Chapter 24

I'm gonna make it the law to vote for this book........you know what? I think I like reading comments more. So feed back would be nice :)

Percy's POV

The ancient laws yanked me out of the Chaos Void, leaving my body to be engulfed by a reality between the void and the realm above. Everything was attacking me, pushing me in multiple directions at once. The pressure on my body wouldn't allow me to focus enough to teleport, so I was forced to take the attack of the air around me.

"Let me go back home. Annabeth.....I need to train for her. Let me go home and train for Annabeth." I was unconscious, but still able to mumble her name. At the sound of it, the air stopped its onslaught, as if wanting to hear more. The sudden change of the environment made me more aware of myself. I spoke out loud this time. "I am trying to save the life of the one I love. Please, let me go back home." Something in the area reacted to my plead with a deep rumble. As soon as the sound forced its way to my ears, I knew that I was with a dark evil. A voice surrounded my entire body, making me feel crushed while I was floating through its domain.

"Lucky boy. Annabeth Chase has done me a deed. For that I will let you go. Do not find yourself in my domain again." Suddenly, my body flew upward at a level of speed I didn't even know existed. I could feel it tearing my body to shreds, and then my consciousness escaped me.

Third Person POV (At the Chaos Planet)

Chaos hadn't been so stressed out since the shinobi incident back when he first took his title as Creator of the Universe. Now after all these eons had passed by without any serious problems, Perseus Jackson had caught his eye. He had allowed this demigod to risk his life too many times, and with new resolve after the latest incident with Destruction's clone, Chaos was sure to never let Percy leave the training area again for a long time.

Even though it was him that ordered Alpha & Omega to inform Percy of how he could get to Annabeth, Chaos really wished he hadn't went to that place. There was a reason why Chaos had made that void Destruction's prison, and that was also the reason why Chaos really wanted him to return soon. Figuring that seeing Annabeth one last time would allow him to focus on his training, Chaos authorized the trip. Now he realized that this plan could backfire if Percy didn't come back alive.

The only thing that could be done now was to wait for the demigod to appear on the Universal Globe. The globe couldn't cross dimensions which was why Chaos was unable to use it to oversee Percy's actions in that hell of a void. Of course, him being the creator of the universe, he could do just about anything he wanted to. However, Chaos felt that he shouldn't permit a development of dependence in his trainee.

With a long sigh, Chaos seated himself in his throne and let his head slowly fall back with closed eyes. He could hear anything that made a noise on the planet, so peace and quiet was not what he received in the slightest. The world was restless after hearing about the latest appearance of Destruction. Chaos on the other hand, felt bad for the demigods back on Earth. Destruction shouldn't be their problem, and yet the evil maniac had a found a way to make it so. Chaos could fight Destruction himself, but his separate clones that were drastically weaker were a different story. The ancient laws always kept power levels in check and the difference between Destruction's clones and Chaos was ridiculously beyond comparison.

"Long time no see, big brother." Chaos immediately shot out of his chair, whirling around to see the last person he wanted to talk to right now. Destruction fearlessly walked up to his sibling and circled around him before continuing. "How've you been after all of these years?"

Chaos's face was void of emotion when he retorted. "You do not belong here. Stop with all of these clones before I disregard the ancient laws and make your little prison seem like a playground."

"Oh we both know you won't do that. You're the same as before, I can see it in your eyes." At these truthful words, Chaos almost faltered, creating a satisfied grin on the face of Destruction as he noticed. "Your mercy is what makes me stronger than you. You may be my brother, but I will do what I have to in order to get what I want." They stood in each other's faces, power radiating off of the both of them.

Taking the time to notice that his brother was giving off real power, Chaos realized that he was dealing with the real thing. There was no clone in the throne room, and now Chaos fully understood the situation. "This is the one, short time that you can actually escape your prison, and yet you so foolishly choose to come to me."

"Well, I was going to find Percy so that the feeling of my power would break his spirit, but that will be done later on in a more efficient way." Destruction's sadistic grin never disappeared throughout the conversation. He was planning on destroying Perseus Jackson, starting on the inside. Chaos had an idea of what it was that the father of evil would do, but had no choice but to let it happen.

"No matter what you do, he will become powerful. I'll make sure of that." In a flash, the tip of a sword was pointing out of Destruction's chest, the first brothers of the universe too wrapped up in their conversation to notice the attacker before.

