Chapter 5: Meet Jules

Namjoon blew his nose, feeling his forehead drench with sweat as he shifted positions on the chair. Glancing over at the intern that seemed to leave water by the table in front of him, he smiled kindly in her sweet direction. Her eyes barely met his, exterior shy, and face round; creating a baby-face easily to look at and trust. The leader felt himself relax as he greeted her.

"Aoroma," he called out, bowing.

The girl bowed back before straightening and asking, "How are you doing today? Is there anything I can do to help?"

Namjoon shook his head, groaning a little to himself as he laid into the seat. He tried to drown out the muffled music that seemed to be pouring in through the halls of the event. At a music show, he glanced at the other boys lazily. All were in their own worlds. Some sleeping, while others pranced around catching footage for the fans and their sites. He knew all of them were insanely exhausted but they put on a show for the camera so they could get in a few laughs...

The girl seemed to notice Namjoon zoning out. Smiling kindly, she glanced over at the rest of the boys. "I'm sure your fans will understand if you can't make it to the show today. Don't overwork yourself oppa."

Namjoon's face squished as he looked over at the petite woman. He shook his head, "I'll be fine. Just a little cold."

"You've been sweating through all your clothes in the last hour oppa," she tried, her voice gentle. She was a soft-spoken woman and Namjoon couldn't help but smile at her caring. He didn't stop her as she continued to pour in some words, "The last thing I want is for you to pass out on stage. That won't be good for anyone...plus, I've seen how stressed BangPD nim has been for the past month, along with you, I just want everyone to be okay with themselves again."

Namjoon side-smirked, watching the adorable woman ramble.

"All of you need to rest," Aoroma softly whispered, glancing at few of the faces that were asleep on couches across from Namjoon, "It'll take a toll on your body if you don't manage yourself wisely."

"How cute," Namjoon chimed, smiling as he wiped the sweat off his face with a tissue, "Your care for us already is the sweetest. Thank you for the advice."

She smiled shyly and Namjoon licked his lips, glancing at the others asleep.

Aoroma extended her long hair behind her ear as she softly went, "I can't help but feel entitled to help out. You gave me a great welcoming."

Namjoon's face scrunched awkwardly as he registered what she meant. Staring at her shy eyes, her rosy cheeks, and her nervous exterior, Namjoon almost forgot about that 'welcoming' all together. Horrendously uncomfortable, Namjoon cleared his throat and bowed, "S-Sure. I, uh, I almost forgot if I'm going to be honest. Just know that I probably had a great time and wish you all the best in this position."

The adorable woman's brows knit slightly, her cheeks growing insanely red. "R-Right."

Namjoon almost choked on himself, hating that particular month where he had gone off the rails and started hooking up with whomever and whatever he saw. Eyes bugged, he tried not to shudder at the phased memory of all the faces he could remember. Jules. Jules must've--had to be a part of that period. She just had to!

The intern was back to smiling, hands clasping in front of her so innocently, "Well, I hope to help you out whenever. I'm here studying with your makeup artist and helping out, but whenever you need me I am always available."

Namjoon took a long moment to nod. He grew paler now. The woman's sweetness was making this entire situation darker than he wanted in his head.

"Namjoon oppa?"

He swallowed, flinching his head up to look at her round eyes.

"Ne?"

"I'm sorry if it's not my position to be asking but," she twitched, glancing back at the Jungkook who was cuddled asleep on one of the couches, "I've heard that the boys and you have a visitor that you're worried about? Is that why a lot of you are stressed?"

Namjoon sighed, remembering you and the reasons behind why he was struggling with an insane fever right now. He felt as if the devil was breathing over his shoulder repeatedly.

"Ne."

"May I ask why?"

"A family friend of," Namjoon swallowed, glancing over at Jin who was laughing hysterically into a camera as he filmed Taehyung eating, "...of Jin hyung's. It's been a slight hassle adjusting that's all."

