Prolouge
Short, uneven gasps of breath.
Sharp snaps of branches.
Inaudible wimpers of pain.
And through it all, a feral growl of ferocity, untamed, untouched, by humanity.
Laurel let out a moan as her palm landed on a sharp rock. She looked up at the moon-illuminating the night with its silver glow-almost feeling something of an emotion in the light as if it was watching, but shook her head to clear it of that delusion. She spared a glance behind her, red eyes bored into her shaking form, and then she sprang forward.
She had to run.
She couldn't let it get her.
Not after all their sacrifices.

Okay, so, do you want to see more? This is the preview for a story I wrote over the summer. It already has thousands of words, and I quit because I couldn't figure out a prochecy, and tried working without one, but realized that my characters can't come to awesome revelations without linking them to the prophecy. Now, you can thank FishyGirl for writing one that will-hopefully-blow you away.
If you ever have problems writing one, I suggest asking her. She has a book full of procphecies, covers, and story ideas. They are all really good. She also made the cover, FYI. So I wanted to give her credit right away, before I even publish the book. She is really good at prophecies, and gave me a perfect one in like 10 minutes. (Okay, maybe an hour or two, but if you count time in between my checking for messages and stuff, it was at most 30 minutes on her part)
Anyways, if you want to hear more, plz comment. This is the scene for the climax of the book. No spoilers, but I really wanted to do a Prolouge worthy of R.L. Stine's Fear Street series, (Which I don't own. Nor do I own PJO, Norse Mythology, or the Mythos Academy Series).
