Percy's Proposal
Annabeth thought that the way Percy would propose would be special, stupid yet admirable. She had never expected it to be like this...
It was summer. August 18 to be exact. It seemed as if Percy forgot their anniversary. He wasn't anywhere in Camp the whole morning.
Later that afternoon, she headed to the beach expecting Percy to be there instead, what stood in front of her was one of the most beautiful castle she has ever seen.
What really surprised her was that the castle was made of water! Yet, the designs were both delicate and intricate. To sum it all up, it was magnificent.
She felt an urge to feel the castle walls but she was afraid that this beatiful building might collapse. But, curiosity got the best of her she decided to just place her palm on it.
She placed it on the castle wall and she got shocked that her hand went through, she quickly pulled it out. It was dry...
That was when she heard a shout : "No! Not again!"
She decided to leave.
----------------------------------------
it was already evening and all of the campers were in the Dining Pavilion.
Even the Romans, Amazons amd Huntresses were there.
I just sat there in my respective's Cabin table. Today was supposed to be a super happy day. Yet, it felt empty. She wanted Percy to be here. She wanted him to do something stupid. She just wanted to see her Seaweed Brain...
That was when the gods flashed into the Dining Pavilion. Everyone turned there attention to them.
"My daughter," Athena adressed me,
"Yes, mom?" I asked, quite irritated.
"there's someone awaiting you..." She guestured her hand to Percy wearing a baby blue tux.
He felt uncomfortablke and nervous. He was gripping something in his pocket.
Poseidon kept giving him encouraging nods and thumb-ups.
He took a deep breath and slipped something out of the pocket he was gripping.
It was...an apple?
What was he thinking?
He took another deep breath.
'Hey Annabeth," He called out.
i was to confused to say anything.
"catch." He simply said.
Then he threw the apple. I caught it by instinct.
Everyone became quiet. Percy was grinning hugely. Piper fainted. Aphrodite was tearing up. Thalia was smirking.
My mind took a while to process it.
Apple. Greeks...Schist!
"So," Percy started. "What do you say."
Instead, Annabeth surged forward and kissed him square on the lips.
"Does that answer your question?"
Percy nodded and carried me to that castle I found a while ago, bridal-style.
He brought me inside and if it was possible, it was more beautiful there.
"I made it just for you." He told me. "Happy Anniversary, Wise Girl."
"Happy Birthday, Seaweed Brain."
