Glorybringer
A/N: I need requests because I have no ideas right now. Please give me ideas.
I flew through the rainforest, as fast as my wings could carry me. The dark and stormy night didn't help. It felt like an obvious bad omen.
I heard a laugh from behind me and my fear grew. I accelerated my speed, but I would never escape.
I was cornered in a grove of trees. In front of me was Morrowseer. He lunged for my throat, and I screamed, but as echoed through the forest, I knew no one would hear.
It was an empty forest tonight.
"Worthless RainWing!" Morrowseer spat. "You'd never be good enough to be in the prophecy. I might as well kill you now. You've ruined enough."
I screamed again. The words I had heard before, under the mountain, meant much more to me than I let show. My friends were, by definition, perfect for the prophecy, destined to be heroes. Clay and his kindness and bravery, Tsunami and her confidence and strength, Starflight and his knowledge, and Sunny with her faith and desire to make peace.
But I wasn't in it. "Lazy!" Morrowseer continued. "Coward! No one cares if you die, do they? You're all alone." I'm all alone.
But that can't be true.
The dragons I was thinking about a few seconds ago cared. Deathbringer, the annoying, smug NightWing cared. Fatespeaker cared, and Mangrove cared. I didn't remember what happened exactly with those dragons, but Morrowseer was lying. He must have seen in my eyes that I knew. He stabbed me with his sharp claws, and then left me. I was confused for a second.
And then Deathbringer came into the clearing. Relief filled my panicked mind. I reached up to brush wings with him. I needed to be comforted.
And then he grabbed my dying body, and snapped my neck.
I jolted awake with a scream. A split second later, Deathbringer came rushing in. "Glory?" He asked, putting a wing around me. "DON'T TOUCH ME!" I screamed. The dream came rushing back to my head, ripping my mind to pieces.
He looked hurt. "Glory..." I started to cry, and spilled every little detail at what had awoken me. When I was done, Deathbringer said, "I would never do that." I glanced at him, and he put his wing properly around me. "I would never do that." He said again, and now I believed every word.
"I love you." I whispered, the sentence flowing from my mouth so easily, it felt like I had said it a million times before. It wasn't something I wanted to admit. I'd never been a dragon like that. But I loved Deathbringer. He was always there for me.
He pulled me to my feet. "Come on, Glory." He led me outside.
"You've never seen anything like this before." He whispered. I glanced at the sky as the sun hit the horizon, and orange light was spread everywhere. I gasped.
Deathbringer suddenly grabbed me and pulled me into a passionate kiss. My eyes closed, and I blushed, kissing him back. My heart fluttered like a million butterflies.
"Deathbringer," I said once he released me. "Yes?" He said, giving me a smirk.
"That was beautiful."
"The kiss or the sunrise?"
"Both."
