see the light, as it comes down from the sky. we could be two stars up there dancing just as bright. but it's late and we're tired so we don't have to perform tonight. let's watch their routine, just you and me.

see the light, as it comes down from the moon: casting shadows, casting silver, casting dreams into your room. don't worry, darling, it won't go anywhere soon, and neither will i. at least not tonight. 

hear your breath, as we sleep into the dark, getting oxygen we need for us to beat our hearts. made of iron and elements, just the same as stars. scientific miracles, it's amazing we can keep a pulse.

hear the earth sigh in relief as we touch the ground. we were dancing in the sky with no intent of coming down. because we know that when we're up there together we're safe and sound. and i don't know how to dance, but for you i'd take that chance.

because the world is semi-permanent. we are creatures of a finite time. the world is semi-permanent. while we're here we might as well learn how to fly.

i just wanna find the sky with you; an infinity of two.

i wrote this song a year ago about being nervous and scared about losing my best friends and moving on to high school and growing up. then it was called "semi-permanent". now i come back and it has a completely different, beautiful meaning. this time i call it "infinity"
