Bluedancer peered into the dark cave where Moss was being kept. She knew that if they had gotten, Vortex for example, she would not have hesitated to kill him. But Moss had played such a minor role in killing her, she wasn't sure what he deserved. Should she let him go? As Bluedancer mulled this over, there came a shout from outside. She sprung up and sprinted for the entrance.

The NightWing guards had actually fallen asleep during their watch. Each of them was angry and ready to take it out on the fat, slow SeaWing and the average SkyWing. Problem was, they'd missed a couple very important details. One, Ripple was actually quite slim and was nowhere close to being slow. Two, Spark wasn't just a SkyWing, he was probably the fastest dragon in the world. And three, they were about to get completely confused. The three guards decided to get the SkyWing first. He sped out of the way and two guards rammed heads. "Hey!" they yelled at each other. Ripple watched the third head for him and shot downward, then back up. The guard nearly went straight into the ground. All three, enraged, shot after the two dragons and Ripple and Spark sped off, confusing and irritating them as they went.

Bluedancer had reached the entrance and was ready to stop the guards from chasing Ripple and Spark around pointlessly. But she couldn't. It was so...entrancing. So entrancing that by the time she snapped out of it, she was lying on the ground. She tried to get back up, but someone slammed her back down. "What the?" she mumbled, now aware that her snout was being held shut. And just her luck, it happened to be Cobra. "Keep still," he growled. Hope was off on the other side, looking lost. Bluedancer was able to get up, however, and she and Cobra began to fight.

Mango had nearly reached the entrance when she saw Bluedancer being shoved backwards by Cobra. Good. Beside her, Vortex reached in and grabbed Moss. She helped him pull Moss up and out of the pit. "What the?" he muttered, dazed. "We need to go!" Mango yelled and they sprinted toward the Great Ice Cliff.

On the other side of camp, a wave of SandWings had arrived and Moon was seriously beginning to get irked off. Couldn't Bluedancer have brought more dragons? And why had she needed to kidnap that MudWing? She smacked one in the face only to realize it was Qibli. "What are you doing?" he demanded. "Trying to kill some dragons who murdered someone," Moon shot back. "They were trying to bring their best friend back," Qibli protested. "What?" Moon said. "I didn't know that." Qibli sighed. "Just think about it, okay?" he told her and flew off. Confused and upset, Moon left the battle and sat down to think.

Cobra backflipped out of Bluedancer's range, while Mango, Moss, and Vortex hurried by. Vortex stopped and threw Cobra his armor and Sword from the earlier battle with Bluedancer. Cobra sidestepped a attack and threw on his armor. He passed Moon and fired a perseverance strand at Bluedancer. Vortex lunged at Bluedancer from the back, but she sidestepped. Vortex did a jump off of his sword and looked up. The MudWings were descending.
