Lance woke up to himself being shaken awake. His eyes, dull from sleep, looked over to see Laura. She had a glint of sadness in her eyes.

"Laura? What's going on?" He asked, shifting a bit, and seeing Keith beside him.

Laura walked over and helped Lance out of the bed, "There's been a tornado warning. What with all the storms and thunder going on last night" She sounded slightly panicked.

Lance's eyes widened a bit, "A warning. We don't know for sure if there is actually a tornado" he said, trying to reassure himself as he lifted Keith to his chest, hugging him close, "Keith, Buddy, wake up" He said, sighing as Keith woke while being lifted.

"Lance..? What..?" He asked, looking around, and giving a slight jump as a siren set off in the distance. "That's a Tornado siren..!"

Pidge lifted her head fast, looking around, "Why is there a siren?!"

There was movement, then Shiro walked over to the window and saw the darkness that loomed over them. He turned, "We need to evacuate-"

Speakers went off overhead, built into the roof of the hospital;

"Please make your way downstairs and into the built in basement. There has been a Tornado Siren, and we must evacuate. The nurses will take care of you while you are down there"

Then it shut off, leaving an uncomfortable silence in the room.

Laura shoved Lance, Keith still in his arm, towards the door, "Come on now, we must hurry"

Keith's eyes were shining with worry, Why is this so sudden..?! Can a storm this bad, really come so fast..?! He thought, holding tightly to Lance and walking with him, and the rest of the group, towards the stairs.

The stairs seemed endless. Engulfing them all in flashing lights and foot steps. But the most noticeable thing was the breath of the storm, that seemed to build outside.

Getting to the bottom of the stairs, re basement, Lance allowed Laura to lead him and his friends towards the back. They passed a group of people, some still in beds, others huddled with another.

Hunk silently prayed for their safety as they were told to sit down on the ground, in the corner where no windows were located.

Lance sat down, his left arm flopping numbly to his side, And Keith sitting down, right beside him, holding onto his numb arm. Hunk and Pidge sat beside each other, talking quietly, and Shiro talked to Laura.

Everything quieted down when the sirens got louder, and a nurse had pulled out their phone, listening to the news. The voices from the phone were calm, but the eyes of the listeners were pleading.

"A Tornado has touched. Please stay away from windows and doors"

Keith shuddered as there was a large pound, and glass breaking from a bit away.  He looked at Lance, I hope this passes soon.. please let us get out safe-
He flinched and dove forwards a bit, hugging Lance as there was a large crash from above them, the building shaking.

Pidge quickly drew out her laptop, typing fast, "The Tornado isn't in this general area. It's about a mile or two away, but still sending debris all the way over.."

Hunk looked at her, "How are you so calm right now..? We are literally under a shaking building..!"

Pidge looked at him, "We are dealing with an F5 tornado. We haven't seen one of these in-"

"3 years" Shiro interrupted, "Yeah. It concerns me how fast storms come.."

"We should have been warned sooner!" Keith said, though he was hard to hear over the howling of the Tornado, which moved closer with every moment.

"They had some difficulties with their technology" Pidge said, Matter-of-factly, "The storm damaged their weather detectors, and they were unable to deliver the news of the upcoming tornado"

Laura looked up as the building began to shake, more wildly now, "The beast has arrived"

Lance trembled, his numb arm laying limp over Keith, now, and he stayed huddled beside him.

There were screams as they all heard the building above them collapse to the side.
