"It's only the 2nd of June, what are you doing here?" She asked him, as soon as she spotted his jet black hair in the crowd.

Somehow, the entire section was crowded today and Freida couldn't catch a break. Most of the women who came in were in their late 20s and early 30s so she had nothing to talk to them about. The teens who came in were either too shy or they simply didn't need her help. Seeing a friendly face in the crowd made her very happy, and it didn't hurt that this friendly face liked her.

"Coffee cake, you're back. How are you?" He hugged her, which took her by surprise and she took a sharp intake of breath but slowly eased into his arms.

"Why the nickname coffee cake?"

"Baby, it's because you're bittersweet and you keep me awake at night," he winked.

"Wow, that was cheesy, even for a cheeseball such as you. Also, you didn't answer my question. Why are you here? I know you were here two days ago so obviously, it's not to buy pads or tampons," she asked him.

"Well, Freida Jane, I, Carter Lane, came here today to ask you out on a date, officially. Will you go out with me? Also, our last names rhyme, we're really made for each other."

"I'll have to check my schedule. As you know, I also have work so I can't take off whenever I want to," she replied, chuckling.

"If you don't agree, my sister will most definitely come here and keep buying tampons and pads every day until you agree. Then, I'll be the one who's broke."

"Well, for your sake, I'm sure I can go out on a date with you," she drawled in a way which made him laugh.

He did say he was pretty damn fast, but he didn't mention he was smooth. Which, apparently, he was.
