main sights."
I didn't argue, nodding softly as I followed behind the young child, eyes widening as we travelled from a small alleyway to the centre of a busy town square.
"This-" Tsunade gestured before her. "-is the heart of Konoha, the busiest area."
I dumbly gaped at the amount of people, at least two hundred or so, not much compared to what it would become, but still a decent amount. Especially considering the village was only a few years old. I made sure to stick close to Tsunade as we weaved our way through the crowd, taking notice to the appearance of people.
They were almost entirely shinobi, and major clans at that. I could make out the Uchiha, Senju, Hyuuga, Nara, Akimichi and Sarutobi, but other then that, there wasn't much else. It seemed the village was a long way off from growing into a fraction of it's size. With no sign of the Uzumaki, it was safe to assume Uzugakure still existed, considering the First and Second Great Shinobi World War had not yet taken place.
"Come on! I'll show you more!" I felt Tsunade's small grip around my wrist, tugging me through the crowd. I could only see her sunshine yellow hair until we had broken free from the crowd, and the hunched over child came into view.
"Man.." She sighed, glancing back. "You could really suffocate in there."
Looking up, she smiled, hands on her hips. "Come on then, still lots to see!"
As she took her hand in mine once more, I was beginning to realise how different this Tsunade was compared to the one I was used to. It seemed the older she grew, the more fierce she became. As the Tsunade before me seemed to be still as confident as her adult counterpart, but much more quiet, as her hot-headed personality had not quite developed.
'Maybe Hashirama's death triggers it...' I mused, staring down at the blonde.
"And this!" She came to a stop. "Is Konoha Library!"
I raised an eyebrow at the half built building before us.
"Well, soon it will be." Tsunade grinned sheepishly. "Not quite finished yet."
"Ah, yes, I can see that." Came my blunt reply.
Instead of blowing up at my sass, she did a very un-Tsunade thing, and merely smiled, brushing aside my comment.
She really was different.
"How old are you, Ivory-san?"
"Just Ivory." I was quick to correct. Growing up on the western side of the world, I felt slightly off to be addressed with honorifics, since it wasn't something you heard everyday. "I'm fifteen."
"Oh?" Tsunade brightened. "You're much younger then you look."
I felt a slither of annoyance but quickly brushed it aside. She was still young and probably didn't realise how rude her comment was. She did, however, have a point. I always looked much older then I truly was. At age eleven I was already 5'6ft and now at age fifteen I was 5'7ft. In the four years between, I hadn't grown much. In fact I hadn't really grown at all. I remained the same with my tall, lanky physique, still lacking in certain areas.
"Well, I—Ivory." She struggled with using my name so informally. "Please call me Tsunade."
"What about Tsuna?" I pressed, stepping forward slightly.
I couldn't express how much I adored the nickname. When Hashirama first spoke it during the Fourth Great Shinobi World War, I couldn't believe how much it fit. The fiery, hot-head, violent Tsunade, aka Tsuna-chan.
It was simply the cutest.
"Tsuna?" She looked up, puzzled. "I—I guess...?"
Tsunade shook herself slightly, grinning. "Can I give you a nickname as well?"
I was slightly taken back. "...Ok?"
She lapsed into silence, index finger and thumb resting on her chin as she hummed.
At the opportunity of silence, I took a moment to regather myself. Anyone else in my stead would have long freaked out over the idea of dying and tumbling into their favourite anime, but I was a quick and rational thinker.
But even quick and rational thinkers needed to step back sometimes.
The fact that i'd never see my family again didn't bother me, good riddance. But what I was going to do next, that was what bothered me. I wanted to be a shinobi so I needed a teacher, but how? I couldn't just waltz up to someone and say "Hey! I'm Ivory, I come from another world and have knowledge of the future, and therefore would like to gain skill in the shinobi arts to prevent future tragedies, will you assist me?"
No no no! I couldn't do that!
..
..
..
Could I?
I shook my head. 'No!'
'I need to remain undercover.' I reminded myself, rather sternly.
"I GOT IT!!"
I wasn't going to lie, I almost squealed.
Clutching my chest, I stared down at the blonde in horror. "You almost gave me a heart attack!!"
Tsunade slunk away. "S—Sorry..."
I sighed, "Hit me."
Easily complying, she reeled back her fist to dish out a chakra-infused-bone-shattering-run-for-your-life punch.
