"ahjumma, you should ask your son to get things for you next time. your back injury is still healing." wonwoo said as he signed the medical prescription for his patient.
"i'm really sorry, doctor. i'll keep that in my mind."
wonwoo smiles, assuring her and "you still look young and pretty. you should take care of your health and date many rich guys."
"aigoo doctor.. you're so good at making jokes." the ahjumma laughed. they talked for awhile before wonwoo told the nurse to escort the patient outside for her meds. while waiting for his next schedule, wonwoo did some research for his next case. suddenly, he got a notification.
future wife
hey are you free for lunch
wonwoo
not really
because i have to get ready for a surgery
i'm reaallyy sorry
future wife
no no, its okay!
its just my dad keep telling me to
send you some foods
you know how he is..
so i'll leave the foods at the counter ok?
wonwoo
no no wait for me at the counter
i'll be real quick
wonwoo keep the phone and fix his hair a little bit. an attempt to look the best in front of chaerin. "handsome," he said to the mirror and walked out of his office.
"hi," wonwoo startled her by suddenly whispered into her ears. chaerin almost elbowed him out of shock.
"whoa whoa relax," wonwoo defend himself. damn again, i almost forgot she know boxing.
"why did you startled me like that?" chaerin sighed. now seeing him in his long white coat, it really makes him looks like a whole different person. but still a dork though.
"sorryyyy," wonwoo showed her a toothy smile. then, chaerin quickly gave him the lunch box from his dad's cafe. "here, make sure that you eat this, okay?"
"whoaaaa foods and a pretty girl, i couldn't ask for more."
"seriously..." chaerin scoffed. he's so cheesy, and such a sweet talker. gosh. she's not complaining though. "anyway, i'm going first. see you later,"
"i'm sorry, if i could reschedule this surgery i would." wonwoo regretted.
"hey no, seriously its okay! besides i'm the one who come without telling you first!" chaerin nervously said. well your job is to save life, and i'm totally fine and literally so proud of you.
wonwoo patted her head. "thank you for understanding. see you later,"
chaerin's cheeks turned pink as he smiles like that in front of her. she shyly nods and just watch him disappear into his office. sometimes he can be sooo cool. chaerin thought.
as she's walking out, suddenly someone called her. chaerin turn around to see a female doctor is looking at her. "did you call me?"
"are you wonwoo's future wife?" the lady asked. from her tag, chaerin knows that her name is moran lee.
"yes." she answered.
"i need to talk to you,"
chaerin followed the taller female to the garden outside and moran started to speak, without wasting any time. "i love wonwoo."
"excuse me?"
"i've known wonwoo since we were in medical school and he knows i love him. we were in a good relationship before you come and ruin it." moran said. "let him go,"
"this gonna sound completely horrible but no. i can't let wonwoo go no matter how much you love him." chaerin said.
"now you're saying you gonna build your own happiness in another woman's tears?"
"miss, i'll do my best to translate this without hurting your feelings but from what i understand, he seems to see you as 'only a friend.' and this is the first time i ever know you. i guess," chaerin explained.
"i knew him earlier than you and you can't take him from me!"
"i don't take anything from you. well unless he's yours. and i'm pretty sure that he's not." chaerin raised her brow. as she inherit this temper from her dad, she started to boil right now but she try to control it.
"you don't suit him at all, can't you see that?? i've been taking care and love him ever since and you can't take him away from me like that." moran starts to lose her mind. somehow, chaerin pitied her. she sighed.
"miss, if that one person that you love can't love you back when you love him this much, then he don't deserve you. you're a lot more than this, please. don't lower yourself. you're a doctor and i believe you're a great person."
moran couldn't conceal her feelings and slowly tears fell over her cheeks. she covered her face and cry her heart out there.
"for eight years! eight years i've been trying to make him love me and i terribly failed that. i love him so much. it hurts." she sobbed. "i just wanted to be loved by him, i don't want anything else."
seeing a woman cried like that, she couldnt help but to feel bad. chaerin sit down besides her and gently patted her back. i'm sorry. i'm sorry that i can't do anything to make you feels better. but i hope you'll be more happier. and i hope you know that your happiness is not defined by a man.

since both of them were busy all day, chaerin and wonwoo only got tonight to see the venue for their reception night.
"we'll get married at the church, only family and closed friends were invited and after two days, we'll be here for the ceremony. later, we will fly to bangkok." wonwoo said as they walk around the ballroom in that hotel.
"this venue look so magical, its like an imagination. a place where kids dream. unreal," chaerin commented, completely ignoring whatever wonwoo said just now.
"its good to know that you like it."
"like??? i love it!" chaerin exclaimed. "i've always dream a garden-like wedding ceremony but this is even better. you know, like neverland."
"but you probably never imagined to get a prince charming like me," wonwoo smirked.
"wow ohmygod, is that butterfly??" without responding, chaerin leave him and go to the other side of the ballroom.
"nice one."