Aoroma smiled, nodding. "Okay. If anything is needed to help ease the transition let me know."

Namjoon forced on a smile, wanting the sweet woman to leave so he could disappear in self-loathing for a moment. "Ne. If I need anything, I'll let you know."

The girl nodded, smiling. "I should get back to work." She giggled.

Namjoon wiped at his sweaty neck before waving his fingers pathetically in her direction. She bowed many times before leaving and he watched her walk away. Too tired to focus on anything, the man shut his eyes.

"How could you forget you slept with the new intern, you idiot!" he scolded under his breath to himself.

Glancing over at the other new staff that were around the corners, setting up their tables for makeup, dressing, or full on discussions on showtimes, Namjoon's eyes caught a few women that were looking his way shyly. He felt sick to his stomach when he could only briefly remember a few of their faces. (omg, I'm making Namjoon such a dog in this fanfic lmao) What made a sick Namjoon's brows arch was when he caught the same expression from one of the male interns that stood next to Aoroma. That one, that one there was surprising yet not at the same time.

"Seriously," Namjoon breathed out, blinked tiredly only to force his eyelids to close again, "How many people under staff did I sleep with?"

-

"Zero," you answered, mouth full as you raided the refrigerator.

Kennah snorted, the blood at his nails never leaking onto the counters as he held the sides and propped himself up. He was smiling and watching you eat almost everything that the members had stocked up for themselves. You were awake, healthier, and visiting this new week with such energy that you couldn't think of anything else but to fill your growling stomach.

"Zero percent chance of you kissing the leader again? I highly doubt that."

You tried not to shrivel in a whole over that embarrassing moment. From hot and heated, to sick and disgusting, all happened quick. Everything about that night was a disaster. From the make out, to the awkward acknowledgement after...you had apologized and he was red when giving you his clothes to sleep in. You didn't bother in making anyone your pet in this household as you went to sleep so quick in his bedroom.

If you were being honest, it was practically your room now. A week of inhabiting it, the covers smelt like you, the shower held products that were catered to you (that Jin would collect and buy for you) and you were no longer being constantly reminded by Jimin or Yoongi that this wasn't your home.

Taehyung, Jin, and even Jungkook helped you start walking freely again; you were no longer so sick. Namjoon, well, the leader got what you had and it was easier to manipulate him and get what you wanted because of him being overly tired and gross all the time. The accident with the coughing in his face, worked out better for you than ever sleeping with him would've done...so yay you. You felt like a queen in this dorm room. Everything you wanted for now at your fingertips.

You relatively felt safe.

"I don't need to encounter the boys in that way any more," you shrugged, realizing Kennah was waiting for you to snap out of thoughts and answer him. "I get everything I need from them now and I haven't had them touch me in any way. Win, win for everyone."

The man nodded, but there was a shrivel of smugness laced in his expression. "I see the way you look at the leader even if he's snorted out mucus into tissues...he looks at you the same way. I'm sure if he wasn't sick, he'd be trying for seconds."

You chewed slowly onto the sandwich you created. Not knowing what exactly you put in the garbage that was the bread, you didn't stop eating it however. The disgusting aftertaste being too amusing for you to just leave alone.

"He's just some horn-dog."

"...Yup, and you're a female version of that."

You scoffed, "Please, I've got certain standards as a girl that I wish to always meet."

Kennah grinned, eyes in disbelief and you rolled your eyes.

"Okay maybe I don't quite meet them always, but I try. That's something right?"

Kennah nodded, his smile slightly sad when watching you chomp further on the soggy sandwich.

"You sure your principles are the only reasons for why you aren't trying with him?"

You nodded, aimlessly and distracted as you tried not to barf the closer you came to finishing the disease between your palms. You felt like you were straight-out licking up and tasting some sweaty chode.

Your mouth was full, chunks almost flying out as you went, "What other reasoning would there be?"

