'What?' He laughed, and I stared at him blankly in reply.

'A...a ring?' I stuttered, looking up at him slowly, but the first sight I saw wasn't his face; but rather, Yuta, who was standing behind him, and had now begun to slowly walk away. My eyes remained on him as Jaehyun said a lot of words which I didn't really hear properly. It felt weird, but more than paying attention to Jaehyun, it felt more important to go after Yuta, who was now wandering away slowly from the group.

'I..I have to go...' I mumbled, shoving the box in Jaehyun's hands and walking after Yuta; weirdly, I didn't feel the slightest guilt in leaving Jaehyun behind with the ring packed with his feelings. It just felt worse letting Yuta leave like that.

'Ya, Yuta!' I shouted. 'Wait!'

He suddenly stopped.

I walked quickly to his side, and slowly, the two of us started walking further and further away from the group.

'Yeah?' He asked me. 'What is it?'

I looked up at his slightly blank face; it showed hardly any emotion, except for the fact that his eyes seemed... different? Lacking the comfort that they usually always had, and containing something else that I didn't really recognise.

'Well, I...' I started, not knowing what to say. 'Nothing really?'

I noticed his mouth widen to a smile, but it was more like a sad smile than anything else.

'Why'd you just leave like that?' I finally asked; he glanced at me for a second, and then smiled slightly and looked away.

'No reason. Why'd you come after me?'

'Huh?' I stuttered, suddenly stopping. This was something that I didn't really know the answer to myself.

He turned around, and was standing a distance away from me.

'Wae?' He repeated. 'Why'd you come after me?'

'I...um...' I started, looking around for an answer. 'Well, I...'

'You...what?' He said, starting to walk towards me. I stayed rooted to the spot, and he continued approaching me till he was right in front of me. I stared at him with my usual wide eyes, looking straight into those brown eyes of his. Before I knew it, he had reached down to my face level and his soft lips were against mine. That moment, I knew that for that one moment, I would leave everything behind. Everything.

He wrapped his arms around my waist, and pulled me closer to him, pressing our lips closer still; eyes closed,
I felt his soft hair brush against my forehead.

'Jaehyun...' I heard a voice in my head say, and my eyes snapped open. Jaehyun. I couldn't betray Jaehyun like this. I suddenly backed away from Yuta, who looked slightly confused and a bit hurt at this point.

'Yuta, I...I couldn't..' I mumbled, looking away. He scoffed lightly, laughing a bit, and turning around, I started to walk back towards the group. Yet all I could remember was how his lips felt on mine; he was my first kiss, and I would remember this forever.

'Hey~' I heard his voice ring out from behind me, and I drew to a slow stop, my heart thumping in my ears and my mind blurry and confused. I suddenly felt his arms around me and his jaw on my shoulder.

'Is it Jaehyun?' He whispered in my ear. I gulped, eventually nodding slowly.

'I..can't...won't...hurt him.' I finally said. 'No matter what.'

Yuta unwrapped his arms from around me and took a step back.

'We should go back now.' I heard him say, and I turned to him, the only thing in my head being one question; what would Jaehyun think about me just walking off when he literally proposed to me?

'Don't worry about Jaehyun.' Yuta's voice rang out, almost as if he had just read my thoughts. 'I'll tell him that you were worried because I just walked off like that.'

'Hm..' I mumbled, not fully convinced. It just didn't really seem convincing enough; but we didn't really have another choice, I guess. I finally decided that I couldn't really face Jaehyun this time; I walked out of the airport into the open air and sun, and sat down on a bench outside the airport.

Suddenly, I heard my phone ping; it was a dm from Tamsyn.

'Where are you??'

'Um'
'Hey'
'I'm outside the airport'

'What are u doing istg'
'Jaehyuns so upset'
'He left right after u did'
'Crying'
'Legit'

I felt guilt prick my heart like a needle, and my self-esteem collapse.

'Sook??'
'U ok??'

'Mhm'

'I can't believe he proposed to u'
'And then u just left'

'Yeah'
'Ugh'
'I'm done with everything'
'I wanna just go and die'
'I feel so bad'

'Hey'
'Stop with the depressing talk'
'Just go and talk to him'
'Phone him idk'

'I don't have his phone number'

'What'

I went to the 'Explore' page, tapped on the search bar, and typed out 'jaejungjae'. The profile came up first, with the photo of Jaehyun, and I clicked on it and tried to message him.

'Yes I accept it'

I didn't really know what else to say. It was awful enough that I just left him there and then, but if he found out that Yuta kissed me, he would hate him forever. And he would get hurt beyond all limits.

'Hey!' I heard someone say from above me. Looking up, I saw the grinning face of Elena.

'Oh. Hi...' I mumbled, looking down again.

'Hm?' I heard her say quietly, sitting down next to me. 'What's wrong?'

I sighed.

'Everything. Everything's wrong.' I said quietly, putting my head in my hands.

'Woah over dramatic much tell me what actually happened.'

'Well, basically...' I started, unconsciously taking in a deep breath.

'So it's a really long story?' She said.

'What?'

'Whenever you say anything that's basically really long, you start with "well, basically"' She pointed out. It was true.

'Yeah, okay I know, but basically, after me and NCT landed at the airport, Jaehyun kinda left and then you know Tamsyn, who used to get the bus with us, she saw me standing next to Yuta and thought he was my bf and actually asked that and then Jaehyun came and then he gave me a H Samuels bag and there was a white box inside it with a ring in it and-'

'A RING??'

'Yes a ring, but then I didn't know what to do I was really shocked and stuff and then I just kinda saw Yuta turn around slowly and just leave and I was like, ok you're gonna kill me for this but I basically left Jaehyun there with the box in his hand and then went after Yuta.'

'YOU JUST LEFT HIM STANDING THERE??? KNEELING ON THE GROUND??'

'No no, he wasn't kneeling on the ground or anything but, look I wasn't thinking straight ok, I just gave him the box and went after Yuta.'

'Come on, that's just as bad!'

'You're not helping Elena.'

'Ok wow, so now you don't know what to do about it?'

'No there's more.' I said, glancing at her. She looked at me, nodding, as if to say 'Go on'.

'Yeah so I went after Yuta right, and then he was practically interrogating me, well not really he just asked why I came after him after I asked him why he left but then he...' I looked up to see her reaction. '..kissed me.'

Her eyes widened and her mouth opened wide.

'NO. WAY.' She said. 'Omg HE KISSED YOU, YOU ARE SO LUCKY WHY DOES EVERYTHING GOOD TO DO WITH KPOP IDOLS HAPPEN TO YOU???'

'Elena, it's not really a good thing...' I pointed out. 'Jaehyun would be really upset. And he would be even MORE upset if he found out that Yuta kissed me. And NOW I don't know what to do.'

'Well..' She started. 'Looks like there's only one thing you CAN do.'

'Yeah? What's that?'

'Come with me and meet BTS.'