***********************************
(A little while before)

The birds chirped in the sky simultaneously with the light rustling of the grass due to wind. Percy awoke to these unusually normal sounds, laying on his back in the middle of a completely green field. "What the hell is wrong with my life?" This thought ran through his head as he quickly noted his surroundings. In the distance, the entrance to Camp Half-Blood caught the eye of the aged demigod. It created a pang in his chest and a feeling of longing for what he had all of those years ago. The subject alone was enough to remind him of why he hated Destruction so much, causing a dangerous anger to stir from it's slumber inside of Percy.

The peaceful area no longer influenced him as he stood and slowly put his mask on. Alpha & Omega shined on the back of Percy, standing out from the rest of his dark outfit. The fearful weapons spoke in the mind of their wielder. "Beware, young one. A threat comes your way with intentions that you will most definitely disagree with."  The warning was given no reaction except for a gaze towards the Camp. After a couple seconds, Percy answered them.

"Thanks. It looks like Chaos is gonna have to wait a little longer for us."  Physically, Percy was immobile as he waited for the fight to come to him. On the other hand, he was mentally preparing himself for what would be a long and hard war. Aware of how much power he could use before he died at this point, Percy knew that he couldn't transform even for a second. That meant he would have to find a way to use the two blades on his back without triggering that power-draining form.

"Alpha & Omega are the only chance I have. They're the closest things here to gods and that's what I'm gonna need to take down these giants." As soon as Percy concluded this, the huge footsteps of his foes could be felt and heard from a mile away. All of the Giants and Titans were on their way to Camp Half-Blood to wreak havoc on any and every thing they could possibly find. They would've come sooner, but they had just now recovered from that last incident. (More details on that later) The Titans could finally see the camp in the distance, (the Giants spotted it much sooner) but as soon as they saw it, something black appeared in between the camp and them. Annoyed that someone would dare get in their way, they rushed to meet the insignificant roadblock.

As they arrived, they realized the disrespect that was being displayed to them. Their opponent had his back turned to them as he nonchalantly gazed at the strawberry fields. Percy hoped the Giants and Titans got the message that he wasn't intimidated by them whatsoever. Whatever the case, they were angry, judging by the spear that was thrown at the demigod.

Percy turned towards them with crossed arms, sidestepping the cowardly and mediocre attack in the process. "Is there a problem, gentlemen?" Porphyrion was the one to retort.

"Who are you to stand in the way of the strongest of Gaea?" His booming voice almost seemed to shake the ground, but Percy stood bored and unfazed as he spoke his intentions.

"Here's the thing, guys. You want to attack my home, but I can't let you do that. None of the people I love need to injure themselves getting involved in this because I'm completely capable all by myself. So I'll give you one suggestion: After I'm done with you here, if you ever gather enough stupidity to attempt an attack on my family again, you will never step out of the ground beneath me."

After this short speech, a chill went down a few of their spines, but most of them brushed off the threat as a bluff and the confident feeling spread throughout the group. Percy sensed this and would've chuckled if he wasn't in such a bad mood. In fact, he wasn't in the mood for any more conversation so he slowly put his hands on the hilts of the powerful weapons in back of him. Everyone tensed at this movement and waited to see what their single opponent would do.

"I have to restrain myself." Percy started to slide the swords out and felt something immediately. Willing the flow of power to stop, Percy slowly removed the blades from their hilt as he shook with the strain of holding back so much. What he was feeling didn't even feel like his own power. It seemed like a wild beast that wanted to let loose no matter what the cost was to it's owner. Percy's job was to tame this beast which he was having a difficult time doing. Finally, Percy realized how ridiculous it was that his own power was trying to control him and became annoyed. "I am not using any of this power. So STOP." The ground began to slightly rumble, reflecting Percy's frustration.

All at once, everything stopped. The aura that had been surrounding Percy had died down as the ground calmed itself. The Titans were a little creeped out by the show, but since nothing had happened, they figured that that's all it was; a show. What was intimidating was the two swords in his hands. One was a dark sea green and the other was a light sea green with his glowing eyes to match. Anyone would've surrendered by now, but Percy realized that this group was a special kind of stupid.

Looking around, Percy began to analyze the situation. There were twelve Giants and ten Titans which added up to twenty-two opponents, most of them being several times the size of the son of Poseidon. He let out an obvious sigh, aware of how much work this was gonna be. Without thinking too much about it, Percy disappeared in a flash. Polybotes felt something on top of him which was followed by a sword stabbing him on the top of his head. This attack was followed by many others of the same nature to everyone in the area. By the time Percy reappeared in front of them, blood was flying everywhere. Everyone had at least one serious wound from either Alpha, Omega, or both. This took place in less than a second so the human eye would have barely seen Percy move from his original spot at all.