Kennah smiled, his eyes falling to his jeans that were soaked in dry blood. He took a while to look back up and you and when he did, his eyes gleamed, his mouth forced into a bigger smile, and he framed a look that made you stop eating all together. You felt the energy of his sadness and it was the strangest feeling. Blinking, you watched him.

"You died Kennah," you whispered lightly, "only a little over a month ago. I still see you for crying out loud! I can't tell if it's my mind going crazy. So yeah, you're a potential reason behind why I can't just move on so quick."

The dead boy nodded, hoping off the counter and moving beside you. He leaned over so he could be right next to you, his elbows on the island you had your plate on. You could see that his shoulder was grazing yours, but you felt nothing at all.

"Like you said," he said with a light smile, "I'm dead."

You nodded.

His smile was starting off more genuine when he spoke the next words. "You'll eventually move on...know that that's what I want. I don't want you feeling guilty about anything- especially when you're kissing someone else or loving someone else. No need to think about me and feel sorry for yourself."

You knew he was talking about the event with Namjoon and you felt yourself getting hot. Trying not to stutter with your words, you looked at his dulling eyes. "I won't," were the only words that managed to escape your awkward lips.

"Good." He was staring at your lips.

Your brows furrowed lightly. If he truly was just your imagination, your stomach twisted over how sick this moment was. Here you were, wanting to kiss a dead boy that was close to you. If this was your mind playing tricks, your mind was a true messed up one.

You tried to gross yourself out by staring at how bloody his mouth was but that didn't help either. Instead, your heart rose faster in speed and all you kept thinking about were the moments you did kiss him in real...the kiss that was shared last between the two of you...

He looked away first, staring over at your disgusting sandwich. "What in the hell are you putting into your body?"

Your flustered form snapped out of it, staring back at the food, you continued talking to the air. "I'm getting myself better?"

"By eating mysterious meat that you found at the back of the fridge?" he asked, snorting.

You nodded, casual and collected with a grin. "Yes." You took another bite, exaggerated and in his face.

Kennah smiled, watching you eat.

"You're disgusting."

"I know," you popped, grinning before finishing up the entire bread. Chugging down the milk that you had poured up for yourself, you let out a huge, 'ah!' before smiling with a milk-stache in the dead boy's direction.

He laughed.

You watched the blood at his teeth shift onto his bottom lip as he did so. You felt like laughing with him, but a part of your heart was saddened and raging in discomfort.

"I need to get out of here soon."

"And go where? Back to Sato and Eric?"

"I'm sure Eric is probably dead after how I slashed him up," you addressed, suddenly so serious with the milk-stache still on top of your lips. "Sato will probably kill me, along with the others if they ever find me again."

"Knowing them, they're probably looking for you already. Anger and vengeance is a great motivator."

You nodded, pursing your lips. The milk spread more around your mouth, the mustache a longer twirl now.

"Sure, there's more security here. But they'll find me here eventually and when they do, I don't want to be the one responsible for killing an idol group."

"Where you planning to go?"

You silenced yourself, thinking. "Sarah. I need to find Sarah."

Kennah chuckled. "Alright, and if you get caught before you can get to her?"

You swallowed, not wanting to go back to those harsh and brutal conditions. And knowing your circumstances now, everyone who worked on torturing you would go ten-times harder for information, and for revenge on how you had escaped. It would be more personal. Torture and making it personal is wrong on so many levels; a lot can go wrong.

"If they get me, I'll try my best to kill her."

Kennah knew who you were referring to, but he asked anyway. "Who?"

You wiped at your lips, clean and presentable again.

"Jules," you whispered, slightly terrified over the mystery woman.

-

"Jules! I need that report by tomorrow morning!" a man screeched, making his presence in the large office. "No more slacking and asking for further times on stupid and overused excuses."

The woman moved from at her large window. The glass streamed the entire fourth wall of the room, allowing her to see down into the busy streets many floors below. She was at the middle sectors of the entire building; work space large and respectable for her image in the papers she wrote.

