Always There
I am never alone.
Say it out loud.
I am never alone.
I am never alone!
I am NEVER alone!
I AM NEVER ALONE!

These paintings bring me to tears every time. Whew.
There was a time when I was a small child, probably around five years old, and my family and I had gone to Wal-Mart to get groceries for the week. We were waiting in the check out lane until we realized that we could just go find one that was empty or had a shorter waiting line, so we all left that lane - well, everyone except me. I was far too distracted by a miniature Sketch-n-Etch toy on the shelf to realize that my family had left me, and being one of six kids, it also took my parents a while to realize that I was missing from the group.
Once I finally took my focus off of the toy and noticed I didn't recognize anyone around me, I immediately did what any other five year old would do; I cried. I was utterly terrified! I was all alone in a huge place, what the poop was I supposed to do?
Finally, a worker there noticed me, asked me what's wrong, and eventually ended up announcing my parents' names over the intercom in the store.
They found me.
*sigh of relief*
But the most memorable thing about it all?
They were searching for me the entire time.
Guys, God is searching for you, and just like my parents, He won't stop until He finds you and gets you back into the safety of His arms. He loves you and cares about you.
If you're stuck in the cycle of being easily distracted by worldly possessions and desires and are slipping out of your sight of Jesus , just remember that you are never too far gone, too far away that Jesus won't find you, and you will always be welcome back into His arms.
And you are never alone, never too far lost to change who you are and come running back to Jesus. He's been searching for you this whole time.
Come home.