Pretty satisfied with the outcome, Percy stated the title of his latest attack. "Army of One. How'd you guys like it?" He wasn't expecting much of a reply but as soon as the words escaped his lips, a response was exactly what he received. Two Titans appeared on either side of him with swords swinging. Before Percy could react, a light blinded him and the ground shook violently beneath him. The two swords that were coming towards his sides were to explode with power on impact, only inflicting pain on the object it touched. Percy had no clue what was going on and put up a defense as best he could with the time allotted. Then the swords made contact, and the explosion occurred.

Everyone waited for the smoke to clear to see what happened. The first thing to be seen was a defensive shield of water around Percy that was falling apart and smoking. On the sides of the bubble, the two Titans were on the ground, also smoking. When the swords had touched the water, the bubble pushed out which made the explosion move towards the two attackers, hence the unconscious Titans at his feet. Willing the shield to dissipate, Percy brought Alpha & Omega down through both of their heads. He then concentrated as spikes of ice branched off the two blades and tore the bodies to pieces, sending the Titans back to hell in the process.

"Two down, twenty more to go." The explosion had still impacted Percy, but he wouldn't dare show it. To his opponents he had to seem unstoppable no matter what was thrown at him. Next up were the Giants who staggered a bit as they stepped up. Percy didn't wait for them and swept all of their legs out from under them with one giant swing. One mortal had brought a dozen Giants down to his feet in seconds. This statement was going through everyone's mind as Percy went for another round of wounds to the Giants on the ground. Stretching his arms, the swords being an extension of them, Percy began to spin faster and faster until he was flying through the Giants, leaving several cuts everywhere he went. He mentally decided to call the attack "Tornado Blades."

Soon after he felt he could go on forever, a blade was sent flying and it made contact with Percy's. The momentum sent the lone sword flying, but not before it was cut in half. However, the sword still caused the desired effect due to the fact that it disrupted Percy's rhythm, forcing him to either stop or risk losing balance and hurting himself.

After stopping the attack, Percy jumped back to get a clear view of the damage done. All of the Giants lied in a pool of their own golden blood and hadn't moved at all. The Titans were frozen in shock from what just happened, so Percy figured that this was a perfect time to take out the Giants. The next attack was gonna be all out, so he was going to have to defeat the rest of the Titans with his swords and no powers at all.

Sticking Alpha & Omega in the ground to channel from their power, Percy began by opening up the Earth, dividing the Titans and Giants. To disorient and blind the Titans so that they wouldn't come to the aid of their brethren, a high wall of water shot out of the open ground. Then the horrifyingly gory attacked started. The ground beneath all of the Giants opened up, but before they could fall, the golden ichor that continuously flowed out of them solidified. It took the form of jagged spikes and continuously shoved themselves in and out of the bodies of the Giants in several different places. The speed of which they were getting attacked, kept them in the air as their bodies jerked with the attacks. When the shredded body parts began to detach themselves from one another, Percy rose the ground surrounding them and smashed his hands together along with the crushing of all those huge bodies by the Earth.

When the crumbling ground receded back to its original height and the wall of water stopped, there was nothing left but speechless Titans. Surprisingly, Percy wasn't feeling completely drained and he figured it was probably because he had been using a liquid that was already out in the air instead of summoning a source. "I was manipulating the blood of Titans and Giants; it should've taken a toll on me. I guess I'm getting better at this." He realized that Alpha & Omega were probably a good reason, too. With the two of them, Percy felt like he could do a lot more than he could with any other weapons he ever used.

"With one attack I destroyed all of your Giants. Now there is only eight of you Titans left. Do you still think you can handle me?" Something about that statement bugged Percy, but he just brushed it off to focus on the problem at hand.

The Titans knew not to back down. After all of those destructive attacks, the masked figure was sure to be tired by now. This was their chance to kill him and they had to do so quickly. Before Percy could even grab his swords from the ground, the Titans had circled him with no openings. Sighing as he pulled the blades out of the ground, he decided to wait for an attack this time. As Percy looked around, none of the faces seemed familiar and he had no clue who the Titans that he already killed were. "This must be their true forms. They would've killed most of the campers just by showing themselves to them." The thought that most of them wouldn't have even gotten the chance to fight for themselves infuriated Percy. Several swords were swung all at once and it was out of anger that Percy parried all of them.

One huge sword fight broke out, and the Titans had the upper hand. They had a lot more left in the tank than their opponent and attacked with blasts of pure energy along with their impressive use of swords, knives, and spears. Meanwhile, Percy was trying to fight against all of this with just two swords. The battle soon turned bloody and it was mostly red, not gold. However, the lone warrior continued to fight through all of the new injuries.

