Sleepovers & Shenanigans
Awful title, I know, but it addresses Adley's daddy issues and living accommodations, so yeah.
Ages:
Jason: 13
Aaron: 12
Vivi: 13
Adley: 14
Takes place in the middle of the school year, which explains (coughcoughAaroncoughcough)some people's age differences. Narrated by Vivi. Tata!

To call it Adley's mom's apartment would be a stretch of the imagination. A fib. Basically, a lie. Sure, his mom might have lived in it occasionally, and, yes, she paid for it, but Adley lived in it, cooked and cleaned in it, and spent basically his whole life there. It was small, with only three rooms (not including the bathroom, of course). A living room, bedroom and a kitchen. But more of that later. Where I want to begin, I was walking into the lobby. Or, more accurately, skipping. Everyone knew Adley, and therefore knew me, so I was constantly getting shouts of, "Hey, Tulip, how's you dad doing?" or "I saw the boys a second ago. Adley having another sleepover?" I waved at everyone I knew, occasionally answering question and having short conversations until I reached the elevator. When I was finally inside, I clicked the "4" button and waved until the doors closed. The elevator dinged softly as it made its way up the shaft, and I smiled, knowing how excited the boys would be when I got there. Just as I predicted, as soon as the elevator doors opened, I made my way down the hallway and opened the apartment door (Adley hardly ever kept it locked) and, quite suddenly, echoes of "VIVI'S HERE!" could be heard down the hallway. I shushed them and picked up Sprinkles, Adley's dachshund, and shut the door, tossing my purple duffel bag on the couch. Aaron bounded up to me, a can of Pringles and a piece of paper in his hand.
"Yo, Vivi, could you sign this petition for 'No tests on Mondays?' Mr. Wenkinshire says if I can get a certain amount of people to sign it, and then write an argumentative essay about it, no more tests on Mondays!"
"What's your problem with tests on Mondays?" Jason asked, catching up with his better half.
"Okay, I have this whole conspiracy theory, right?"
"AARON, YOU BETTER NOT HAVE LET SPRINKLES EAT PRINGLES AGAIN!" Aaron stopped mid-sentence, shoving the can of Pringles into Jason's arms and disappearing into the kitchen. Probably to escape Adley, and also get the whipped-cream. I smiled and put Sprinkles on the floor, happy to be back in the insanity of it all.
##### Nope. Not saying it. *teacups rain from sky* NOTAGAIN!!!#####
I settled onto the couch as the movie started, not even caring that we were four seventh graders watching a Disney movie. We were best friends, and it was Hercules, so I think we had a right. The opening started, and Aaron immediately stood up to sing along to "Gospel Truth," which, I'm proud to say, Adley and I videotaped. Slowly but surely, we stopped paying attention to the movie, and more attention to Aaron and Jason's heated game of Uno.
"Ha! Red four! Beat that, sucka! I'm gonna win!" (Jason)
"Pffft, yeah right!" (Aaron)
"Why do they call it "Uno?" I mean, it's not like you can play it by yourself!" (Adley)
"Hey! Jason, you cheater!" (Me)
#####*grumbling**looks up* Oh, it's you again. The author wants me to tell you she's skipping ahead to night, lazy little- *teacups rain from sky* SORRY, I'M SORRY!#####
I was this close to falling asleep when it happened. That's right folks. Jason. It kinda happened like this. We were asleep on the fold-out couch, all four of us, when Jay thought it would be funny to stand up, scream "IT'S THE CIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRCLE OF LIIIIIIIIIFE," and fall on top of us. This provoked three different types of reactions.
"JASON, I SWEAR!" (Me)
"Sprinkles, wow, when did you gain so much weight?" (Adley)
"BUT MR SPIDER, I'M LACTOSE INTOLERANT!" (Aaron, although he was kind of out of it) Then, even better, Aaron decided to sit up, look at Jason and say, "Oh. I thought you were a cow," before falling back asleep.
#####*dragging plywood around* Look, if your going to keep stalking me, my name is Christi, nice to meet you. *I think you can guess* *that's right* *teacups* AW, C'MON!#####
"SHIMMIE SHOM CRICKET BOMB!" Aaron shouted little after midnight.
"What?"
"Mr. Wenkinshire says we have to write a narrative about Sherlock Holmes, and that's the villains new name!"
Silence.
"Dude, forgot about tests on Mondays, what's your problem with Mr. Wenkinshire?"
##### *making lean-to* Alright, stop sitting around there and help me- *cue teacups* Why am I even surprised#####
After being awoken by almost all the guys, I figured it was time for revenge. I slowly picked up the mattress slowly, making sure the boys didn't wake up. Tilt, tilt, tilt, tilt... DROP!
"AND NOW YOU'RE LYIN' ON THE COLD, HARD GROUND! OH!"
Me: That's it for now!
Christi: Byesies!
Me: Good luck, young apprentice.
Christi: Buh-bye!
Me: Later!
Christi: LEAVE!