"I didn't mean it literally!! W—Wa-Oh god!!""
Tsunade proceeded to punch me across Konoha. And I mean that literally this time.
The chakra infused punch was so damn strong, that it send me flying across Konoha.
'Note to self: Stop using slang.'
"MOTHER FUCKER!!!!!"
::
"R—Ry?"
I let out a groan.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't think you'd go so far!!"
Looking up slowly, my dark eyes landed on the worried figure of Tsunade Senju.
"W—Why did you h—hit me?" I wheezed, finding it hard to breath.
"You told me to."
"I—I meant it f—figuratively!"
Tsunade puffed out her cheeks. "How was I supposed to know that?"
With a groan I let my head thump back down. I could feel the prickling sensation all across my body, meaning I had no doubt badly hurt myself. I tried to stand but found myself trapped under what seemed to be wooden beams.
"Any chance I could get some help?"
"O—Oh!" She blushed, rushing to my side. "Sorry."
Within seconds she chucked aside the beams and had me standing back on my two feet. She looked down with a frown.
"You're hurt pretty bad."
"Am I? Huh never notic-"
"TSUNADE-CHAN!!!!!!!!"
My ears perked up, this voice...it's-
"TSUUUUUNAAAAADEEEEEEEE-CHAAAAAAAAAN."
I was then proceeded to be tackled to the ground.
"G—Get off me!!" I wheezed, eyes bulging as the figure atop of me squirmed, applying more pressure to my stomach, winding me.
"J—Jiraiya!?" Tsunade squawked, staring down in horror as her friend proceeded to begin strangling me.
"Don't worry Tsunade-chan! I'll protect you!" He vowed.
"Jiraiya! That's my friend you're strangling."
H—Help! C—Can't b—breath-
"Is it? I thought she was attacking you."
D—Dying-!!
Tsunade scoffed. "Of course not, she just *cough* tripped *cough*."
Jiraiya. "Oh! Well that's fine then.
L—Let-
I lifted me knee, and proceed to lunge it forward, colliding it with the future pervert's special place.
"MOTHER FLUBBER!!!"
Jiraiya jumped back, finally letting go of my throat - thank god. I let out a gasp of relief, fingers tenderly touching the markings on my neck as I wheezed.
"W—What the fuck i—is wrong with y—you!?" I croaked, glaring daggers at the child.
He jumped to his feet. "What is wrong with me? What is wrong with you!!"
"You were strangling me!!"
"Oh...whoops?"
"Nah shit!" I hissed, slowly staggering to my feet, hand still massaging my throat. "You little fucking shit, why don't you think before you start fucking attacking people, huh!?"
Tsunade was clearly shocked by my change in speech, but I didn't care. I was pissed.
"Don't get all angry at me!!" He shot back. "I was just protecting Tsunade-chan!!"
"Huh!?!" My anger spiked. "Protecting her!? Ha! Don't make me laugh, you couldn't even protect yourself!!"
A fire seemed to erupt in Jiraiya's eyes, morphing into pure rage. "You-!!"
Wait...Jiraiya?...Oh my fucking god...i'm talking to Jiraiya...THE Jiraiya!!!
I couldn't help myself, I burst out laughing, clutching my stomach for support.
W—What!?" Jiraiya snapped, face lighting up. "S—Stop laughing at me!!"
I merely smiled, wiping away a tear as I patted the top of his wild hair, tussling it. "Don't worry yourself kid."
"Kid!?" Jiraiya's eyebrow ticked in annoyance.
I watched as his eyes fixed on my torso, or more specifically, my chest.
"Humph!" He snorted. "Flatso."
..
..
..
"YOU FUCKING BRAT!!!!"
::
After my heated rage at Jiraiya, I returned my attention to Tsunade.
"Ry?"
Repeating the nickname she had dubbed me in a haste to see if I was unhurt. Her face lit up at my words.
"W—Well..." Tsunade stuttered. "Ry from Ivory, I thought you'd like it-but if you don't I can-!"
"I love it."
She looked up, confused, as I smiled.
I love it, thank you, Tsuna."
She could not have smiled brighter.

(a/n: sorry for the late update - but this book will have late updates, so i'm warning you now. Tsunade's character is far more timid in this story, simply because she is still young and has not developed the strong personality she is famous for. But she will, one day)
