Wrath
There is a creature that lives under my bed. It's covered in thick and black fur from head to toe. When something makes him angry, he bares his teeth and tries to snap at me. I've named the creature Wrath, a fitting name for a thing so vile.
I feed Wrath morsels of expired bread nearly every day. Though his favourite food to eat is chocolate. My parents say to stop feeding him but it's hard not to. He is my only friend and sometimes sings me to sleep. Most of the words don't make any sense but I find them calming nonetheless.
Wrath always begs me to take him with me to school. There are days where I manage to sneak past him and others when he slips silently into my backpack. People at my school avoid me because of Wrath. They say that he's cruel and ugly.
It's getting harder to stop Wrath from following me around. It feels as though he has become a part of me. I want to tell him that he has overstayed his welcome but I don't know where to start.
Maybe I'll stop placing pieces of chocolate at the foot of my bed. Perhaps that will get him to leave.
It has been days since Wrath has made an appearance. Sometimes I miss him but I know it's for the best that he's gone.
