Thick dust laid over the wooden furnitures. Spiderwebs hung on the corners. The curtains were brittle- so brittle, that once touched, they crumble to dust.
"Lumos." a hooded woman whispered. Her pale green eyes were lit up by the light emitting from her wandtip.
Clearly this place has been abandoned for quite awhile. Though that would be an understatement.
She was expecting someone.
A faint 'pop' was heard. Someone had apparated here.
Infront of the woman now stood a familiar wizard, his once warm brown eyes were now glaring coldly at her. His lips were tightly pursed as if he regretted his decision to come.
"Newt." the woman nodded. Her heart felt that it was about to jump out of her chest any moment now.
"Queenie."
He smirked.
"Long time no see. How's Tina?"
Newt said the name with remorse- he could not care less about Tina.
"That's the point why I asked you to meet me. She- she's depressed." Queenie nervously replied.
"And what do I have anything to do with this?"
"Because, Newt, the reason she's in this state is you." Queenie said hopefully, hoping to trigger some emotion in him.
"Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn. Now, you promised me...other news." Newt said, now with a hint of threat in his voice.
Queenie could detect his fumbling hands. He had one of his creatures up his sleeve. She had to advance with caution.
She took a deep breath.
"Well- um. Theseus's planning to raid your hideout this weekend. Someone from your side let slip to us- well, about your location."
Newt stared at her, trying to decide if she was honest or lying.
"Please-"
"I know." Newt snapped at her. "Now quiet- I'm trying to thing who let slip."
It couldn't be Leta or Credence. They never went out since the incident in Paris. Newt had long suspected Krall- he thinks his loyalty is starting to waver.
"I got it. Thank you, Queenie." Newt said, not feeling thankful at all. "This was a joyous reunion. I'll see you-"
"Wait, Newt!" Queenie interjected.
"Yes?" he raised his eyebrows at her.
She hesitated a moment, opening her mouth as if to say something.
"Never mind." she sighed. "I'll see you soon."
Newt turned his back, walked and prepared to disapparate.
"STUPEFY!"
"PROTEGO!"
The spell rebounded and nearly hit Queenie. Newt looked back, narrowing his eyes at her.
"I knew it. You think you could hex me, you witch?" Newt whispered.
"PETRIFICUS TOTALUS." Newt cried out so fast that Queenie couldn't react.
"Grindelwald will be pleased."
Newt levitated Queenie with a flick of his wand, and disapparated.

"Jacob!" Tina called.
"Yes?" Jacob yelled back from the kitchen, taking care of food Queenie had told him to cook before she left.
"Where'd Queenie go?"
"U-Um.." Jacob nervously stammered as Tina unbuttoned her black travelling coat.
"I said, where is my sister?" Tina asked, now sternly.
"She left...to..um...get bread?" Jacob answered, grimacing at his terrible made up lie.
"Jacob."
He looked up at Tina.
"She went to talk to Newt, didn't she?" Tina asked, holding her breath.
She sincerely hoped Queenie wasn't.
God knew how dangerous he was, especially after he joined Grindelwald.
"Maybe..maybe not" Jacob replied. He went back to focusing on his cooking, refusing to answer Tina's questions any more.
Tina sighed.
Of course.
She put her coat back on no longer has she taken it off, then went out the door.
There was no trusting Newt alone with her sister anymore. He could hurt her as much as he had hurt Tina.

As soon as he stepped into the manor, Leta ran and hugged him. Newt pat her hair.
"Hey. We have a guest."
He pointed up in the air, where shortly after, a petrified Queenie floated.
"I'll get Grindelwald." Leta replied after looking at the floating figure with mild interest.
"Tell him to meet me in the infirmary in about an hour or so. I have other matters to tend to."
Newt waved his wand and Queenie disappeared, now lying in one of the infirmary beds.
He then went to his quarters and opened his briefcase, going inside to the world he loved.

This wasn't expected of him.
Newt...he joined Grindelwald.
Dumbledore looked out at the bridge of Hogwarts, a hundred thoughts swirling in and out of his head.
This might be the end of him.
Grindelwald steps closer to victory.
The Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher sighed and rubbed his temples. He really thought Newt was going against Grindelwald.
He turned away from the window, looking around the office. A pensieve lay on his desk.
Dumbledore closed his eyes, drew his wand, and put the tip to his temple, drawing out a smoky, but not gaseous, substance. He put it in the pensieve.
An image immediately shimmered on the surface of the pensieve, showing his last conversation with Newt Scamander.
"You know why I like you, Newt?
You do not seek power;
you only ask yourself if it is right."
He remembered speaking these words to Newt. Oh, how that seemed a long time ago.
The man closed his eyes once more, and put the pensieve away.
It's time.
He has to fight Grindelwald, no matter the blood pledge he had taken years ago, when he and Grindelwald's friendship was still very strong.
For the greater good of the wizarding world.
