Previously:

Walking inside I knocked over a vase and some pictures that stood at the entry of the living room.

"Alice?" I heard Zach's voice from the kitchen. His voice was followed by footsteps comming my way but they where starting to fade just like my vision was fading.

"Hey I was wond... Alice? Oh god what happend to you?" I suddenly saw his face in front of me.

"Vam... vamp..." I couldn't even finish my sentence before I felt my legs give away and darkness consume me. The last thing I felt were cold arms catching me before I could fall on the ground.

Chapter 4:

I caught her before she could fall to the ground. Almost emediatly my sleeve, the one from which my arm was around het shoulders, was soaked in het blood. The smell of fresh blood intense. Normaly I should go crazy from such a strong smell but for some reason it didn't bother me. Not thinking about it any longer, I turn her head and take a look at her neck, where the blood seems to come from. There's a big bleeding gash with two wholes in the middle, I instantly recognize them as a vampire bite. She must have ripped it of while it was sucking her blood. My eyes widen when I relize I don't know how werewolves react to the venom a vampire bite posseses. Maybe she'll die just because of that. I quickly took off my shirt, thinking of all my options, and putting pressure on her neck with my shirt to try and stop the bleeding. I got to get her to a doctor. I turn to look at a small gap in the blinds that allows me to see the sun shining outside. I'll burn if I go out there. My gaze then shifts back to Alice who's still unconcious in my arms. But if I don't she'll die. Before I could think about it twice, I had already picked her up and ran outside as fast as i could.

The sun burned my skin as I ran through the streets. The only thing on my mind as I push myselve to go faster is saving Alice. Seconds later I ran into the doctors office. I placed Alice on the examination table before shutting all the blinds in record speed and stopping in front of a startled doctor.

"She needs help." Is all I say through gritted teeth from the pain the burns are causing. The doctor moved away from me holding a stake infront of himselve as protection.

"You're a vampire." Wow is this the best he can say?

"Yes now shut up and help her, she's dying." I yell at him pointing at Alice.

"Why would I help your kind?" He asks taking another step away from me.

"She's not. She's the person who protects you and all the other villagers here from my kind and she got hurt doing just that. Now I'm protecting her so if you want to continue living I suggest you shut up and help her." I threaten. I wasn't actualy going to kill him, I just needed him to save Alice. It worked because the doctor rushed to her side and started examinating her.

"Good god. What happend to her?" He asked taking out several tools.

"I don't know. She came home like that and collapsed. I think a vampire bit her but got ripped of by her or someone else." the doctor nodded and started working while I leaned against the cold wall trying to sooth my burning skin.

"Why risk your live for her." The doctor asked while still working on her.

"She was nice enough to take me in, it's the least I could do." I paused for a moment. Before continuing.

"Don't tell anyone I live with her though she'll kill me after she made me eat my own balls." The doctor chuckled softly at that.

"Still though, she's bleeding really badly. How can you keep from killing her? Even when you're weakened by the sun?"

"You could say I'm a vegetarian. I don't drink human blood."

"But still. It's in your nature to do so. It's like you have this favorite candy but decided to stop eating it. Still when it's infront of you, you want to eat it."

"I don't get that feeling." The doctor put the last bandage on her and turned around. He walked to the other side of the table and picked up his surgical knife. He just poked it in his finger just enough to draw a drop of blood. The smell instantly hit me and I had to hold on to something not to run over to him and drain him from all his blood.

"You do get that feeling. She's just special to you." He says wiping away the blood and throwing it away in a diffrent room. I calmed down a bit and let go when I didn't feel the urge to kill him anymore. My gaze fell back on Alice. Is he right?

"I never thought about it like that." Now that I think about it, he is kind of right. I protected her from my friend when she was unconcious, I left them behind to follow her and try and become friends, I even risked my live for her. I don't feel tempted to drink her blood, don't get me wrong it smells delicious, just not to drink it's more like the smell of a beautifull field full of roses. I even have to admit the way she pinned me to the wall only wearing a shirt got me kinda excited. Ontop of that she's the most beautifull creature I've ever seen.

"She'll wake up in a couple of minutes." The doctor says pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Will she be alright?" I asked still looking at her.

"She'll have to take it easy, eat and drink alot and try to keep her head and neck still. But she'll be fine."

"Thank you." He took some bottle from his cabinet and turned back towards me.

"Why don't you sit down, I'll take care of your burns." I look down at my body to see the burns still pretty bad. Burns are the only thing vampires have difficulty healing from.

"Why would you help me?"

"You saved our protector. Indirectly you saved us all. The least I can do is make you feel comfortable." I smiled at him.

"Thank you."

"Yeah yeah, now sit down."
