My Problem (prinxiety)

Here's the start of a prinxiety fanfic I started and stopped. I know it's usually a gumbal/marshal thing, but it works here too. It should have been a one shot in the first place. I still like this first chapter a lot.

*note*
When Anxiety sings it looks like this!
And when Princey sings it looks like this!
Together it looks like this!

Anxiety POV
"Really! You just had to screw things up again!" Princey yells at me.

Yeah, I guess I kind of did something wrong again. I didn't want to hurt Thomas! But I was so worried that it wouldn't go well, I talked him out of it. Now everyone (even Thomas) is mad at me for screwing up Thomas's big chance to find love.

"Thomas was indeed ready to ask that gentleman out," Logic chimes in, he seems disappointed.

"Ah Man!" Morality whines "I really wanted today to be the day."

I look at the ground in shame, I guess everyone hates me. It's not like they didn't before, but any hope of changing that is gone. Sometimes I used to think that maybe we could be friends, that someone would actually want me. What a stupid thought. No one can love me, I'm me. I'm the bad guy in every Disney movie. I'm the villain that needs to be taken down. That's all I will ever be.

"I guess your proud of yourself aren't you?" Princey keeps pushing.

Usually the hurtful things he says doesn't visibly bother me, at least not until later... But today I can't stand to wait until when I'm alone. My emotions can't wait.

"Can't you do anything right?" Princey huffs, crossing his arms. With that, I finally break.

"Easy for you to say! Mr. Perfect!" I scream, making everyone go silent. "Everyone actually loves you! Everything you do is good, you never make a mistake. I just have to be the bad guy." He looks at me for a moment, confused, then turns away. I was trying to be sarcastic, but clearly Morality didn't really understand.

"Now Anxiety," Morality soothes "everyone makes mistakes."

"Not Prince Charming!" I retort, fire in my eyes. "Think about it, technically we're all the same person. Maybe I'm just always the flaws." Logic looks at me puzzled, thinking it over.

"So you're proposing that you take up almost all of Thomas' flaws, making you purely a mistake. While the rest of us have mostly qualities." He says thoughtfully. I nod slowly, I mean I guess that makes sense.

"Come on Anx. you have to be good at something!" Morality encourage's. "I think you're great at art and music and thinking deep thoughts." I roll my eyes, knowing he's just lying.

"I think you are very successful in your purpose." Logic chimes in, "Sure we see your negativity as a bad thing, but at the end of the day it does help Thomas some times..."

I roll my eyes again and shrink more into my sweater, hoping to disappear.
"Look, I get you're trying to be nice and all, but save your praise for Prince Charming like usual okay?" I sigh. They all look sad, they can't think of anything to say that can prove I'm not just a total failure, at least that's what I thought.

"I know!" Morality suddenly yells, his finger in the air like he has made a discovery. "I know one little grumpy emo that can sing!" Everyone looks surprised, they turn to look at me.

"No I don't! Shut up!" I bury my head into my lap, pulling my knees close to my chest.

"Actually," Logic says, sounding amused, "since Patten and I are mediocre, at best, it only makes sense that you would have a singing talent, like Roman, to form Thomas' singing talent."

"He's even better than Princey! I've heard him." Morality squeals in excitement.

"That was an accident," I grown, wishing to sink down and escape back to my room in the mindscape, but I know it's too late know. "And you weren't supposed to tell anyone!"

"They had to find out eventually." He giggles "can't you just sing a little something, to prove it?" He seems so hopeful. I look up to see he is staring at me with big puppy eyes.

"I really am awful..." I say quietly.

"Just show us." He whispers, but loud enough for all of us to hear.

"Fine." I sigh, summoning out my guitar and beginning to play, dreading the beat when I come in.

"Ha, like you could be better than me." Princey laughs.

Just then, I begin.

La da da da da
I'm gonna bury you in the ground.
La da da da da
I'm gonna bury you with my sound.
I'm gonna drink the red, from your pretty pink face
I'm gonna...

"Are you done yet?" Princey interrupts harshly.

"Well I'm tired of feeling guilty for this!" I scream back, noticing how entranced the rest are in the music.

Is that what people really think about me?
That I'm a god above all of you.

Sorry I don't treat you like you're perfect, like all your little loyal subjects do!

He turns towards me, softening slightly.

Sorry if I seem malicious,
But I can sympathize with you.
I know that it hurts when you're lonely,
But I can't take that burden from you.

So, I'm just your problem

Well, you're your own problem.

He roll's his eyes at me and turns away again.

It's like I'm not even a person,
Am I?

I'm just your problem.

I/now
You wear this defensive attitude.

He turns again, saying it with rage.

I
Shouldn't have to prove anything to you.
I'm sorry that I exist, I forgot what landed me on your black list

He seems to soften, but only a little.

Well, I will always be here,
but it's not my battle to save you from you.

He steps closer and I do the same, we start to sing loudly, yelling in each other's faces.

So/but
Why do I want to?/yes I still want to
Why do I want to?/oh I still want to.
I don't have a clue/but I must stand and watch
(I'm asking you/we will survive!)
Why do I want to/but I still want to

I guess that's (I guess) why I wanna bury you in the ground

Because I care!

And why,
You wanna bury me with your sound

We are both exhausted now, ending the fight. Our chests touch and we begin to lean on each other, our foreheads connecting.

I'm sorry that it's this way,

But I don't know what else to say,

And I promise you,
You could never push me away

Cause/And I
Cannot wait for you to say,
I'm just your problem/when you say

I pull away quickly and finish the song on my guitar. The group that had been watching us seemed shocked. They just stared at me, then Princey, then back to me.

"I told you I'm not very good." I mumble before sinking away back to the mindscape.