Jules Yellio, one of the bravest, most loyal, and intellectually able. Her work as a reporter for one of the most respected 'real' news columns in daily papers aided in her reputation. The woman, standing tall and staring out the window with the back to her supervisor, was high and mighty. Intimidating and strong, even her turn to look back at the man could've been projected as harsh and uninterested.

The man didn't blink, used to her aurora as he barked again.

"What's been going on with you this past year? You've been highly out of it since your vacation," he sighed out, his greying mustache scratching his upper lip as he scrunched his nose.

The tall woman said nothing, her eyes finally meeting the man as she moved around her desk in her pencil skirt and white blouse that stayed buttoned below the crease of her breasts. Her blazer long as it almost hit the back of her knees, barely flowing as the material of it itself was stern. She moved to lean against her glass table, sheets and pencils a neatly stalked pile by the side. Brows knitted, eyes dark and almond shaped, her structured face was flawless and looked as if it were kissed by the sun. Nor was she pale, nor was she dark.

"You look after my deadlines, my writing, and judge my work ethic. Which I respect." Her velvet voice called out, staring into the bulge that was her boss's stomach underneath his suit he was slightly sweating through. "But making theories on how or why I might not be myself is not respected or appreciated. The vacation has nothing to do with anything."

"You disappear, you grow sick constantly, and you're always eating as if you haven't been home in forever," the man said lowly, moving his large glasses up his nose. He noticed the tense woman before him grow more tense. He couldn't help but ask, "What is going on with you?"

Jules ignored him. "I'll have the article edited and released to your desk by tomorrow morning," she said expressionless, moving back around her desk so she could find her chair, "You can leave now."

The man sighed, hesitating in turning around. Before he could, he stopped when moving his hand into his pocket. Not wanting to bother asking why this information he collected was needed, he moved over anyway, a small slip in his hand as he slid it onto the desk.

"You asked for this address. Your assistant had me give it to you since they finally tracked all of it down."

Jules face paled as she went to reach for the paper. Swallowing hard, she glanced at it before tossing it over to the trash. "Tell her thanks for being late on that request," she harshly mumbled, "I've already found the man's address."

Her boss nodded slowly. "I know it's not my place to ask..." he hesitated, knowing who the address belonged to, "but why did you ask your assistant to find where a famous idol lived?"

Jules threw on a grin but it didn't catch her eyes. "You're right, it's not your place to ask."

"We're all just worried for you."

"It's nothing important."

"Jules," he sighed out, sweating down his temple.

Then woman's painted lips were dark brown. She puckered her lips and moved to open the drawer next to her seat. With slow hands, she placed a small black object over in the center of the glass table, making it easy for the man before her to view it in confusion.

Her eyes still didn't gleam along with the grin she held. "I've managed to get my hands on this USB."

The man looked at the small drive in confusion.

Jules smile fell. "The context in here and the address of the idol are linked."

"We don't do gossip-blog-styled writing about celebrities. We talk about the world! Politics! Dangers and natural disasters! Crisis!" the man chuckled out lightly, flaunting the paper he worked for, "If this-"

"This is big," Jules interrupted, sighing as she rolled out of her chair and placed the drive back to her desk. She locked the drawer, making sure it was protected by her side. "If not for the article I'll work on, then for me...for me it's big and important to know more about."

The man's smile faded over at Jules lost in her own thoughts yet again. Nodding slowly, he shifted back, clearing his throat.

"Just remember to have the article on approaching tornado down south on my desk tomorrow morning."

Jules nodded, standing up and watching her boss leave. As he was by the door, he turned, eyes narrowing.

"Don't get yourself in trouble," he advised lowly. "No story, no celebrity, and no USB drive should determine how invested you get with your writing."

Jules nodded.

"I'm serious, don't throw yourself in a hole that you can't crawl yourself back out from."

The woman pursed her darkened lips. "Too late for that sir."

-

A/N: I feel like so many of you are still so confused and that's exactly what I want. Mwhahaha. Okie, bye!
