Chapter 1

Percy's POV

I don't think I've ever been more nervous than this. I can't believe that I'm actually about to do this. I'm gonna propose to Annabeth Chase, the one who is in possession of my heart. I had her waiting on the beach, looking as beautiful as ever. I've been standing here for ten minutes trying to gather the courage to do what I was about to do. Wow. An ADHD demigod standing still for ten minutes is probably unheard of. I realized that I needed to stop thinking so much and let my impulsiveness take over. That's when I took my first step towards Annabeth.

As I walked up to her I threw the small black box I had in my hand into the ocean where I could retrieve it at any time. "Oh hello Annabeth, how long have you been standing here?" I hid a smirk.

"Shut up, Seaweed Brain. You know I was told to wait here for you." She looked at me with those intelligent gray eyes, flashing the heart melting smile that I lived for. For a moment I was at a loss for words. Then I remembered what I was here for.  With the power over water I had from being the son of Poseidon, I summoned a water staircase that led up to a table and chairs that were also made out of water. Everything was solid of course so I invited Annabeth to walk up the stairs.

"You can walk up the stairs now. I promise that it's more solid than last time." I laughed. The last time I did something like this with her didn't turn out so great. It was my first time using my powers that way so I wasn't used to it. She was walking up the stairs when I sneezed (losing my concentration in the process) and everything fell apart leaving Annabeth dropped onto the ground, soaked in what used to be stairs and a table. Now I've practiced so I don't need to concentrate anymore, but you can see why she didn't laugh with me when I mentioned the last time.

As we reached the table and sat down, the meal that I had specially prepared for this occasion appeared on the table: a box of pizza with extra pepperoni.

What?

Extra pepperoni is a big deal!

Anyway, when Annabeth saw the pizza, sarcasm laced her tone. "Wow, Percy! This is SUCH a fancy meal you've prepared! It goes PERFECT with the fancy stairs and table you've set up!"

"Thanks, I try." I had a cocky grin on my face. Even though we were both being sarcastic, we knew that pizza was perfect for the two of us.

"This is too nice for just a regular day at camp, Percy. So what's up." Annabeth asked, both excitement and curiosity lighting up her face. Her being the daughter of Athena, she was the smartest person I knew. I was very surprised to find out that she had no clue as to what was going on. We've talked often about getting married and having kids. We were both twenty years old so she should've of been expecting this proposal. But at least now I can surprise her.

After we devoured that pizza, I began to spill my heart out to her. "Annabeth Chase," as I started she must have seen the love that suddenly filled my eyes because her eyes matched the emotion of mine, "together we've been through so much. All of the things we went through bonded us further and further, until we fell in love with each other. You are now what my life needs to keep on going. My love for you is a burning passion that can withstand any and every thing that stands in our way. Knowing the fact that you feel the same way for me is the true happiness that I've always hoped that I would get." As I said this, I willed a stream of water from the ocean to hit the table. The stream then split apart into the sky forming the words "Seaweed Brain and Wise Girl Forever" Annabeth looked up at the words with tear filled eyes and gasped.

"Oh, Percy this is beautiful!"

"If you think that's cool, then wait 'till you look down." I was cherishing these moments, this being the best day of my life.

As she looked down, she seemed to sob and laugh at the same time. On the table had appeared the box that I had thrown into the ocean. The only difference was that it was open, showing off the beautiful sea green and gray ring. There was a sea green, mini trident in the middle of the ring with grey owls surrounding it. Both the owls and trident were glowing. Annabeth  pulled me to her side of the table and stood up. She threw her arms around my neck with, smiling from ear to ear, and kissed me. No doubt about it, this girl was my life. That kiss left my brain melted so I couldn't even find the words to propose to her. As if she read my mind she said "I will marry you Perseus Jackson, the one I gave my heart to and will forever love." Wait, didn't I say something like that? She took the ring and put it on her finger. I swept her off her feet and as she kissed me again I carried her down my water slide that had been formed out of the stairs and table. As my feet touched the ground I looked down at Annabeth, her still being in my arms.

" Let's have the wedding right-

I was interrupted by a thundering voice that seemed to have come from everywhere.

"PERSEUS JACKSON, I SHALL DESTROY YOU!!!" Startled, I looked around getting my pen, Riptide that turned into a sword once I uncapped it. My first thought and instinct was to protect Annabeth at all costs. A second later an intimidating man dressed in ancient robes and armor, wearing a black belt that showed gruesome images of war appeared. Behind him stood every single giant and titan that ever existed, including Gaea. The worst part was that they every one of them was glaring right at me, ready to destroy me at any second.
