Omonigho could not bear the thought of anything happening to her Mother by the hand of the man. What if he hit her? What if he tried to kill her?
She didn't know him much, but what she heard so far, was just enough to quicken her reflexes and push her out of the car. She threaded quickly but lightly as she went directly to the side of her mother.
"-I know she is here, get me my child and I would leave you or else," he banged the gate in response. Omo was sure Eghonghon stood by the other side of the gate, waiting for the man to dash through.
"This is my house and you have no right to want to enter," Omo stood aside as she watched how an angry Leslie retorted.
"Who gave you the right to own a house, all you foolish women and did I say I want to enter. Give me my daughter, you thief. That's how you kidnapped her. Don't let me do what I have in mind, give me my daughter," he sighted Omo and pushed through Leslie, falling her.
"You, didn't that spoilt child say you were his cousin. So he wants to steal from me like he stole my job that time abi, come here-" he siezed Omo's right arm, dragging her to his side and referring to Williams, Eghonghons friend.
"This is your daughter abi?, I am so sure you are that idiots girlfriend that is why Vica had to lie. So if you like yourself release my daughter or I'll take yours in exchange, shotigbo?" He stared into Omo's eyes but talked to her Mother. Her heart beat raced higher, she would have just hidden in the car, she had forgotten, the man -Uncle Jide-, had seen her before.
"If you don't let go of my daughter right this minute-" Leslie walked up to him and released her daughters arm from his grip, giving him a warning stare. Omo released the breath she had been holding, taking in the appearance of Kate's aunts husband. They was no way she would call him her Uncle, he was and looked like a beast.
"Give me my daughter."
"She is not your daughter," Omo spoke for the first time since she came in contact with him, "She is your wife's Sisters Daughter."
"O ho, she has started spreading news to her witch coven," he clapped his hands in the manner a petty wife would if her husband refused to give her money for soup. His pot belly bounced underneath his red checkered T-shirt.
"You come to my house to accuse me of Kidnap and my daughter of Witchcraft, what else? You'd accuse my son of what?-" Leslie took in air, her rage in her eyes, "-get out from the front of my building."
"Not without that useless girl," he pointed to the gate, his rage filling his eyes too. He took a step, moving closer to Leslie, his eyes showed his intent, and Omo saw they weren't pure.
"Any problem?" They looked to the left, a huge man stood, his arms across his chest. Although the day had gone dark, they could make out the facial expression of the stranger.
"Ye-" Leslie was interrupted by Uncle Jide before she could explain.
"Oga at the top, no problem, I just came to ask about my wife's niece. I was on my way." He shook as he spoke, turned round and left in the opposite direction.
"Mr. Jide, the way to your house is left, not right." It appeared that the man knew Uncle Jide very well.
"Yes, Yes, I was going to ask around for her." He lied, made a U-turn and headed towards the right direction. The stranger waited until he had gone far before he turned to the females by his side.
"Did he bother you?"
"He threatened to take my daughter if that is what you mean by bother." Leslie was angry, searching for the car keys in her pocket repeatedly, "Omo, check the ground for my keys."
"Why, if I may ask?" The stranger looked at Leslie, in deep thought, as she presumed.
"Because of the Child in my house, is there a reason you are asking?, Who are you exactly?"
"Forgive my manners, I am Richard Irogbe, I live at the house there-" he pointed to the brown story building directly beside their home, "-that makes me your neighbor."
"Wait! Are you the Honourable Richard Irogbe?" Omo had found the key and stood aside watching her Mothers countenance towards the stranger as her brain had quickly recognised him.
"If you must, yes, I am."
"Really, I heard so much about your work, you are a real nations hero, your campaign against trafficking really went all around. And the fact that you contested and trafficking yet you didn't try to force yourself in through magu-magu," Leslie almost clapped at how much she knew about him. He wasn't famous like the rest of the politicians were, he was famous because of the humanitarian work he had began to do in Nigeria.
"Thank you, very much, I am highly honoured. I saw through my window that your car hadn't moved from the same spot and came to check on you." Omonigho walked closer now, smiling at the gentleman.
"Thank you, sir," she said, handing the car keys to her mother.
"Tell them to open the gate," Leslie instructed, intent on speaking with the man, "So, how do you know that man?"
"Jide, We used to walk at the same police station, back in the days. I took over being Commissioner of Police from him," he replied getting the attention of Omonigho.
Williams had told her the man who became C.P after Uncle Jide was his Father. This was Williams Father.

Welcome to 2018.
So, we meet somebody, we see somebody. Williams Dad, hoolala.
Anyway, I got nothing to say. I promise to reply all comments, I just don't have strong data. And my other phone I use as WiFi giver has spoilt.
Enjoy your day💕