After an eternity of searching, Percy finally found the perfect opening and took advantage of it in the best way possible. Alpha & Omega found themselves in the chests of two Titans and as soon as the weapons touched blood, the blood was manipulated and jutted out of the body in huge spikes. Percy sighed in satisfaction as the two lifeless bodies fell to the ground and everyone else watched them in complete shock. One slip up had caused the two deaths of some of the most powerful spawn of Gaea. They knew to be extremely cautious now, or it meant their vacation from Tartarus would end.

Percy knew that he probably could do that attack six more times if need be, but it would mean he would have to touch the inside of their bodies to manipulate the blood like that. That's why he had to wait until Alpha & Omega were inside of two bodies before he went for the kill. Now it would be harder because they knew to stay on guard more so than before. They weren't the only ones who had to be cautious, however. If Percy wanted to make it out alive, he would have to stop getting hit by their weapons so many times.  He would've tried his Army of One attack again, but that took way too much stamina. Percy decided to change his style from head-on to stealth.

Before the Titans could react, the Earth quickly swallowed the man who had just killed two of them in a second. Everything was completely quiet and still as they all wondered what to do. The ground then exploded, blinding everyone as swords began spinning out of nowhere. Everyone got cut to an extent, leaving them incapacitated for a couple seconds while Percy grabbed one of the Titans and finished him off.

When everyone stood and regained their senses, what they saw was truly gruesome. One of their brothers had been cut into three; his head, body, and legs were all separate. Basically, there was only five of them left and they started to get nervous. Through the latest attack, the only thing any of them had seen were green blades spinning at them from the ground. Percy was still invisible to their eyes which didn't help their confidence. Fear of the new approach that Percy was taking creeped into them. If they couldn't see where he was coming from, how were they supposed attack or even defend?

Percy had teleported away from the scene and was now high up so that he could still see them. His next attack was going to require a lot of concentration so it took him a second to prepare. Two seconds later Alpha & Omega were thrown and landed in the bodies of two Titans. The attack using their golden ichor was used once again to change the odds to three to one. Knowing that using the same style of attack repeatedly would backfire, Percy teleported to his swords and pulled them out of the two bodies before the three Titans noticed him. When they did see him, they did something that caught Percy off guard.

The clang of metal was heard as they dropped their weapons and got down on one knee with heads bowed. One of them spoke up before Percy could react.

"You have obviously proved yourself to be a being far above us. Please spare us." Hesitation stopped Percy in his tracks, and that was all that the Titans needed. Percy noticed one of the three cowards beneath him flickered and tried to turn around as he realized he had been trapped. The sudden movement stopped the Titan behind him from stabbing him in the heart, but the fiery hot blade still went through Percy's gut. Then a barrier inside of Percy that made him who he was began to crumble as he realized what just happened.

"I tried to show them mercy and I almost died for it. No mercy. No more mercy." These words rushed through Percy's head as everything inside of him started falling apart. After all he'd been through, Percy had tried so hard not to break but this had been the last straw. Perseus Jackson was fading away and being replaced by a ruthless killer.

He mumbled too words before he attacked; "No mercy." Before any of the Titans could even process his words, they simultaneously exploded with blood flying everywhere, mostly on Percy. He hadn't even been close to their blood, but just simply willed every ounce of the ichor in their bodies to shoot outwards which caused their skin to break apart. Percy's body could hardly take such a draining attack, but at the moment he didn't care. His feelings were out of control and all he wanted to do was take it out on someone.

Earth was the last place Percy wanted to be since he was feeling so destructive, so he teleported to Chaos. When he landed, Percy stumbled a little in exhaustion, but once again, he couldn't care less for his physical well being. Having appeared, behind the Throne, Percy saw two figures a little farther in front of him and immediately understood the situation. Knowing that he would go unnoticed, the wounded hero slowly walked up to Destruction who had his back turned to him. Chaos was too wrapped up in what they were talking about to notice Percy's intrusion who was now close enough to hear what they were saying.

"This is the one, short time that you can actually escape your prison, and yet you so foolishly choose to come to me."

"Well, I was going to find Percy so that the feeling of my power would break his spirit, but that will be done later on in a more efficient way."

"No matter what you do, he will become powerful. I'll make sure of that." At this point, Percy was inches from Destruction and stabbed him right in the chest. When the blade was inside of him, Percy made water fill the insides of the most evil creature to ever live. Blood and water started to leak out of any open holes in Destruction's body, the overflowing liquids causing an unimaginable pain. As the victim cried out in physical agony, Percy's voice was unrecognizably deadly when he corrected Chaos's statement.

"I already am powerful." Destruction looked his brother in the eye one last time before disappearing.
